German Women.

There is something within German women that is elusive, and not within the makeup of American women I have enjoyed over the decades. Can't connect with why, and have had the conversation here and there with German women. It is always fun, but there is a perspective... - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 2/28/19

Insight from a Liar.

Today, during the Congressional hearings centered around Michael Cohen he answered Rep. Jim Cooper's question with these words: "... and I can only warn people. The more people that follow Mr. Trump, as I did blindly, are going to suffer the same consequences that I am suffering!"

Mr. Cooper asked: "What warning would you give young people, who are tempted as you were. Would you encourage them not to wait ten years to see the light? What advise would you give young people, in particular young lawyers, so they do not abuse their bar license, as you did?"

Cohen spoke from deep within for this answer.

"Look at what's happening to me. I had a wonderful life. I have a beautiful wife. I have two amazing children. I achieved financial success by the age of 39. I didn't go to work with Mr. Trump because I had to. I went to work for him because I wanted to, and I've lost it all. So, if I'm not a picture perfect..." He glanced to his left pointing to something out of camera range which I assume was a derogatory statement in large black print about him hanging on the wall behind the panel before him, and continued:

"That's the picture that should be up there. If I am not a picture perfect example of what not to do that's the example I'm trying to set for my children. You make mistakes in life, and I've owned them, and I've taken responsibility for them, and I am paying a huge price, as is my family. So, if that in and of itself isn't enough to dissuade somebody from acting in the callous manner that I did. I'm not sure that person has any chance very much like I am in right now." - Gregory E. TIME in Quality.

Eva Gaëlle Green is a French actress and model. The daughter of actress Marlène Jobert, she started her career in theatre before making her film debut in Bernardo Bertolucci’s "The Dreamers".

I can only speculate from watching, and studying her eyes and the feel of her movements on camera. The young woman was born Eva Gaëlle Green on 5 July 1980 in Paris, France. Eva Green is a frighteningly beautiful woman! It seems timeless and effortless the way this gift establishes her roles.  She is a woman, who has made a deep impression on American audiences in the roles she has played. . . - Gregory E. Timelessness is a quality in life we feel, and reflect upon because we recognize its essential element. It was reflected in core elements of Raquel Welch's life force that made her inaccessible, and at the same time gave timelessness to her draw on the imagination. - Gregory E. Walking Story

Bethenny Frankel on the set of Extra, in Hollywood!
Damn, she is fine and contradictory in nature and manner!!!

Bethenny Frankel's walk is more of power in a man's world, and less a woman respectful of the blending her essence is capable of deepening a union between her and a man... Millions of American women give into this paradigm believing in its advantages, while questioning why they don't have basic things: a husband, a peaceful balance within, and answers that begin with why they have a place in Creation to restore balance!... - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 9/23/18

LIE to self before TRUTH to self.

Selfie, as a signature of the times...

"A woman cannot see herself taking her own picture. The camera was invented with the idea to capture the worlds outside of who we are, and to see what is around us reflecting who we are alive in the time appointed us. There is a deep sense of life not conveyed by self-absorption, or respected by the loss of discovery. Youth was made for discovery. Without it bitter things occur later in life..." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 10/23/18

“The Taoist principles of Chinese medicine view the pregnant woman as the spiritual, mental, and physical vessel of the child. 🕯 Through the primordial dance of the vital essence of two separate beings coming together with a mutual soul contract, a woman’s womb becomes a sacred repository, which receives these essences and alchemically transforms them into one, which grow to fruition within her. 💗 According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the intrinsic role of the pregnant woman is to nourish and protect the growing being within her, who has come from spirit to be made of flesh and bone." ~ Sacred  Motherhood Blueprint October 15, 2018

[The] Glory Hole, as Cocoa Pink seems to interpret isn't a bad thing. Any man can stick his hard-n through a hole in bathroom stall, and she will (shall we say) pleasure him. Where does that leave her Being? Does her soul vanish? Does she become invisible in this world, this perception, and when she does where does she go within? Where does dignity and her sacredness hide? ~ Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 10/23/18

FULL of LIFE!

Pregnant woman by Roland Dawson
February 2019.

One cannot suspend time, but it feels like it is occurring in the presence of the woman holding the child she will birth into her family! Its mystery isn't expressed as holy in today's vernacular. I am blessed seeing this tribute, Roland. It stands out against the crudeness found more common in the current vernacular. Your work draws on so much that is not called upon to be a part of becoming better a man!

Keep telling these profound stories, challenging structures and beliefs, and praising the depths of the Black woman's essence.

Birthday of Rihanna!

Rihanna at the launch of Fenty Beauty in NYC September 7, 2017.

Rihanna, born Feb. 20, 1988, was financially worth $245 million as of 2017!

That is quite a disturbing sentence if one delves into symbols, and has become a student of how public perception works for famous artists. Often, the first assessment of a person is how much money one made in a year, in a lifetime. Granted, she is an accomplished entertainer, and enjoys her craft, but the public allows itself to be absorbed in her life, as a wealthy woman. On the surface, nothing is wrong with admiration. The problem is a solution.

From the Deep Place

Muhammad Ali and his younger brother Rahman Ali, with their grandmother provokes the thought of the loss in American life: the proper respect for the old, the wise old people, and the prospect of dying. It is embedded within Life to live, to die, and to profit from the benefits of Life, as a man, as a woman. What is wrong in the ideology of American life is the inherited disrespect for Life Europe peed into the souls of the Africans, and the First Nation's peoples! Undoing this is Sacred Work, and terrifying because it goes against what replaced who we are and were meant to become before 'they' came to kill, and take! - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 2/20/19

"Millennials say boobs aren't in anymore but I still like playing with em'."

Millennials don't know the difference between sheep boo boo and apple butter. They are too underdeveloped to be considered adults. They have a longer way than previous generations to grow and mature. Given the way they were abandoned in their upbringing what are their opinions worth? is a logical question to ask... - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 9/30/18

Cindy Crawford, a study of a woman.

Cindy Crawford. She was a young woman when she entered the public collective of memorable white American beauties. She singularly changed the standards of beauty, as all accepted standards are in white estimation, into something relaxing the rigidity of the standard historically held over other races. That is a lot to say, even harder is to have spent time understanding the racial ideologies in place in the West, the play of sexual dynamics in politics, white conquests, and Europe's dominance over every sphere of existence. As a man, a father, it was my responsibility to learn these subjects from the unique perspective of an American Indian and an American African!

For a little woman, Cindy Crawford was on multiple magazine covers, and being studied introspectively by many thinking people in African American communities. She may or may not have known about it then, but surely as she lived longer it became evident. I am not privy to her views on race, and race and beauty. If she has shared any views, young women need to get their heads out of their clouds and ponder what she may have said, and did not share.

My perspective is mine, but I am fully aware of how far Americans praise and worship youth, as if it staves off aging, and dying. But, since my own youth the fallacy of this tendency has always been evident. Unlike millions of American youth, I sought, listened to and studied what the aged and wise had seen, and learned, and wished to pass down into the next generations.

Without historical reference readily available to them many readers stop here. The curious, who are seeking the truth, raise questions that hopefully will lead towards truth, and deeper understanding about the circular nature of truths governing daily life, and public policies. It is work.

Loss of Self, Loss of Father, Loss of Soul.

I don't understand the last part of the sentence: "... paid for with the currency of the heart." Perhaps because I keep thinking about my father's last months with this condition of the soul!

I was watching Daddy's soul during this dreadful period as he died with Alzheimer's, and it haunts me to this day what I saw, and with what I perceived and learned. One thing was clear eventually: Daddy's soul suffered. There was a vacuity none of us want to fully embrace because it is a terror with no thought process. It has its own scent, its own movement and time; it suspends over an uncertain substance. . .

Maybe I do understand your claim: Alzheimer's' is a disease of the brain that is paid for with the currency of the heart." ~ Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories (first born of Herbert and Constance B. Woods) 8/29/18

TO ACTIVATE, TO FREE OTHERS: a calling.

Still spinning from this past Monday (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) when I was given the Legacy of A Dream Award at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. — It was surreal to say the least. I gotta thank all of my family, friends, colleagues, mentors, and teachers who came out. You made the evening so special.
A line from my acceptance remarks, “Let us wake from our deep deep sleep so we no longer have to dream and can experience in our waking state the beloved community...”
Thank you Georgetown University and President John J. DeGioia for selecting me for this honor. Summarized from their website, “Each year, the "John Thompson Jr. Legacy of a Dream Award" is given to an inspirational emerging leader... since 2003, the award has been given to civil rights icons, children’s rights advocates and other #humanitarians."
In one of the photos you'll see me with Dikembe Mutombo who reminded me that I have a lot of growing to do!
And all the remarkable beings who I get to work with at One Common Unity — There is so much important work to do... feeling grateful and inspired. - Hawah Kasat (Jan. 26, 2019)

"The journey we are on is long and sometimes it can feel overwhelming. The question today is what will we choose to invest our time, energy and resources in?

Life is both short and long. It is long because during our time we can make a huge impact on future generations… if we spend our time wisely and are other-centered instead of self-centered, then we have the opportunity to correct the injust
ices in the world.

It is short because that time, which we have, moves by really fast and if we aren’t paying attention it will be over before we know it.

I encourage all of us, to never forget that it’s never too late for us to begin dedicating our life work to something beyond selfish interests.

The solution to the violence and division in this world may begin with being caring, kind, generous, and other-centered BUT our work cannot end there. The institutional violence which inherently breeds inequity must be addressed. Both of these paths require more than just good intentions, they require us to fundamentally change the ways we live and with unrelenting focus transform the very systems that perpetuate violence."
-Hawah Kasat (Jan, 20, 2019)

EIGHTEEN

"One has to live this life within their vision to speak this truth. From legacy to knowledge of how things work is how intelligently vision is carried by people, who hold the vision given them into their individual futures. In our mother's carrier (her womb) we lay in the waters knowing. Remembering is how we learn who we are, and how we manifest that dream becomes legacy. It is a cycle of unlearning visionaries move within..." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories [Jan. 30, 2019]
