TO ACTIVATE, TO FREE OTHERS: a calling.

Still spinning from this past Monday (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) when I was given the Legacy of A Dream Award at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. — It was surreal to say the least. I gotta thank all of my family, friends, colleagues, mentors, and teachers who came out. You made the evening so special.
A line from my acceptance remarks, “Let us wake from our deep deep sleep so we no longer have to dream and can experience in our waking state the beloved community...”
Thank you Georgetown University and President John J. DeGioia for selecting me for this honor. Summarized from their website, “Each year, the "John Thompson Jr. Legacy of a Dream Award" is given to an inspirational emerging leader... since 2003, the award has been given to civil rights icons, children’s rights advocates and other #humanitarians."
In one of the photos you'll see me with Dikembe Mutombo who reminded me that I have a lot of growing to do!
And all the remarkable beings who I get to work with at One Common Unity — There is so much important work to do... feeling grateful and inspired. - Hawah Kasat (Jan. 26, 2019)

"The journey we are on is long and sometimes it can feel overwhelming. The question today is what will we choose to invest our time, energy and resources in?

Life is both short and long. It is long because during our time we can make a huge impact on future generations… if we spend our time wisely and are other-centered instead of self-centered, then we have the opportunity to correct the injust
ices in the world.

It is short because that time, which we have, moves by really fast and if we aren’t paying attention it will be over before we know it.

I encourage all of us, to never forget that it’s never too late for us to begin dedicating our life work to something beyond selfish interests.

The solution to the violence and division in this world may begin with being caring, kind, generous, and other-centered BUT our work cannot end there. The institutional violence which inherently breeds inequity must be addressed. Both of these paths require more than just good intentions, they require us to fundamentally change the ways we live and with unrelenting focus transform the very systems that perpetuate violence."
-Hawah Kasat (Jan, 20, 2019)

EIGHTEEN

"One has to live this life within their vision to speak this truth. From legacy to knowledge of how things work is how intelligently vision is carried by people, who hold the vision given them into their individual futures. In our mother's carrier (her womb) we lay in the waters knowing. Remembering is how we learn who we are, and how we manifest that dream becomes legacy. It is a cycle of unlearning visionaries move within..." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories [Jan. 30, 2019]

Marg Helgenberger, a lady, an actress.

This is teaching one cannot google.

The kindness from actress, Marg Helgenberger holds me spellbound! Her beauty captivates me, even her hard roles cannot make me not notice. Her voice is a sensual thread from a web of thought, loveliness, and an etheric quality that makes one not hostile to her seemingly fragile type of beauty; tough enough for scrutiny and amendable to appreciative caress.

Somehow, I admit, the paleness of her skin is attractive. This coming from a man deeply embedded with the over powering power of melanin. This admission points to the long process I undertook to learn how to see if there was beauty in white women. In my long ago, that was a first step, the second effort was to see their beauty appreciatively. Over time a skill set developed that taught the resistance to appreciating what Creator gave those without melanin to find the sacred within them, that attracts the sacred within another!

I am grateful for that because hardness and bitterness are too difficult to live with. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 1/4/18

Marg Helgenberger inexplicably is beautiful! Her date of birth: Nov. 11, 1958.

There Are Wives, and There Are Wives!

A dark mysterious woman needs to be her story.
But, it is from birth mystery starts its procedure.

Middle age wives make deeper the experiences. What they know they translate with skill directly penetrating to the soul, into the meat of their marriages. There is an honesty in the right woman made wife to a man. It keeps the store of ideas and wants and the need to please under careful understanding. If a husband is to be one of purposes outside the scheme of merely existing she must herself be capable of shifting great amounts of energies into various places, with practiced skills, into her husband! It is a priestess at work.

I am purposefully clear about these things, but many outside of maturity and unskilled beyond say, their lower chakras, have no real value beyond chatter and compliance to roles given. They would think I was vague intentionally. I am not. Depth is not the place to teach the simple. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories [July 6, 2018]

prayers run deep in every moment of vulnerability.

Abstract within Common Knowledge

It is strange the illusions we swear by believing them to be truths.
Image captured by William Ukoh,

"If one stands still to know, to hear and listen within there are stories within us to comprehend, and maybe share. Piercing our veneer opens the roads to truths we might not see right now!" - Gregory E. Woods, September 29, 2016

About the Maori from their daugher, Mereana Taki.

Last Century Colonial Travellers and new residents took photographs of our Elders as part of a supposed 'Dying Race' and heavily romanticized Noble Savage Peoples soon to be swept aside by Europeanization.

This is an Elder Kinswoman of the East Coast
Tribalz, although the non Nativez never recorded their True names or only part of their names, or a phonetic guess at the first name.

These photos defied the 'Maori Maiden' genre which perfectly reflected a propaganda of reclining Maiden, more often scantily clad on the ground 'pure and open' so to speak. Passive, vulnerable and defenceless was the preferred Heathen image especially where Nativez Women were concerned since the photos were to 'sell' our Home as a preferred tourist destination and new Home for would be Land speculators and the social milieu that this would encourage.

Our Elder is wearing Mako earrings, made of Sharks teeth they symbolize a Chiefly Woman's virtue of tenacity and determination. Her moko kauae ~ her chiselled chin markings are very simple lines depicting her lineage and her as a Tribalz Woman using Water symbols as bearer of the tides of Life.

The Two Huia feathers denote high ranking Women. Her ornately woven Korowai ~ the feather cloak was reserved to those of 'wealth and prestige' as such taonga (treasured heirlooms) took so very long to create and finish. The panel along the top of the Korowai ~ the feather Cloak symbolizes our Celestially corpus of knowledge. It often took years to complete a Korowai and one this ornate could only be acquired by those of Chiefly means.

Love the photograph because of the defiant and upright posture of the Kuia ~ Elder Kinswoman. It is very powerful for this complete composition which projects so much mana ~ Sacred Authority inwardly borne and radiantly exuding itself. ~ Mereana Taki, 2010

Maori woman - te mana a te Wahine -
the Sacred authority that is Woman.

"The depth of your traditions, and the spirituality was missed by the Euros who came to your homeland, or pissed over? How were the Maori able to keep language, custom, and religion as well as you have? Didn't the missionaries come as an advance guard?" - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

"We are as now, a Spoken people. Our Oral World and our direct relationships with Great Mother continues to keep much of ourselves intact.

We will try everything we can to keep our Mother Cultures alive and visceral, dynamic and relevant as Ancients
Wisdoms providing 'Modern' solutions. We are highly adaptable in an open system of Love and Respect. Our preference is to be inclusive, although we will lock out if needs be as a last resort.

My work today is to walk amongst my Kin and rekindle many of the threads between our Sacred and Secular Worlds. Whether amongst our Whanau Kin in our communities or in the illusion of higher education, it matters not in the end. Many non Natives react to our Wisdoms, as you might expect. They open up the Heart chakra directly and without apology as Gateway to mutual respect. We want to know how you feel. We are less interested in what you think you feel. We are Heart People, clear and direct as an exemplar of a Healthy Whole BEing. Feeling is our intelligence of preference beside intuition and the cognitive is as mode of delivery LOL hahahaha ...know our non Nativez find this a challenge to humble the Mind as delivery point only. With their Ancients and Ancestors intact, they learn to relax and inhabit themselves more fully with all the unfinishedness of BEing that can go on.

As Long as this Sacred Ground exists, we will persist also. She is Sacred Mother, Language, Culture, Womb of Existence as a totalizing system of sustainability. She teaches us every day to go gently with ourselves and we have only two learning skillz for life. (1) Deep Listening with ones whole life. Aata whakarongo, cultivating our stomach intuition and GoddSelf. (2) Whole of Life observation. Aata Tirohia, to see quantum and Spirit active. Talking is NOT REQUIRED in a mastery of Wisdom. Brevity and economy is the benchmark of the skillful Orator and Chiefly diplomat." ~ Mereana Taki

"Her hair is curly. What is the Maori relationship, if any, with African tribes?" I asked.

“Here is the connection, Mereana: in spirit. In spirit there is a connection created through the waves of devotion to our Mother Earth, the connective energies of songs from our being present in the spiritual walk within the inner chambers of being who we were meant to be. That connects people who have never seen each other, yet belong together, and will eventually come together. Here is a connection perhaps, Mereana!”

Mereana answered: "Kia ora Sacred and Chiefly Brother, yes ...this is our essence ...we are indeed pure energetics of Spirit. Perhaps this is all we ever really need/ed to understand. Here in the power of our Spirits ...we are unassailable ...unavailable ...unattainable ...wearing the robes of our immutable ...intangible ...incorruptable ...boundless ...timeless ...causeless ...infinitude ...rooted in Great Mothers own deep Spirit, we all touch her through our outer Skin and we intrinsically ...innately ...indefatigably to our bones realise ...this will be eternally so.

When Dr Bernice Johnson Reagon from Sweet Honey in the Rock visited us a few years ago, she left an immense inspirational impression on our Wairua, our Spiritual imprints. She sang to us; after her oratory, to introduce herself ...as is our custom when standing upon Land which has never felt our 'waewae tapu' sacred feet for the first time. First is to Great Mother and then, to her descendants who are Caretakers for this place we are now standing upon to enter into relationship. Bernice sang something so powerful ...it was primal sound, so deep and so sorrowful ...much as our own Kuikuia when they wail at our tangihanga our funeral ceremonies. This wailing sound is piercing and it is Oceanic in the way that Bernice brought through a very deep Drum in her Voice of Ancients and Ancestors into our Ancestor House. It is profoundly moving even recollecting it now ...the inexplicable entered and we were transported into the company of our shared elders. Bernice thanked us all for 'still being here' for ensuring our Ancestor house ...standing in the middle of an urban jungle ...not only persisted, it was also that it still a living gathering space and place where the sacred can continuously be observed and remembered.

What she said about her Ancestors lives with me still. She said; her Africa as someone taken from Africa lives in the Soles/Souls of her feet. Wherever her feet go, Africa goes with her. This is very very profound. She IS Africa wherever else she goes ...A Native American visitor said something similar; whenever She (of Nevada Paiute) misses 'home' she needs only place her hand on Great Mother anywhere on the planet and 'she is home'. There is an instant connectivity for her from where she is at the time, to where her people have always been established and ...she is Spiritually taken there in this gesture.

Yes Sacred Brother of the same Sacred Mother ...it is so."

Mereana Taki - It is always a journey within you.

"Mind enslavement holds you to a one dimensional view inside a multi-dimensional holograph of your strongest lessons. These lessons are about your own Light. You are the teacher, the subject, the student, the SEEKER OF MYSTERIES. Its you ... your human experiences are the mystery. Your Soul provides immortal consciousness. Figure out how you came to view yourself as some kind of normalised antagonistic binary of Spirit and Ego." ~ Mereana Taki (2014

Deal with Strength.

That is not true. There have been moments I have regretted being kind. I remember some of them. That kind of pain in the realization later released me from something holding me against the presence of clarity, as a place across from Power. These two, Clarity and Power, co-exist, or fly away from each other. What directs them is Will. What is needed in spiritual quests is balance, not striving towards a utopia, or fulfilling a glib statement stating, "You will never regret being kind."

Development is a spiritual quest linked with what the intellect and emotions need to live in a body aware of where one is in relationship to all Life. . . - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 12/31/17

ELDER TALK: separation

Herder in the hills of Yemen.

I read a snippet of a man's thoughts that made me think. He said, "The Star Wars/Star Trek architects borrow the outer appearances of our world's weavers, but never go to it's emotional spiritual underpinnings." It is a powerful poke into the dark of what attracts millions to explore science fiction, which as I think about it, is close to spiritual quests as many dare venture. But, it is more along the lines of intellectual explorations skirting around the edges of what indigenous peoples have interpreted from their explorations into the spiritual realms all around us this man pointed the thinkers towards.

"What is missing?" is the question he answered.

Separating from the heart is to part from the central intelligence of the human being. Somehow, Europeans made this separation a part of them in decisions made in the long ago. Only in the context of speculation one only gets intellectual discourse about spiritual problems, and little is gained. But, the story wanting to be told comes from the heart of Life.

To live with or against Nature and natural process was a choice Ancestors made. The choice made their future our present. How we live now is the story of the strength and the weaknesses of their decisions. We cannot forget we live under stars, where the past sparkles and flickers over us in our present with us projecting our thoughts and intentions into the future.

These are simple mysteries easily forgotten and easily remembered. Remembering or forgetting is dependent upon the choices the Ancestors made for us.

FOUR

The light of delicate beauty in a garden.

Toughness mixed with delicate femininity is a collaboration working for and against a woman! Much of it appeals to the wilder nature of men wanting release from politeness, but it also charges us with the dare of the challenge to what we think about our reasons women need men, and men want women. It is a duel reality requiring balance as resolution to the dichotomy. Equality is not what the two energies need. Equality is a social construct too weak to balance, so it makes demands.

Do you see how this does not work well enough to see why it does not work, and how it can work in the context of a spiritual practice? If you do, you can grow from that along a path with a sense of being connected to Creation. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 9/12/17

Masters

During our journey through life, we will have an Ascended Master or Masters working with us. As our soul evolves, these will often change, as they are there to assist us through certain initiations in the inner planes, and also to assist with higher teaching, guiding and most importantly, as mentor. There are Male and Female Ascended Masters, and therefore then they are what one calls in the inner planes the Christed Ones. This means that they have attained the highest Christed Consciousness.
Most of us work with a specific Cosmic Master Ray, which we anchor in and there are 12 of these currently on planet earth.

Each Ascended Master also works with an assigned Cosmic Master Ray, and the Macho Chohans, are the Group Leaders of the Ascended Masters, and thus hold the Chohan Title of the Higher Mastership in that particular Ray.

Sometimes we may work with more than one ray, depending on our soul, and will have different master working with us.

You normally have ONE OVERLIGHTING Ascended Master who will stay with you during the course of your Incarnation, and serves as Mentor and Guide. Some, like me, have more than one, and therefore then these will always be present during initiations in the inner planes, or anointing ceremonies.

Ascended Masters are our older Brothers and Sisters, highly Evolved Souls, and there are many of them. The Ones currently working with us, all have had incarnations on planet earth, and mastered all the lessons in this toughest soul school.

However at this time many other Ascended Masters and Beings, are here who are coming in from other galaxies and star system to assist with the massive shifts in consciousness.

Of course, then there are the Cosmic Logoi, Melchizedeck, Lenduce, and Melchior, who hold the Galactic and Universal Logos status, and thus work on galactic and cosmic scale.
