In different ways many men, and some women I know ask, "Why do such beautifully sculpted, or fine women seek to permanently ink themselves with what only looks good for the moment?"

Some who know about henna suggest it as an alternative. One man, Michael Demaris Jr. (whom I don't know) beseeched women to use henna. "Please ladies use henna instead to retain your beauty when its all over."

It is a pity and a social commentary that women like Playmate Wendy Du Toit, for example, feel they need breast implants. Her breasts were probably good to look at and the touch memorable for somebody. It is the fashion industry that barely hides its contempt for women, or perhaps it is the envy of the primary movers and shapers of the fashion industry that prefers the distortion of women, not the development and unfolding of women's beauty, their bodies or their destinies. - Gregory E. The Goddess understood through the Orishas, as practiced in many traditional African societies, is profoundly different from modern Western cultures. ''White men from Europe have deeply invested terror into the notion of empowerment, power and the Goddess in religion and business and social life. In the United States the mantle was passed and according to tradition the terror has found ways to change form up to the present.

Men and women flip the title, Goddess, around so casually. Probably it is a safe way to toy with the idea, and play with the word, but to embody the whole meaning, and tradition is still dangerous for a woman. If it wasn't dangerous why is it so difficult for women to transition from the second realm of Being, from the Mother's energies to the Old Crone, Old Wise Woman?

The imbalance and the absurdity of the dance is plain, evident and in the open. Young women watch older women gyrating pathetically, at some point, trying to be younger distorting, or freezing their faces into one moment, doing any number of things to appease immaturity and the other wonderful things about being young, as if to age is the bane of existence, and wisdoms and powers are unimportant achievements.
