photo study of Indonesian beauty.

Featured Photographer: Dominic C

When choosing a model to work with what are things you look for?

The main criteria, of course, is the communion of thoughts: I must feel that my models and I are on the same artistic wave-length. They must understand exactly that my exploration – by image – of their femininity and sensuality aims essentially to the celebration of ultimate beauty. My muses must also be photogenic but it’s not an absolute requirement. That is why I often turn to young women who are not professional models, as long as they feel like putting forward their shapes, their charm, their deep inner soul…

I love the tones you use in your work how are you achieving that?

Well, the editing is the work of my very talented assistant, Bayu, and the tones are inspired by my very good friend’s work, Jean-Paul Nacivet (a famous stock photographer). When I exhibited my nude photos for the first time in Paris, 2 years ago, Jean-Paul suggested that I edit these photos in sepia tones, and when I printed them (in Diasec), I realized he was right: B&W and sepia tones fit nude photography much better. Such tones provide with a feeling of timelessness.

GLASS & EYE .

Glass, I was taught, is liquid. Eyes, I learned, are the moist definitions of the intangible qualities of people's souls. Both are mirrors telling the truth. Being unable to lie they can only be clear until pain blurs the vision. Hurt souls can train the eyes to create the illusion of hardness to protect a vulnerable soul by learning how to alter the appearance of gentleness into something that appears menacing. A mirror cannot. It can only be itself, but the eyes can tell multiple stories until one person comes who can read the soul, and tell the story with the clarity of a mirror.

ADULTERY

I love the taste of that hot wet Asian cunt

12.19.12

Adultery begins in the dream of time. In various places throughout our bodies of knowledge religious doctrines lay blame and guilt upon the desire to commit adultery, and the deed of adultery, but adultery is a living being seeking rest and residence within the soul of imagination and speculation and the physical body. What does adultery ask of the soul, and demand of the mind? Adultery needs something. It must the way it accompanies marriages and stalks commitment, and shadows our relationships to joy and security.

So deep and present within marriage is the attachment to commitment that death presents itself in forms of death to challenge life within the body, and the composition of relationships. Adultery is androgynous, and indifferent to outcomes. It simply needs touch. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 7.21.13
