Free Spirits. Different Feel.

Flower child in the 21st century in photo by Siegart von Schlichting. (2019)

The meaning of a flower child has changed over the decades from a dancing excitement to stoic posturing. Strange.

My Adventure.

Maitrieya Sandness said, I commanded last summer to make it to 240,000 miles in my red Chariot. I made it to 239.854. God is good and will provide. Nothing can cloud my sunny day. The rain may come, but not on my soul. 5.24.16

Seek and You Will Find Out...

Maitrieya Sandness' breathtaking beauty on July 272016.

"When you sense a faint potentiality for happiness after such dark times you must grab onto the ankles of that happiness and not let go until it drags you face-first out of the dirt. This is not selfishness, but obligation. You were given life; it is your duty (and also your entitlement as a human being) to find something beautiful within life, no matter how slight."

Elizabeth Gilbert , author, Eat Pray Love

Touch.

Maitrieya Sandess. Standing in beauty. [May 2017]

It doesn't interest me what you
do for a living. I want to know
what you ache for, and if you
dare to dream of meeting your
heart's longing.
...
I want to know if you will stand
in the center of the fire with me
and not shrink back.
I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself, and if you truly like
the company you keep in the
empty moments

"Consciousness flows only through; each and every action or feeling stems from either a blocked or open chakra. What do yours look like? I have some I am currently working on...everything you are flows from and through them. Be your own life source." ~ Maitrieya Sandess [May 20, 2017]

What I SEE in Me

“I am, as always, struck by your beauty. It is its own. It has its own voice. It means things one only notices through relationship and on the more superficial level it is a crowd pleaser. But the eye and the senses engaged by the secrets in your eyes carry perception another direction and one can see more. In the end there is your beauty defined by the life you lived, the beauty you share being honest, and the beauty you create by being Indian, and African and Puerto Rican, and a woman challenged in life to be herself. It's a beautiful thing, little sister; a beautiful thing to behold.” - Gregory E. Woods 12.1.10

Thank you so much Gregory. If these words had been written by another, I would probably just glanced at them once. But since these words were written by you, they go in my soul.
Blessed be....Bori.

A Creation story creates life...

A better way to think, be and spend this day, September 11, 2016.
Maitrieya Sandess with a homeless brother who engaged her on the street Sept. 11, 2016.
It was quite the energy exchange. It is amazing how light sparks life and life creates light!

"In my life, I cross paths with so many interesting people. He said he liked my pants, and from there it struck a conversation of learning that he is also a Virgo (bonus), has worked in retail, is writing a novel which he recited the first two chapters to me (it was really good!), and is currently homeless due to unfortunate situations. I believe that there are no mistakes. Everyone has a unique story, and as we parted I said to him "good luck"! His response was "There is no luck. You 'make it be' ". I love these little blessings that I receive. People make my life rich, and God always knows what he's doing. Happy Sunday." - Maitrieya Sandess (Sept. 11, 2016)

BEAUTY is POWER

"There is something powerful and valuable in beauty as beauty lives in the power of one's stance in the world. It is a beautiful exchange between power(s) and the type of beauty that lends itself to be powerful and present!" - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 6.19.14

Gaps between Knowledge

Maitrieya Sandness, a woman immerse in the mysterious depths of her being & the mercurial element that adds intangibles discerned by caring to know the woman, and who she is as a woman of powers. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 12.3.15

Sophistication

Sophia Loren in Rome at a Carlo Ponti tribute Dec. 12, 2011

"Sophistication is not the pretense of maturity beyond one's years. A sophisticated woman has done more. She has looked within, and become a force of her nature despite, or because of her beauty, and beyond the expectation of normalcy has inspired other women to exceed themselves, and shelve the idea of being the 'weaker vessel'. She has been diplomatic and bold enough to become and insist upon becoming a Woman moving through each phase of life to be beautiful for who is important, and impeccable for what purpose is deep within her spheres of influence. This becomes a form of divinity.

This is what my mother taught me. This is what I perceived from women around me, and what was conveyed in Hollywood when Sophia Loren, and Eartha Kitt, and their peers were making movies, and shaping ideals around the context of women's stories in men's worlds." - Gregory E. Woods 4.2.13

CERTAINTY

Maitrieya Sandness pensive wearing a headband 2

Maitrieya Sandness

“Some of our thoughts remain silent within us stirring up things behind our pursed lips. They needn't come out in a stream of conversation. The longer words sit within us the more the words take on form and act out who they are and what they mean in our lives. Actions speak louder than words. Love is an action. Silence is an action. Reflection is an action. Stillness is an action. These four actions are a Medicine Wheel teaching about becoming a person to be taken seriously.

These four live within you, Maitrieya, making and creating actions in the world within and around you.” – Gregory E. Woods
