Relationship Advice 101
By Dr. Sinclair N. Grey III
It's never wise to air out your relationship issues to a whole lot of people. Let me take it a step further. If you find yourself having problems within any personal relationship, keep it off of social media. That's right; Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Instagram should not be the place for you to act up and act out. Mature people handle issues in a mature manner while foolish people look for ways to act foolish. Another reason why relationship issues need to stay off social media is because you never know who is watching you and reading your stuff. A future employer. A future client. As I tell people quite often, don't jeopardize your chances of blowing up by doing something stupid on social media.
When you find yourself in a disagreement with someone, the Bible says, "Lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Please don't miss this. You set the example by not acting up. You set the example by displaying love. Check this out - you can't control the actions of other people, but you have full control over how you react and respond. (9.5.14)
