Joyce Dewitt's pretty legs drew me to the show she starred in with John Ritter. The show, Three's Company, was initially greeted by many (myself included) with skepticism because Ritter's character was living with two women. Taking the moral high ground there was national outrage despite the receding tides of controversy, and challenge to social norms the 1960's brought to the forefront of national consciousness to see, debate and reconcile in the 1970's.
Eventually, the show grew in acceptance because even though he wanted to, and would if given the chance, the male character never slept with his room mates, but paraded and clowned through many a thought provoking topic, or scenario. It was a wonderful show, but yet and still Joyce DeWitt kept a lot of us men watching the show to see her in shorts, or dresses. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 10.13.13 |
