The Book of Going Forth By Day

"Before there existed the Ten Commandmants there were the moral laws observed in Egypt known as the 42 Declarations of Innocence of Maat which is known as the 42 Negative Confessions." ~Carmen Stevenson, researcher

Goddess in the midst of dawn

THE TEN COMMANDEMNTS (Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV)

1 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

2 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.

3 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. Confession#37

4 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

5 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
6 “You shall not murder. Confession #5
7 “You shall not commit adultery. See Confession #23
8 “You shall not steal. Confession#4
9 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Confession#9
10 “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.” Confession #40

"AND MOSES WAS LEARNED IN ALL THE WISDOMS OF THE EGYPTIANS". Act 7:22

IF Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible having been raised as the son of Pharoah's daughter
the 'influence' has been passed off in Commandments that were originally 'Confessions" that were spoken when the deceased crossed over to Duat (underworld)led by Anubis to the goddess Maat and confessed "I have not" for which the testament was weighed by her white feather, if it was balanced he was led to Osirus/Ausar and given immortality due to the respect of these laws that balance the universe. Moral codes of ethic's began in Egypt, it is ironic for Moses to go up into the mountain, metaphyically it means a high state of enlightment and came down the mountain with the 'ten commandments' to the hedonistic Israelites who needed 'The Law'.

It is from these Principles, erroneously called the 42 Negative Confessions by European Egyptologists that the Christian religion got it’s 10 Commandments. Unlike the Spook principle of Idols and exterior divinity our ancestors manifested the indwelling divinity and said “I have not” instead of being ordered “Thou Shalt not”.

These 42 declarations were pronounced by the deceased after Anubis took him/her to the presence of the Goddess Maat and the Divine Judge Tehuti. If the Principles of Maat were respected the heart of the deceased would have nothing weighing down, so it would be lighter than the feather and everlasting life would be given due to respect of these laws that balance the Universe.

Bear Legend - Cherokee

Native American Cherokee Chief Wilma Man Killer

In the long ago time, there was a Cherokee Clan call the Ani-Tsa-gu-hi (Ahnee-Jah-goo- hee), and in one family of this clan was a boy who used to leave home and be gone all day in the mountains. After a while he went oftener and stayed longer, until at last he would not eat in the house at all, but started off at daybreak and did not come back until night. His parents scolded, but that did no good, and the boy still went every day until they noticed that long brown hair was beginning to grow out all over his body. Then they wondered and asked him why it was that he wanted to be so much in the woods that he would not even eat at home. Said the boy, "I find plenty to eat there, and it is better than the corn and beans we have in the settlements, and pretty soon I am going into the woods to say all the time." His parents were worried and begged him not leave them, but he said, "It is better there than here, and you see I am beginning to be different already, so that I can not live here any longer. If you will come with me, there is plenty for all of us and you will never have to work for it; but if you want to come, you must first fast seven days."

The father and mother talked it over and then told the headmen of the clan. They held a council about the matter and after everything had been said they decided: "Here we must work hard and have not always enough. There he says is always plenty without work. We will go with him." So they fasted seven days, and on the seventh morning al the Ani-Tsa-gu-hi left the settlement and started for the mountains as the boy led the way.

When the people of the other towns heard of it they were very sorry and sent their headmen to persuade the Ani Tsaguhi to stay at home and not go into the woods to live. The messengers found them already on the way, and were surprised to notice that their bodies were beginning to be covered with hair like that of animals, because for seven days they had not taken human food and their nature was changing. The Ani Tsaguhi would not come back, but said, "We are going where there is always plenty to eat. Hereafter we shall be called Yonv(a) (bears), and when you yourselves are hungry come into the woods and call us and we shall shall come to give you our own flesh. You need not be afraid to kill us, for we shall live always." Then they taught the messengers the songs with which to call them and bear hunters have these songs still. When they had finished the songs, the Ani Tsaguhi started on again and the messengers turned back to the settlements, but after going a little way they looked back and saw a drove of bears going into the woods.

(4) Honesty is one of THE MOST SEXIEST qualities on this planet. -Mereana Taki

African American mature woman

Cleo

Women give birth to children. This creative process is outside of the scope of a man’s ability to plant seed in his woman, and perhaps outside the scope of understanding beyond the need to have sex with an ideal of sexuality. Birthing transforms life forms, reshapes families, relationships, and women’s bodies. Birthing a child changes a mother’s relationship with life, beauty, need, health, work, fashion, and the dreams she held, since her own birth, for herself. Because the journey from immaturity towards maturity is necessary who decided a woman’s beauty, and her body is supposed to remain in the immature state of a 20-something year old woman? Is the survival habit of compliance so deeply ingrained within women that the acceptance of the fashion industry’s standard as their standard so easily donned as apparel? What happened within the struggle for equality, for the rights of woman in their country, or the long fight from the inquisition period of Europe to the shores of the Red Man?

Homosexual men dominate the fashion industry. What is as yet unearthed within that paradigm that works against women, and their assessment of self, and womanhood; African in particular? This subject is an immature women’s forbidden zone. They don’t have the divinity, and the depth of maturity to approach the subject in private or in public because the fear of the Gay community’s political power, but that influence courses deep within the inner woman making decisions for them. On the other hand religious establishments prefer old women, not the Wise Women, the Old Crones. If the initiatory approach to the three stages of a woman’s growth is deleted from religious practice what hope is there of women aging with power, insight, depth, beauty, and mystery, or developing the prerequisite allure of an older woman’s sensuality?

GOOSE MEDICINE

Lessons Of The Geese

In the fall when you see geese heading south for the winter flying along in a "V" Formation, you might be interested in knowing what science has discovered about why they fly that way. It is because as each bird flaps its wings it creates lift for the bird immediately behind. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock is able to add at least 71% greater flying range, then if each bird was to fly on its own.

Quite similar people who are part of a team and share a common direction get where they are going quicker and easier, because they are traveling together, and the strength of each other helps to lift up and motivate one another along the way. Whenever a goose falls out of formation it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go through it alone and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the power of the flock. If we have as much sense as a goose, we will stay in formation and share information with those who are headed to the same place we are.

When the lead goose gets tired, he rotates in the wings and another goose takes over. It pays to share leadership and takes turns doing the hard jobs. The geese in the back honk, to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.Words of support and inspiration helps energize those on the front line, helping them to keep pace in spite of the day-to-day pressure and fatigue. It is important that our honks be encouraging otherwise its just well.....Honking.

Finally, when a goose gets sick or is wounded and falls out, two geese fall out of formation and follow the injured one down to help and protect him. They stay with him until he ether is able to fly or until he is dead, then they launch out with another formation to catch up with their group. When one of us is down it is up to the others to stand by us in our time of trouble to help and protect us.

We need to stay in formation with those headed where we want to go. It makes the trip easier when we shear the tasks, and burdens along the way.The next time you see a formation of geese. Remember their message that:it is indeed a reward, a challenge, and a privilege to be a contributing member of a team on this road called life.

EYE STORY ANCIENT OF DAYS

Inuit Woman's eyes show us something of her landscape and the prayers of her Ancients dancing in her Soul.

http://www.theancientweb.com/images/explore/Canada_Inuit_Woman.jpg

This Inuit Woman in ritual costume shows us other eyes within the same diaspora so that the dimensionalism of eyes as Gateways of the Soul essence travels with its own YOUniqueness into our own.

http://www.teojasmin.com/media/produit/img/101-Inuit1_300x430.jpg

This Inuit Child has immaculate perceptivity which shines out of his eyes. There is something deep and wise immediately recognisable for me that is reflecting through this Childs inner Light. Eyes are also a visual exchange not only of the observed. Our own Subjectivity is at play in this imaginista of potential meanings and their ascribability without truly walking amongst our Sacred Kin and all of the Life textures which gives meaning to life according to their living realities.

I have Chosen the Inuit as their World is closer to their original lifeways and our own are more readily re understood upon a continuum of possibilities through which to re imagine ourselves.

Classical Medicine Wheel Teachings in Montana

These four ceremonies give a thorough understanding of perceptual learning of the meaning and depth of North American Knowledge and spirituality bringing us back to even the ice age. The classical medicine wheel teachings when completed make it possible to have a deep insight to all tribal ceremonies and rituals in North America and in fact in other indigenous cultures as well. These classical teachings are the beginning of the way to understand the way of true medicine that is returning to the earth through the prophecies and the keepers and teachers of these ancient ceremonies.

marriage, puritan ethic, technology

Earth

The puritan ethic, fundamentalism of Christianity, Islam and machismo, and the general consensus of the American perception regards the man as head of household and head over the wife. Translated into real life how true is this? How does it compare with the power of sexual politics, the prerequisite vulnerability of intimacy and the change and challenge technology introduced into marriage?

The actor, Ossie Davis, was often asked about and always admired for his long marriage to Ruby Dee. They had children and two careers as working actors, writers and directors but stayed tight and secure in their marriage business affairs, and friendship. In one interview Mr. Davis said that technology came into play and altered the tenor and fabric of all marriages. He spoke against the tendency of many to cling to paradigms that worked sixty, or seventy years ago against the life style change modern technology brought to the game of marriage.

I myself, divorced, found the creation story, Adam and Eve, full of flaws. Those flaws of perception were deeply imbedded into my consciousness. They needed to be examined and examined honestly. I took the basic premise of their teaching and turned it upside down for a simple and obvious reason. A man cannot give birth!  I placed Eve as first created and adjusted my place in the world and my world around this conceptual view, and my entire world changed!

I dare you.

Sandra Bullock in the threshold

Sandra Bullock has set a standard in my mind above the normal boundaries set by many beautiful women. Not taking herself as serious as one would assume has enhanced her outlook on life as she has conducted her life before her public, and made her seem approachable. But celebrity life is an illusion. Sales are the essence of show business. The sale of ideas, and illusions requires agreements on both sides of perception and belief. One, the public needs to believe a celebrity is approachable and like them or like they wish they could become one day, and on the other hand, the star needs to own a part of herself the public cannot access. The type of vulnerability Sandra Bullock carries within herself tells a clear story of trust: trust in public acceptance of her talent, and free spirit, trust in the idea of herself as a woman, and actress, and trust in the surety of ideas that support her sense of self that make her vulnerable. People unsure of themselves who cannot take confidence in their moral compass follow her love stories like movies. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

MARRIAGE: a healer's story

breath taking sight on the sofa

The first time a white woman showed deep interest in me was in college. It frightened me. Pat Pritchard's lips curled somewhere between a smile, temptation, a sneer and a promise. Sometimes it relaxed into a thin line forcing my gaze upward into her deep-set eyes. Her eyes were blue. The blue in her eyes moved the way the waters moved around the Hawaiian Islands in the 1960's. I felt like the depth and gentleness of her eyes would caress me endlessly. It scared me. I knew the lines of her body were drawn by special creatures who studied lines, and motion with such intensity that the intangible qualities of her love-making would capture and hold me against the contradictory nature of my politics, and emotions around white people, race, and my sense of Africa.

She would invite me to clubs. The big names of the times, Miles, Lonnie Liston Smith, and others, would show up at Blue’s Alley and I wanted to go but I wouldn’t go with Pat. But every excuse I had was weak and she met every objection with a solution. She had a car, she would pay for it, she didn’t care about the quality of my clothes, and she loved being with me. She could see my soul. That scared me because she was white and held a type of beauty I understood, and within the spaces between us I was safe, and making her save was natural to me, a given. Everything in me understood her, and resisted the inevitable connection between our souls because she was white. It was unmistakable what lay between us, and I was defenseless against what was a part of me.

But race, the issues around race were at war with my intellect, and my cultural identity. I wanted to be accepted by my own people but Black Americans shunted me aside because I was outside of their idea of what was Black. I held a deep sense of who I was in my early 20’s, and that didn’t include loving a white woman. Race introduces an element between possible relationships that stops or slows a process of growth into a higher state of being. How many marriages, friendships, businesses, churches, and youth organizations were never created because of divisive racial issues?

Pat, at some point, gave in to the pattern set up by her own culture, her family, and the times and married a white man. She invited me to her wedding along with two of my Black friends. We went to the wedding, and read the meaning of the invitation, and what her marriage really meant. We were the only color in a lily white room. During the reception Pat hid none of her elegance, or the beauty of what lived between us, or could have been. The intangible element, the promise, and power of who we could have been, and who we were together was not hidden from view. She walked over greeting us, touched me somewhere lightly with meaning and stared deep in my eyes. I couldn’t tell you a thing she said five seconds later, but all of these decades have passed, and I can tell you what she conveyed. She knew how hard it was to love across the racial lines for me. She knew I had not developed the internal fortitude to weather the inevitable storm. She was not marrying the elements within me she needed at that time. She was marrying for other reasons a white man and that was safe.

I went into mourning. Pat left a birthmark upon my sensibilities, the way I learned to love, unearthed a healer’s song, and taught me to question roles. –Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

lovers embracing each other - an art form

Fragrant damp forest
Orchids facing each other
Petals yearning

Speaking through sensate auras
Swaying, curling, turning outward, then in;
Emitting their fragranced call

Waterfall’s cooling sparks
Orchids facing each other
Wafting sighs; the breath of a flower
Petals flutter like shy eyelashes

This power within a moment
Ensconced here, in the foliage of paradise
Our beauty is eternal

Your petal’d face. Your wrap around leaf-hands.
The dirt in which you are planted
But more than these;
The strength with which you stand and face me.

These rare flowers that we are
Orchids facing each other,
Would wilt or burn, in other environs

Within this perfection of light & shade
We become a truer Eden
We lushly meet and soothe and intermingle until the end of time
