Healing the World

Coretta Scott King

...."Women, if the soul of this nation is to be saved, I believe that you must become its soul. You must speak out against the evils of our time as you see them. Those of us women who have been blessed with the privilege of bearing children have the sacred task of rearing them with a knowledge and understanding of our democratic heritage and the eternal values of love, justice, mercy and peace. As women and mothers, we have a common concern for the happiness of our children and their families, to unite our efforts throughout the world." ~Coretta Scott King

..."“People always say that I didn't give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn't true. I was not tired physically, or no more tired than I usually was at the end of a working day. I was not old, although some people have an image of me as being old then. I was forty-two. No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in.” ~ Rosa Parks

BODY OF SONGS

Yemaya in the moonlight

"We must stop saying that 'I'll never change' because when we utter those words we're limiting the power of God. In fact, God is still working on us, in us, and through us. Perhaps the reason why many people are not where they want to be in life is because they're stuck on not wanting to change. Understand this - if you don't want to change for the better, God isn't going to force a change on you." - Dr. Sinclair Grey III 9.6.13

Blade Sketch 1

"You have the power to determine what kind of day you'll have. What you tell yourself in your mind has a way of manifesting itself in your actions. In a real sense, speak positive and you'll get positive. On the other hand, speak negatively and you'll get drama.

The Psalmist declared "This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." That's my word for you. Today is your day to make wonderful things happen. Today is your day to get your blessing. And today is your day to walk by faith rejoicing that the LORD will order your steps." - Dr. Sinclair Grey III 9.7.13

COURAGE TO CHANGE CYCLES

"For a group of people who claimed that, they are highly intelligent due to their innovations, discoveries and philosophy its Ironic, the same group of people are working tirelessly in their attempt to destroy this world.. The water ways are no longer safe, the food that are being produced are laced with chemicals, which can result in severe health problems.. The quest to conquer global resources has become the policy to maintain, by any means necessary (wars, rape and disfranchisement of indigenous people).. I am optimistic that, these vampires are going to drive themselves right the cliff off extinction, in order for mother earth and her children to breath, eat and live in peaceful harmony with nature..." - Pitit Neg Ahier

SOUL SICKNESS (USA)

Sadly, Pitit Neg Ahier, you are right. My citizenship in the US is riddled with contradictions. I feel every word of your diatribe. As an African-Absaroka & Muskogee Indian man, I am bound, shaped and from Turtle Island, but our precious ancestral lands are discerned by perception, and by those who know the histories, and hear the red ancestors. All anyone else sees is the corporation, and the Federal government, and dynamic culture of American citizens.

It is a difficult place to be a Healer, and a facilitator living in the center of the Beast, but in that place healing and reconciliation begins. All spiritual work begins within before going out. All change comes from within. Outside agitation stimulates growth within the body of pain, and contradictions. The voices of the soul, at the base of one's creativity, one's drive to live recognizes the elements of Death invited by life choices. Those voices speak of rivers, the living waters.

A country is the soul of a People, and soul sickness ails Americans. The white man told his story of contempt of the world through the stories he created around the waters that broke in his woman's womb. He spoke of the rivers and saw her blood and found it void of what acquisition needed. His paradoxes kill the world as surely as his fear of and actions against the essence of the Female, the Womb, the Waters, and the Air, and the Earth, our Mother kill the woman.

Indigenous peoples, the world over, have been trampled by the fears of the white people, and now imbued with powers the healers and teachers of the conquered tribes are the conduits of healing the lives and hearts of whites, and restoring balance to the minds of our relatives, our white people. These are my words. AHO! – Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 12.21.12

Spiritual Discipline

In hard times I learned to focus on the flow of energies from everywhere. It better ables me to see and discern what comes in and what goes out of me. It is akin to navigating upon the waters. The sea, the spirit and the breath are conduits, and teachers. At some point the directional vision comes, and I can see my way out. Hard times have taught me to measure my spirit, and mature my emotions. In the end it makes it easier to accept and understand the gift(s) and the blessings sure to follow the passing storm. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 5.8.13
