The concept of African beauty has evolved from the highest of places centuries before when the intelligentsia centered around African cities, and the world was shaping itself into a circle of growth, and revelation as history made its way towards and through the Axial period into the terror of the European slave trade into the 1960's that ushered in a spiritual, and cultural revitalization that gave us the internet, and its attendant luxuries, and somehow lowered the expectations of the American people.
Central to every society, and ours is no different, are the women, and as the wars rage across the globe the old ways of viewing women are not only being challenged by women but by men who can 'see' themselves in truth related to the dance of Life. I am actually writing this on the 11th of December 2009 knowing how little will change in the thinking, and non-thinking paradigm that does not, and cannot hear the voices of mothers, and daughters. Any nation in combat fighting another nation whose women pregnant with child or not are willing to strap bombs to their bodies to kill their enemies on their land will never win the war.
