The climate of the white school Kavanaugh went to in the DC area was, and is exactly how Dr. Christine Blasey Ford described. It was and is a very loud way of life among those white kids up to and in college. Many Black and Hispanic parents, myself included, steer our children from them during celebratory events like football games, parades; anything to do with patriotism because their propensity towards violence unwinds with beer, and liquor unwinds a violence they believe has a right to out in the open.
I won't share my negative encounters, but many have similar stories in this area of encounters with white boys, and white men with the same belief systems. The way the white boys compress this is familiar to our ancestors. How we protect our grandchildren changes as the laws white men change our focus on where they might be designing life for us with violence, not that far away.
Kavanaugh can't face the women offended by his terror inspired disregard for their well being. Men and women of this persuasion can't feel the weight and the pain of this history for fear it will attach itself upon their livelihoods. It does despite emotional denial as this power they harness empowers the history of terrorism without words, but a distinctive feeling known all too well by those of us not of that group of men. - Gregory E.
