from Mother's Milk

Jeneen Piccuirro to the left in long skirt with four friends making themselves into small people like the Borrowers!

Jeneen Piccuirro, these special moments make and are the substance of bonding, the creation of the subtle things that need to take place within the formation of childhood long before the circles of innocence expand into adulthood.

Play.

It is always play that instructs and introduces children to the deep constructs of self, and purpose in life. Without it innocence takes a beating, and the heart struggles to keep ticking its rhythms in alignment with the 'why' of existence.

a Circle Teaching

Jane Mansfield by Ralph Crane in 1958.

Legacy is a natural occurrence, an event without end beginning somewhere beyond our individual births. How it ascends or descends is the parent's gift to child, and on a larger scale legacy moves through culture and history as a series of stories building a creative, or destructive momentum into lives. Legacy is complex as well as revelatory. The life you lead leads somewhere, came from somewhere and goes somewhere influencing, telling, objectifying, clarifying and mystifying us all.

This human experience. With its built-in rĂ©sistance to change, to evolve coveting for the beyond experience of heaven brings hope to the heart and at the same time retards the life flow from the beyond in the present where we need to be to fully understand the fluidity of life-death-resurrection. This is the problem of belief in religion. It is the living within someone else's experiences with God!

How you live the experiences with Creation in relationship to the great mysteries, the unfolding of belief into knowledge, how the Creator and you talk with each other in the silences is the Mystery. This is the Beyond in the present. This legacy is the event without beginning somewhere beyond our individual births ascending and descending from soul to soul, Earth to formlessness, from one to the other. Within us all is the capacity to hold the universe.

It is a lot to think about if you want to not feel it all. If you want to think about it Murray Gell-Mann said, "What is especially striking and remarkable is that in fundamental physics a beautiful, or elegant theory is more likely to be right than a theory that is inelegant."

TV HISTORY

Sophia Loren defied the elements and forced without effort sensuality into a sphere of  influence that whispered to the Goddess buried beneath the Vatican. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 8.3.13
During a live performance of the Oscars in 1957 Jayne Mansfield's ample breasts were exposed, caught on camera at the table Sophia Loren shared with the star. It was called the first 'wardrobe malfunction'. Deliberately, Valerie Perrine showed her breasts during the PBS show, Steambath, 4, May 1973. In May 1972 the actress posed for Playboy magazine. August 1981 Valerie Perrine was on the cover of Playboy. During a Super Bowl performance in 2004 Janet Jackson's nipple came out of her outfit. In a blink it was out, and most people missed it. But, still pictures came out showing her full breast with fancy nipple jewelry and a round nipple protruding. So many women were outraged to the point one lady (most likely white) filed claim in Federal court on behalf of millions of Americans suing for millions of dollars for the 'outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury'!

Blacks, by the millions, were enraged that the system excused the white singer, Justin Timberlake, from the scandal despite the movements of the dance. Men. I never heard a man complain about Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction, but I know there were men upset their children saw Janet Jackson's nipple and her breast. Underneath it all there is a general and shared disgust of women's nipples. It is a cultural thing not shared by every culture upon the globe. In American culture a woman's nipple and her breasts are alternately deplored, praised, or the object of envy, lust, and subject to gross alterations. There is shame embedded in statements made by famous women denouncing, or down playing the significance, and the power of their breasts making declarations that they are not defined by their breasts, or their capacity to birth, and nurture. Is that the attitude of an elitist? Yes? No? Maybe. What is that?

There is an enormous amount of money making pornographic movies for sale, and the film makers, actors, and crew in the porn business are making good incomes. The internet has shot the profitability of porn beyond anything imagined 20 years ago, and a lot of ill-equipped, and technically unsophisticated men, and women are sitting in their houses making money selling sex. A lot of women are more than willing to make a few bucks posing nude or performing some sexual act for the camera to make cash, and a name for themselves. The selling of sex extends into the crime of sex trafficking  and the number of boys, and girls and women stolen to service men in the United States, and other countries is staggering. Pimps are appealing to young men and women in every economic class, and the pimp mentality has cheapened the value of women and subjugated the importance, and sacredness of punany to crude measures, and in some cases, unspeakable degradation. In the midst of all of this whoredom runs its trails through many a church. One of the best places for a whore to pick up a whore is in the church. Alongside all of this is the current generation's women seeking fame as an end unto itself and willing to do anything to be famous, seen, and remembered. Somehow, a number of famous actresses subscribe to leaking video of themselves having sex with someone to enhance their notoriety, and further their careers.

We love our illusions. We, Americans, are elitists uncomfortable with examining our myths, and pretentious enough to be comfortable with our myths irregardless of the damage done to our lives by the spirits we uphold. ~ Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 8.3.13

This picture was taken at a time actors did not take pictures sitting in bathrooms. If bathrooms were shown on television there'd be no toilet present. This was provocative, daring, and to many immoral a stance for a woman to take. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 8.3.13

A Continuing Series

Look at how far our perceptions of women's sex appeal has traveled, or has it traveled merely from being an unspoken potency into the open air of a society quick to shed the mores of conservatism and restraint? When actress Jayne Mansfield's dress came undone at the Oscars over 50 years ago the world was scandalized seeing her full breasts, but horrified her left nipple was visible.

SEDUCTION AS A MINISTRY

One of the personalities, and famous beauties that inexplicably tantalized, and astonished American senses: Jayne Mansfield.

Jayne Mansfield
born: April 191933
died: June 29, 1967

The Original Wardrobe Malfunction

... Mansfield proved to have an uncanny knack for self-marketing, and she took steps to distinguish herself from the many curvy blonde actresses attempting to make it big in Hollywood at the time. She made pink her trademark color -- she wore pink, drove a pink car and bought a house decked out in pink that she dubbed "the pink palace." Mansfield garnered her first nationwide publicity when, attending the premiere of Underwater in Florida, her top mysteriously fell off in sight of numerous journalists.

Commercial Success

From then on, as one journalist put it, Mansfield "suffered so many on-stage strap and zipper mishaps that nudity was, for her, a professional hazard." Shortly after the Underwater incident, she landed a role in the Broadway production and film adaptation of Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter. Those performances finally established her as a star actress, and she went on to feature in such films as Kiss Them For Me (1957), The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw (1958) and It Takes a Thief (1960).
Nevertheless, many more people saw her photograph than her movies -- in just nine months, from September 1956 to May 1957, Mansfield appeared in an astonishing 2,500 newspaper photographs.

...With her beautiful blonde locks and Barbie-doll figure, Mansfield was second only to Marilyn Monroe among the blonde sex symbols of the 1950s. She was also an incredibly driven performer whose tireless performing schedule and talent for self-promotion allowed her to stand out among the many beauties who populate Hollywood to become one of the most memorable faces of an era. "I will never be satisfied," she once said, summing up her relentless approach to her life and career. "Life is one constant search for betterment for me."

BeyoncĂ© Knowles is all set to take the world by storm. The "Crazy in Love" singer kicked off her 42-city world tour with a show in Serbia Monday night in a bodysuit that had jaws dropping. The long-sleeved bedazzled outfit boasted an optical illusion that made it appear that she was topless (with "prominent" nipples). Known for donning arresting costumes in the past, BeyoncĂ©  is no stranger to wowing fans. But there are quite a few reasons why rocking a "fake physique" was particularly clever.
They didn't require FCC intervention.
Unlike Janet Jackson's unfortunate 2004 incident, Beyonce's recent Super Bowl experience remained unscathed (save for that mysterious blackout). If anyone is going to find a way to be risque without ruffling too many feathers, it's going to be her. The optical illusion may seem naughty by most standards, but for her it appears to be perfectly legal... By  April 17, 2013

Janet Jackson in formal black
Actress Amanda Blake, as Miss Kitty, tempted and seduced Matt Dillon on the 1960's Western series GUNSMOKE, the length of the series. It tantalized boys and men, at the time, stretching the limits of proper decorum during national TV watching. She was typical of the refinement the dominant culture wanted viewers to understand about the best of their white women. Although her character was a Madame running a saloon and a stable of prostitutes she held the weight of the townsmen's attention to her good looks, her authority, and her relationship with Marshall Dillon.  Despite the fact that women were a little more than objects, or chattel to men in the late 1800's Hollywood created a perception of the West that amended their horrific jaunt across the West into Indian country. Amanda Blake affirmed that myth.

The funny, or rather interesting thing is TV did not allow the end of irresistible temptations to happen. Marshall Dillon never got any punany from Miss Kitty, and many wives, in the 1960's, probably went to bed to release the tension from their husbands loins after the show went off the air at a decent hour. - Dawn Wolf 8.3.13

The first wardrobe malfunction was 'performed' by Jayne Mansfield at dinner with the epitome of elegance, grace and Italian beauty, Sophia Loren. Her nipple, her full and natural breasts rendered men silent and numb. They were full and had borne the life milk for her children by then, and many men then, and today are tantalized by the sheer power of breasts that have lived, and live a full purpose. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 8.3.13
