It hurts knowing how deeply the caste system of India is woven into Indians who are two, three generations as American citizens who believe in this system, adapt it into their daily lives, and live amongst all the ethnic groups calling the United States home. In two popular movies I've seen featuring Indian themes and actors the writers were blunt about the culturally held conviction that marrying amongst their own is best. That's cool. I can get along with that. But, the saying goes further denouncing marriages, or sexual unions with whites, but those unions are cast as passable; something one can learn to live with, but never with a Black! That hurts in the light and shadows of the complex histories of Indians (with the dot, not the feathers), and Black African nations over thousands of years!
