A State of BLACK AMERICA

Black women who crudely find ways to distinguish themselves online as desirable without investment in anything more than a vain idea of notoriety and a cell phone too often find themselves posing provocatively in bathrooms or messy rooms. It is a strange witness.

In the history of Black America I cannot find a time Black women and men would be comfortable with low standards of appearance, appreciation, or bearing as a ticket towards fame, or being perceived as desirable. People have always been faced with challenges and to survive and have made regrettable choices, but this era is different. There is so much wealth, and variety in the country it is baffling a regression accepted as 'keeping it real'.
