"flag & the Black woman is a study unto itself.
Melanin in women connects them to aspirations, and intangible powers from the holy places
unlike those without!"

The American flag becomes a totem, a masquerade of sorts, clothes, a symbol, a statement, or a political affront, and for many stimulated by dictatorial patriotism; a sense of duty to keep America great in the context of its origins. There is dichotomy in that story. White Americans see America they way they need to see it: without historical consequences. The Africans see the flag with conflict of emotions ranging from rage to muted submission to terror of their ancestor's terror of white people. And the people indigenous to this land are in constant dispute with white people's insistence that Columbus discovered them and God gave them our land!
The flag? It is full of it: inconsistencies.
The American flag: a contradiction unable to tell its truths without its lies.
