Man, that's some kinda woman!
Anowa Adjah's physical presence is either overbearing, or a disarming determination intertwined with gentleness and play. It is the shield she carries that is disarming, or revealing. It is a shield people carry, learn to carry, or are convinced there is no need to consciously have as a shield that identifies our strengths, weaknesses, gifts, and appeal. Why would a woman athlete be any different?
The obvious questions a man on the prowl would ask a woman are trite by nature. But, on the contrary, the sense of being a man of substance would listen to what a woman's shield(s) speaks to him first before he utters a word. A powerfully built woman deserves no less thought and consideration. On the other hand, it is all illusion, or it could be depending upon the survival needs of the woman of a man's desire and intentions.
These are some of the thoughts and glimpses of skill a boy untutored needs introduction to under the tutelage of an Elder, be he uncle, father or pastor. These teachings are all designed to train a boy away from the predatory spirit of the men who prey upon weakness, and shutter before strength. The differences of the teachings lay in the distinction between healer and gentleness, and hunter, and brutality. The question to a boy becoming a man is not a question, but a series of stories to unlearn from popular culture, and cultural beliefs.
