STAR WORLD 3 “There is a sweeping sensation flying over landscapes unencumbered by machinery, or clothes. Holding your arms close to your body and tunneling through air, being knocked abruptly by unseen pockets of wind making tunnels above ground, and swooping, up then down inches above the tops of grasslands is an indescribable feeling. You don't feel powerful in the sense that you can dominate anyone. It is a connection; a collection of elements in one expanse that is a part of you, but not you. You can't possess it. You can enjoy it, but ownership of anything is in the moments passing your body at the speed of thought-sound. Your loose genitals in the air suddenly are of no importance. The air has absorbed your body into the air. You are invisible to everyone who could see you. You see them. They feel you going by. That is how we learned to study the Earth before we came here.” © Gregory E. Woods 10.19.12 |
