| Black women who crudely find ways to distinguish themselves online as desirable without investment in anything more than a vain idea of notoriety and a cell phone too often find themselves posing provocatively in bathrooms or messy rooms. It is a strange witness. In the history of Black America I cannot find a time Black women and men would be comfortable with low standards of appearance, appreciation, or bearing as a ticket towards fame, or being perceived as desirable. People have always been faced with challenges and to survive and have made regrettable choices, but this era is different.
