Très intéressant à connaître.
Parents brought their sons and asked Tokahe to teach them, to show them what was meant to be in their lives. Tokahe told them that only the spirits could show them so he advised that each young man go up on the hill to seek a vision, but only when it was time for them to do so. Tokahe told the parents if they were given visions he would interpret them, that according to what their visions were and what the spirits wanted he would guide them in a good way. In this time many of the Ikce sent their sons to seek a vision. To many, great visions were given. To some they were from the four legged and to others the wingeds, to some just a voice was heard. There were a few who would see the spirits themselves as Sunk and Pahin did.
The sights and messages were all from the spirits and Tokahe interpreted each and every one. For a while among the Ikce Oyate their were many spirit bundles and many great holy men and since then, any youth or descendant of the Ikce, who is ambitious seeks a vision in the ways taught by Tokahe and has the holy men interpret the visions given to them. - Oceti Sakowin
