Dreams Can Come True
Rev. Dr. Sinclair Grey III
In her powerful and provocative poem, In My Dreams , author Chloe Smith deposits the words, "In my dreams I am happy, In my dreams I do not suffer, In my dreams I am not depressed, In my dreams I do not crave pain, In my dreams I do not need to bleed, In my dreams I do not cry, In my dreams I am not afraid, In my dreams I can breathe, In my dreams I am not losing it, In my dreams I do not wish for death, In my dreams I am not alone, In my dreams I am loved." With these words, one can discover hope within a hopeless situation and faith where fear is trying to take up residence.
The words of this poet helps to illuminate three Scriptures I want to leave you with. 1 "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." 2. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." And 3. "God has not given up a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind." Here's your application. When you meditate on the words of this poem along with the three Scriptures, you'll come to discover that dreams can come true. 10.3.13
