DREAM CATCHER

absolute beauty of Desiree's composition

There are absolutes and they fall into the categories of art, formlessness, and composition. Deep in these recurring dreams of compositions we can write in the changes, and form the bounty, and make vague the borders, or cling to the misconceptions, or hear and learn of dreams not yet formed into temporal  space and design. It is a mythical design the form of dream we live in when enveloped and intertwined within the folds of the women designed for us, meant for us and calling us into the form they need, and we want to be in to be received by the dream She is. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 7.22.13

O, Black Woman !

My objectification of the Black female body

You are an object of useless wood
So how does one create what’s good?
Erotic minds are those who could ...
Create art from pieces of wood

For the object of you is the beauty of you
Like those who seek a heavenly view
That is the view of those who knew
That you are God’s creation true

To create a heaven in you IS to bless the object of you
The beautiful view that makes thinking askew
What else is man to do?
Who can object to you?

HER Story: perfection

Sensualista Milayo Negesti, by Saddi Khali Photos
naked in the light of day !

I look at this image without self criticism or judgment. Instead I focus on appreciating all that I am as I am in this moment. There is no way to perfect what is. My mere existence is perfection. Oneness with truth wipes away all the bullshit mental chatter. Wanting yourself is sensual at the core, but so deep, deeper than cellular, it's spiritual. Wanting myself is about saying YES to the agreement I made with the Creator to be ME. All of ME, not just the cool parts. It's wanting me when my own parents didn't know how to, it's responsibility for my life and being. It is sweet surrender. - Sensualista Milayo Negesti August 7, 2014

From a feeling deeper than fashion ...

A great and a many things stirred reading small hints you dropped about your essence and connections to African spirituality (Het Heru), the sacred beads that purposely set you apart.

I had to pause for quite awhile with the references to Fela Kuti Anikulapo and his impact on my life when I was alive and younger in Africa playing music. African women in America embraced by ritual to who they are stand out. I could go on but you are at ease in this picture and beautiful.  - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 4/28/15

STATE OF EMERGENCY

Baltimore police & rioters near Mondawmin Mall. This is the area near The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore & Frederick Douglass High School

Just a few minutes ago going through one of our local reporter's Facebook page (Jamie Sullivan) the picture of the rioting in Baltimore, Maryland caused me to pause and read the comments. One of the first reactions jumped out at me.

Bruce Pickett "I they would kill Obama this would stop."

"Kill Obama?" was my response. "What kind of mind and spirit do you have? It is also a felony in these times to threaten the President. And anyway it wouldn't. Your suggestion is stupid. It doesn't have a logical path leading to or from common sense, or glimpse a solution to a complex problem, which is not only in Baltimore, but in cities across the country. The depth of your contradictions borders between ignorance & giddy racism buoyed by how little your ability to make significant historical connections stays afloat.
You went to Crispus Attucks high school. Crispus Attucks was an Natick Indian, whose father was an African. You rant against a Black president, but you learned nothing about the deep links between the freedoms you enjoy and the relationship of the Africans and the Native Americans with the Europeans. Crispus Attucks was the first to die in the Revolutionary War, man! Didn't you know that influence on your life?"

The desire to kill the President amongst many white Americans is alive and well, and feels like it is tolerated alongside the KKK's right to free speech is protected by the Constitution and the Klan's supporters in high places. My civic duty is to turn his threat to the Secret Service. Should I?

CHILD SUPPORT

“…I did that with all of my children. The intangibles created between father and children are undeniable in the wake of later life experiences that threaten the bond, and the legitimacy of a father.”

Children know nothing else but trust until fear is introduced as a custodial parent, a bully, a jealous sibling, or aunt, a tyrannical reign of parenting, the harsh form of educating commonly practiced. Outside of the prescribed circle for all children the rude awakening is abandonment, an emotion not meant for a child.- Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

Father to son - mirrored power

Yesse Rodriguez by Erika King
at studio of Rick Crank in 2014

The high estimation of a woman mirrors into a man several elements at once in a glance, a suggestion, a moment of dreaming or in the magnificence of her presence. The symbol of hope in a woman is the betterment concept within women liken to the Corn Mother story of the Cherokee people when the undisciplined and disrespectful Kanati, the Hunter met Selu, the Corn Mother and his manners from deep where Creator had placed them surfaced as he helped her down from the corn stalk! What is that? That is transformative energies!

A woman's body is Oriborus, the cycle that begins as soon as it ends. A man can think he is (in the street vernacular) 'tearing up the pussy', when in fact he is a creative source of original elements of and from the first days! To live and die within pussy is the limitless experience of release from care, from the body into the ethereal freedom of transcendence. Coming, or 'having a nut' as they say in the streets is the spiritual experience the experience of trance, the Holy Ghost and possession puts a man's deeper soul into without the persuasion of doctrine! ~ Gregory E. Profound CHANGES

This was given to me at my wheel in prayer. This was written in 2006 and looking at this now it is uncannily accurate:

My dear ones remember to hold space of love, light, and healing in these difficult times. The Universe is beginning to put into play the birth pangs of a new and great movement. As darkness descends on this plane, more and more Light workers will be put in place around the globe. Some will be right in the middle of the chaos bringing light, love, healing and a refuge. Others may be martyred in the process of this change. Some will be sent to regions of safety, pockets of calm in the middle of the storm to bring about the ultimate plan that the Universe has in store for its Children.

Along with the conflict among men, there will be more incidents of global phenomenons such as earthquakes, floods, severe weather changes and patterns. Expect more economic and political upheaval in the coming two years. Understand that no change, no birth process is ever without the pains that go with it. One can either submit to fear, or submit to the Light. Watch what you manifest, and remember that what you think, what you say effects change on this physical plane. Be vigilant, but not fearful. Be full of Light and love, and continue to move forward.

We recently had a huge energy shift which started yesterday and is continuing over the next couple of days. In your daily time remember to manifest as much positive and loving energy as you can. As you work, as you eat, as you sleep, continue to bring down this new energy matrix through your meditations, your thoughts, and your intent. Remember that the vibrations of this energy are comparable to a spiritual earthquake. Keep grounded and watchful and continue to ask for guidance as this energy shift continues.

We are very pleased with all our Light workers and wish to let you know how much loved and how very special you all are. We honor your commitment to your contracts and we are joyful in your awakening.

Grandmother

Profound insight from Brother Rahkweeskeh Miller ...in answer to the conundrum:

"...post traumatic planetary enslavement affects EVERYONE ...NO ONE is unaffected ...there's no 'winners' ...the whole of life is made LESS by it's having been inaugurated ...yet who is willing to OVERCOME THE SPIRITUAL WOUNDING ...THE DEEP PSYCHIC DISSONANCE ...THE BLEEDING SOUL INJURIES WHERE JOY CANNOT TAKE ROOT"? ( excerpt of post by Mereana Taki ).

Sacred form of a Black Woman

"Those whose spirits have evolved to this level and will not except anything less for themselves. Those who are willing to face the pain of their spiritual and physical heart, the pain of their spirit and the pain that is within their mind and body. Those who are willing to face the computerized program of thinking and emotionally feeling ( the big lie within that makes them think and feel that this is who I am ) and have the guts to to face this enemy and all the enemies within and free their mind, their heart, their spirit and their body from these genocidal diseases within, even if they feel that this is the last minute of their life. Then free their spirit within, realize the good their spirit brings into this life and has accomplished in this life, accept this of themselves, honor this of themselves, have the inner peace, clarity, caring and love, strength, confidence and courage to continue their evolution on this spiritual journey through this physical life, no matter what. This is what the world we live in now, demands. Born Awake, Will never go to Sleep".

Affirmed with deft clarity by DawnWolf KeeperofStories: "Who is willing to overcome the spiritual wounding?" Those who want to live, and live abundantly."

Reinforced by the Spiritual edification of Osagie Ayanru"Those whose conscience demands a holistic approach to the human condition as presently exists in order, to forge ahead and work towards unconditional love for one and all. Love is the only answer and it has always been".  - (August 24, 2013)

an ELDER TALK: Crossed legs

beautiful legs of a mature Megan 2
A woman's crossed legs speak directly to something and speak about things we (men) cannot touch save by permission. I learned that difficult art in my late teens. Or rather I began to learn that language as a teenager because of my mother's tutelage. So subtle the art I hesitate to share it in this medium. This is one of those things best absorbed between a boy and a man on a walk, or in the quiet excitement of girl watching anywhere there are women to pay attention to. That venue, or setting makes the impression of the words, the insights into women, and the women's reactions to our presence potent. In a public setting man to boy is felt at deep levels by older women. They sense the exchange and at anytime I can, and have interrupted a woman's shopping asking her opinion, or including her in the conversation. The effect is immediate and brings every point home. I've never had a negative experience with this style of teaching a boy, or young man. Women are glad to participate in the developmental process. It is a womb contribution. - Gregory E. From our Ancestors - Initiate the children

There was and it is ongoing, and good work going on in the Washington DC area. One of the movements for the last 10+ years comes from the House of One Common Unity. One of their projects took months to pull off a few years ago. In the end it was successful. What they did was develop the old with the new and created an initiation process for 16 young Black teenagers from Washington DC. The last and an important part I played in was being the pourer for the Sacred Lodge ceremony with my wife present and assisting us, and a fellow Wisdom Keeper, Pegi. This completed the initiation. The transformation from child to adulthood was beyond words to describe the moment they emerged from the sweat lodge initiated. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 4.24.15

Teaching Nahautl language, variente huasteca!! English and some Spanish translation....

Nahuatl man of education

Nahuatl also know as Aztec or Mexican, is the most widely spoken indigenous language of North America. It was spoken by the Mexica (Aztec) centuries ago and continues to be spoken by millions in Mexico and Central America today. It belongs to the Uto-Aztecan family of languages, a linguistic complex that is very widely diffused throughout central and northeastern Mexico as will as the American southwest. It is related to the Huichol language of Nayarit the Yaqui and Raramuri (Tarahumara) of Chihuahua, the Hopi of Arizona, the Shoshone of Wyoming, the Comanche of texas, the Luiseno of California, and the Paiute of Oklahoma.

The Golden Age of the language coincided with the period of Aztec dominance from the early fifteenth to the early sixteenth century during this period the language spread from central to western Mexico, to the Gulf Coast, and into Central America. Nahuatl enjoyed its greatest flowering in the valley of Mexico, where the great cities of the empire were located: Tetzcohco, Mexico-Tenochtitlan, and Tlacopan, the capitals of the Mexica empire. ~ anon

Thinking Within

The Missing Axe
From Stories of the Spirit, Stories of the Heart

A man whose axe was missing suspected his neighbor's son. The boy walked like a thief, looked like a thief, and spoke like a thief. But the man found his axe while he was digging in the valley. The next time he saw the neighbor's son, the boy walked, looked, and spoke like any other child.

Reflection Questions:

What one word would you use to describe most people you know? (Kind? Mean? Loving? Untrustworthy?)

What one word would you use to describe yourself?

If you could only choose one word to describe how the entire world would act towards you, what word would that be?

What is one small thing you could do every day to act towards the world in that very same way?

I hope you've enjoyed this story from the book Stories of the Spirit, Stories of the Heart.

Sacred Woman by David Patterson
'When the vagina is healthy and smells sweet and fresh the benefits are mutual...'
- Daria Lyun

When the vagina is healthy and smells sweet and fresh, the benefits are mutual. The female receives blissful pleasure and the male receives a beneficial nectar that stimulates his 3rd eye (pineal gland) enhancing his intuition, psychic abilities, and spiritual faculties. His pituitary and pineal glands are stimulated, nourished, and rejuvenated. His higher chakras become wide open in healthy and safe fashion. If his higher chakras are blocked, they become balanced or aligned from the act and mystical secretions (sex juices). Men benefit from the mystical properties of female secretions while performing cunnilingus.

Gittin' GRAY

Black American woman with gray hair

10 Head-Scratching Facts About Gray Hair

1. HOW HAIR TURNS GRAY

Hair grows in a follicle, a bulb-like tube on your scalp. The average head has 100,000 to 150,000 follicles, each operating independently from the others. Hair in its basic, unpigmented state is white. It gets its color from melanin, a pigment that also determines skin color. Two types of melanin, eumelanin (dark brown or black) and phaeomelanin (reddish yellow), combine to make all the hair colors. One hypothesis for why hair goes gray is that aging slows or stops the hair from accessing the melanin, so it comes out gray, silver, or white instead.

2. HAIR MAY BLEACH ITSELF FROM THE INSIDE OUT

New research reveals that graying may be from a build-up of hydrogen peroxide in the hair cell, which causes the hair to bleach itself on the inside. Cells naturally have a small amount of hydrogen peroxide in them, but it’s kept in check by an enzyme called catalase, which converts the hydrogen peroxide to oxygen and water. As we age, the body produces less catalase, so the hydrogen peroxide builds up and, according to the New York Times, blocks “the normal synthesis of melanin, the natural pigment in hair.” Thus the hair turns gray, giving new meaning to the phrase “peroxide blonde.”

3. GRAYING IS CAUSED BY HEREDITY

When you’re born, your genes are already hardwired for when and how your hair will turn gray. This includes premature graying—people who gray before age 30 usually do so because it runs in the family. For most of us, graying starts in middle age. Dermatologists go by the 50/50/50 rule of thumb: by age 50, half the population will have at least 50 percent gray hair—although a worldwide survey showed that number was much lower, with only 6 to 23 percent of people half gray by age 50.

4. RACE IS ALSO A FACTOR

In a related matter, race also determines when you’re likely to gray. In general, Caucasians gray in their mid-30s, Asians in their late-30s, and African Americans in their 40s.

5. PLUCKING ONE GRAY HAIR WILL NOT CAUSE THREE TO GROW IN ITS PLACE

This old wives’ tale is a myth. Each follicle can contain only one hair, and plucking it won’t make it able to produce multiple hairs. Furthermore, what you do to one follicle has no effect on the ones around it. That said, excessive plucking isn’t a good idea—it can damage the follicles and even stop hair production in that area altogether.

Mayor Marion Barry & Effie Barry

6. STRESS PROBABLY PLAYS A ROLE IN GRAYING

When President Obama went gray his first term in office, was it stress, age, or a combination of both? Scientists aren’t sure. While some researchers say that your genes alone are responsible for gray hair, others say that there seems to be a connection between graying and stress, just no direct link to prove it. In 2011, a study by Nobel Prize winner Robert Lefkowitz discovered that long-term productions of the body’s fight or flight response—the instinctive ability to mobilize energy in response to a threatening situation—can damage your DNA and cause premature aging, including graying hair.

7. TRAUMA WON’T MAKE YOU GO GRAY OVERNIGHT

Another myth is that a major shock will cause your hair to suddenly turn gray. This is sometimes called the Marie Antoinette Syndrome because the French queen’s hair supposedly turned white the night before she was beheaded. But hair, once grown, doesn’t change color, so waking up with a head of white hair isn’t going to happen. Although there is a very rare condition where all of the colored hairs can fall out, leaving only white hairs behind, the simpler answer is that Marie Antoinette probably just took off her wig.

8. SMOKING MAY CAUSE YOU TO PREMATURELY GRAY

Multiple studies have linked smoking with premature aging, which includes early graying. In 2013, a study found that there is a significant relationship between smoking and gray hair in people under 30. In fact, “smokers were two and half times more prone to develop PHG” or premature hair graying.

9. BODY HAIR ALSO TURNS GRAY

All your body hair—chest, nose, pubic, etc.—can turn gray. Body hair tends to gray at a different rate than the hair on your head, which is why some men can have gray beards and brown hair, or visa versa. By the way, dyeing gray pubic hair is a thing.

10. SOMEDAY, RESEARCH MAY LEAD TO A GRAY HAIR CURE

Scientists in Europe discovered a breakthrough with vitiligo, a disease where skin loses pigment and develops white patches. Like hair, vitiligo is caused by “massive oxidative stress via accumulation of hydrogen peroxide,” causing the skin to bleach itself from the inside out. Researchers have successfully treated the discolored skin and eyelashes of vitiligo patients, which has led some to predict a potential cure for gray hair. But while the idea sounds promising, history is full of tonics and creams claiming to cure gray hair. As far as we know, none of them have worked yet.

What Does Not Change

Seeing a poor white man holding a sign reading, "Rich people paying rich people to tell middle class people to blame poor people." touches my heart and stirs my memories. Reminds me of the history between rich whites and poor whites, who named poor whites 'crackers', and pitted them against themselves to vote against their best interests based upon the notion they were worthless, but had value because they were at least better than Colored folks. It is a psychology in full strength in today's political climate resistant to seeing itself as it truly is undermining the best in people. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 3.24.15
