Connie Nielsen born July 3rd 1965 is the strong Danish actress who starred in the movie, Gladiator. She gave a profound interpretation of the dilemma of consciousness, the plight of Roman women in high stakes games of intrigue, power and love at the time Rome was the dominant Western power, unbeknownst to the rest of the world! Her portrayal remained a fixture in my interpretation of her complex role as the daughter of a Caesar and brother to a man, who killed his own father for the throne...

the impact of character.
