Orgasm, ANK, and Life

When it comes to Tantra and the concept of using sexual energy and love-making as a path to God or the Divine, there has long been conflicting opinions as to the role of orgasms in achieving these higher states of consciousness. Many insist that the man can only attain union with the Divine if he abstains from orgasms and retains his seed. Then there are those who believe that even orgasm in women leads to changes in bio-chemistry that can cause disconnection later on. Apparently the Egyptians believed otherwise, see article below. I think that they were right in many ways; in my experience it does not matter as much whether to orgasm or not, but what we do with the energy that gets awakened before, during and after orgasm, whether we allow it to dissipate leaving us empty or whether we know how to guide it in ways that will feed our spirit. This is true not just for orgasm but for any state of sexual arousal. That is why I always suggest that people focus on the making of love rather than having sex. If love is the focus and intent then you don’t need any special technique and you really don’t need to know about chakras or anything esoteric. Let the beauty and pleasure of sexual energy ignite and open your love channel, that of personal love for your partner, but also that of Divine Love and you will be on the right path.

The Ankh and the Orgasm~ (taken from Drunvalo writings)

It was believed in ancient Egypt that the orgasm was the key to eternal life, and that it was intimately connected with the chakra system. A chakra is an energy vortex connected to the entire human energy field, and the Universal Heart Chakra is the fifth of thirteen chakras. (There is also a system of eight chakras; in that system, the heart chakra is number four.) The Egyptian system held that the orgasm was intimately connected to this fifth, or Universal Heart Chakra.

First, we will explain the connection to eternal life.

Most people in the world are ignorant about what happens to their sexual energy after they have an orgasm. Usually, the energy moves up the spine and out the top of the head directly into the eighth or thirteenth chakra (same chakra, different system). In a few rare cases, the sexual energy is released down the spine into the hidden centre below the feet, the point opposite the one above the head. In either case, the sexual energy — the concentrated life-force energy called prana in Hinduism — is dissipated and lost. It is similar to discharging a battery into a ground wire. It is no longer in the battery and so it is gone forever. This is what all the world’s Tantric systems that I am aware of believe, that orgasm brings one a little closer to death because a person loses his or her life-force energy in the orgasm and is made weaker. But the Egyptians found long ago that it does not have to be this way.

It is for this reason that the Hindu and Tibetan Tantra systems ask the male to avoid ejaculating. Instead, they speak of these tiny invisible tubes where, when a student learns to control the orgasm and the flow of their sexual energy, the sperm migrates up to the higher centres.

Both of these systems, and also the Chinese Taoist system, are all primarily concerned with the sexual energy flow, sometimes referred to as “sexual currents.” They are primarily concerned with what happens as the sexual energy is moved before the orgasm, but they all have entirely different views of this energy compared to the Egyptians.

The Egyptians believed that orgasm is healthy and necessary, including the release of sperm in males, but that the sexual energy currents must be controlled in a deeply esoteric procedure that is unlike any other system. They believed that if this energy is controlled, the human orgasm becomes a source of infinite pranic energy that is not lost. They believe that the entire Mer-Ka-Ba or lightbody (the field of energy surrounding and interpenetrating the body) benefits from this sexual release. They even believe that under the right conditions the orgasm will directly lead to eternal life, and that the ankh is the key.

Philosophy, Sex to Unity

powers between legs of a dark skinned woman - Marlene

mystery just can't express...
You know Ayn Rand? She was a philosopher in class of Aristotle, and she wrote in her book on philosophy that sex is philosophic and only sex is philosophic. The world is not aware about philosophy. I meant to say that it is not the world, but homely couples of the world are not aware of philosophy. On Facebook, I have taken philosophy as my mission to reach it to homely couples; lover or husband and wife.

Just, keep this in mind: Philosophy is a Greek word derived from the root word 'Phallus' and what is referred by the root word 'Phallus? ...Use dictionary, you will get meaning.... Yet, I am writing here the phallus refers to the erected sex organ. So the word philosophy refers to the sex organ in erection. Now come to the word Tantra. It refers to the same object. 'Tan' refers to the body; the sex organ: 'Linga.' What is different? Just the sound of the word chosen, but the meaning, the object is the same. If you use the word Philosophy or Tantra the meaning is Erotic.

"Yes?"

Ayn Rand refers in her book that Sex is philosophic and only sex is philosophic, but how many Western people have grasped it? How many Indian people have grasped that Tantra meant Philosophy!!!

Take this as a first lesson from me: sex is philosophic!  -  Philosophy-The Beauty.

Tantra is not about sex; sex between Men and Women,
but Tantra is about Unity of Men and Women in Sex.

Are you noticing the difference? Sex is between and,
Tantra is not between, but about UNITY IN SEX..

Philosophically Sex is Unity.
Spiritually Sex is erotic for Beauty !

For animal Tantra is impossible,
for human Tantra is Nature...

So, philosophy would say. "Live up to your NATURE!"

Vacuity

The average person uses their relationship or longs for a lover or partner to avoid feelings or fill up the holes and empty places. In the old paradigm of sexual partnership, one would leave when the shadow of their partner began to arise. We would either escape, avoid, deny or quite simply go emotionally numb. This avoidance of feeling has a detrimental effect and actually blocks and stagnates our life energy, dimming down our innate effervescent joy for life. In a sacred tantric relationship, we welcome these emotions in ourselves and in our partner and we learn to hold the space for each other to feel and to heal the wounds of love.

SACRED WHORE SERIES: spirituality

Fushia

Jungian psychologist Nancy Qualls-Corbett describes the Holy Whore as "a woman, who, through ritual or psychological development, has come to know the spiritual side of her sexuality, her true Eroticism, and lives this out according to her individual circumstances." By this definition, a Sacred Prostitute uses sex as a means to God/dess and to enlightenment. Fundamentalist Christians believe that the door to the kingdom of heaven is opened to those re-born of fire and water. Occult traditions such as Tantra, and magickal orders which esteem the Holy Whore, persuade us to experience our divinity by immersing ourselves in the fires of sexual passion and the baptismal waters of sexual ritual. Sexuality becomes sacred when the Goddess residing in every women is honored. - Santee Featherman

TANTRIC SPIRITUALITY

"If you are too much technique-oriented you will miss the mystery of Tantra. That is pseudo Tantra that is based on techniques because if techniques are there, ego will be there, controlling. Then you will be DOING it, and doing is the problem, doing brings the doer. Tantra has to be a non-doing; it cannot be technical.

You can learn techniques. You can learn certain breathing so that the coitus can become longer. If you breathe very very slowly, if you breathe without any hurry, then the coitus will become longer. But you are controlling. It will not be wild and it will not be innocent, and it will not be meditation either. It will be MIND. How can it be meditation? The mind will be controlling there. You cannot even breathe fast, you have to keep your breathing slow. If the breathing is slow then ejaculation will take a longer time, because for ejaculation to happen the breathing has to be fast and chaotic. Now, this is technique but not Tantra.

Real Tantra is not technique but love. Is not technique, but prayer. Is not head-oriented but a relaxation into the heart. Please remember it. Many books have been written on Tantra. They all talk about technique. But the real Tantra has nothing to do with technique. The real Tantra cannot be written about. The real Tantra has to be imbibed. How to imbibe real Tantra? You will have to transform your whole approach." – author, Tantric Spirituality
