Her Work.

Urth Eagle

enveloped in the marrow of bellicose hope,
I gnash fiercely at my apprehension,
ravaging out at my raging fear,
for neither has power to overtake Love's remaining here,
-Her sufficiently nurturing & comforting potential,...
-Her magnitude....

nor, bold enough to overcome Her battles of radiance,
as She's superseding the darkness that dwells withIn me,
giving my fragmented, though treasured heart home,
dressed up, manicured keloids,
surrounded by crimson brick-fenced ribs,
I buried her here...
again...
in the shadows of dried tears & suppressed desires...
yet, steel beam glimmers of Her brilliance,
permeate through the bantam spaces, I never wanted revealed,
stretching cracks wide open, exposing my mended, fractured soul,
sealed; Yet, Her lustrous hope peers through, into my marrow,
into the pits of my lost faith....in..something,
even though, never 'truly' Love....
into the pits of my dreams, where trust 'isn't' broken...

even while thinking to choose to hate Love,
She surpasses all assaults, any attacks,
all attempted havoc upon Her BeIng,
taking many beatings, knowing Her endurance is never-ending,
while I'm seeking Her demise,
She's on an internal, eternal journey,
building stronger,
revealing adulation for Love,
showing me that the truly achieved is worth all the the tears I've bleed,
the hell my body & soul placed at stake, to embalm Her deep to rest,
...for dead.
'She's always known,
'This' darkness is where Her deepest roots are lain
to sprout new & resurrect what sleeps withIn
Love

La Force

Lanita Lola Lewis in prayer

Top of The Hill

If you don't see it
it does not mean
it's not there

maybe it's
something
out of the box

around the corner
out there
beyond what is

open your eyes
mind  heart  soul
let wisdom flow

it
begs
to be

you must come
to the top
of the hill

the view
is different
here

So - please
don't shackle me
 and tell me

I
am
free ...

My Poetic Journey
Shanelle Gayden wrote...

Who is Serenity....

Serenity was broken, hurt, alone, confused, questioning what was, and had absolutely no clue....

I had the opportunity to talk to Serenity one day and she told me just a portion of her story that led me to believe in the power of Serenity! Serenity is ME.

What She Sees She Feels

Break sometimes broken
The sounds of a branch coming down out of a beautiful oak tree
The words that may be spoken
A river flowing along a green bank with rocks adorned
Comes to a fork to split
Thoughts of love basking in the sun forlorn
Hearts ripped apart and torn
Life coming into this world....born
Eyes open to look upon the sea
Sun setting cresting over the willow trees
Breaking silence in a crowed room
Feelings emotions not to look back
Walking along with nature....thinking...trying... staying on track
Holding hands for miles....separated by death letting go
Memories to hold on to......just flow
A first kiss to remember held close in time
Life can be broken.....Love heals...its certainly sublime
Its all in our life.......Time

The Wendy Williams Show
This, to my incredulous disbelief, is Wendy Williams that New York talk show host! Damn! I guess I have to take back some of the things I said about her. Good God from Zion! January 5, 2014
One of Wendy Williams' fans ( QueenBee Corren )answered a question saying of the hostess, "Yes... she said she got that tattoo after her C-section and tummy tuck operations, as to cover up her scares ... Wendy hides nothing about her life. If you watched her show y'all would've known that... True Wendy fans knows that Wendy would never post a fake pic claiming to be her. This is Wendy! The gossip queen, queen of hot topics.... can't wait to tune in tomorrow. "How you doin"?"

Black Women in BLACK

Like Black Women Love
Wait.
I'm gonna love you
like black women love their children.
Gonna dig way down,
call upon the history
my fore-sisters built,
fill you up with wonderful,
nurse your self esteem
in the arch of my back.
When you are low,
I'll refresh your spirit
with tales drawn from the well
of my momma's childhood memories.

Wait.
I'm gonna love you like black women
love their men. Thick-lipped words
of encouragement will breathe icy cold
on heated epitaphs of venom-laced hatred.
My over-stuffed hips cache a reservoir
of strength. Like grandma's
hands I'll knead your worn-out pride
with kindred understanding.
I'm gonna love you like the whores
of masters loved the light of day.
Wait.
I'm gonna love you
like black women love themselves:
without reservation; strong.

ORANGE

Black Spoken Word Artiste Yvonne Akeba in orange

Yvonne Akeba, orange is your color, but why? Why is often left out of the observations, and the compliments you receive. Orange is your color for several reasons; chief of which is the ability of the Black of your skin to arise and say its poetry to the accompaniment of the song, the sound of your smile dancing to the essence of your being. Orange against the Black of your skin says you have the firm grasp within you on what is important. You are present in the Earth, our Mother, and what that means is expressed in the relationship to colors African women possess. Each color says something different from the others. Colors come from different places, and have different experiences to share, and reasons to compliment who you are with other colors known to the world.

The color orange is wholesomeness. It is the bold nature of being dark skinned and beautiful of face, and form. For you orange compliments the birth processes you went through to get from there to here enabling you to be present with the Creator when you are touching the core entity of Feminine Energies with words.

Yes, orange becomes you because it says, “You are magnificent.” – Gregory E. Woods Oct. 28, 2012

LIGHT OF DAWN

Catalina Kruberg lives in Sweden

I began to see the energy emanating from the individual with worlds within worlds in all the people I met. Then I realized that every living thing is the whole universe, only ever wears a different costume. Come a day when you will realize that all the wonderful universe lives within you and then you will be a Wizard. As Magician not live in the world, the world lives within you. Greeting the Dawn:) © Catalina Kruberg

"Every fish that swims silent,
Every bird that flies freely,
Every doe that steps softly,
Every crisp leaf that falls,
All the flowers that grow,
On this colorful tapestry,
Somehow they know,
That if man is allowed,
To destroy all we need,
He will soon have to pay
With his life
For his greed."

Maya Angelou honors mom, grandmother in new book

AP: You went through a lot as a young, single mother. What role did your mother play during those years?

Maya Angelou: At one point, Guy was about 3, maybe 4, and I had told him never to go into my purse. Every penny had to be accounted for as far as I was concerned. And I found one day he was chewing gum, so I asked him where did you get the gum. He said out of your purse. So I said you went into my purse? ‘Yes, I wanted the gum.’
So I got a switch from a tree outside, and I pulled his pants down and I spanked him with the switch. And he just looked at me and said, ‘But don’t you love me anymore? Ain’t this your baby?’ And of course it just broke my heart. I said, ‘Well I hope you’ll never do that again.’ He said, ‘And I hope you won’t, either.’
I said, ‘You had lip and I’ve just given you a seeing-to and you still have lip?’ And he said, ‘I mean, do you realize how big you are. I’m only 4 years old or something.’ My mother, who was in the house, heard all of this and she asked, ‘So what will you do?’ I said, ‘Well I’ll never hit him again.’ She said, ‘That’s smart.’

GAZE WITH WONDER!!

DEBRA GIBSON
POETESS, COMPOSER, SINGER & LIGHT WORKER

"Cast your eyes not upon the vastness of the ocean or the luminosity of the night sky unless you also gaze with wonder at the limitless capacity of the love in your own heart and the potential clarity and brightness of your own mind." ~ Debra Gibson

BE FREE (My wish for YOU)

Would you give everything, like me, to find
Peaceful stillness of a silent mind?
Not just a glimpse, a fleeting moment
But for all lifetimes
To abide in truth and peace
Every moment to be free
Never again to be confined
Or bound up in the prison of an angered mind?

I have sat at the feet of enlightened ones
And I’ve seen how they’ve overcome
All obstacles and delusions
Transformed the confusions
That seem to encapsulate me
And how I long to be free
How I want us all to be free!

There’s no peace to be found in a life
Tormented by your own mind
For, how you think is what you’ll be
And I know there’s a possibility
Not just for you but also for me
The truth is within us all
Love and peace preside
Inside everyone’s heart and mind
We just need to remove the dirt
Let it settle and find clarity
And then peace will naturally
Unfold within us all
Like a flower to a bee
Just open our heart and mind
Feel the connections between all  that we find
And there lies peace, how to “be”
It’s in every speck of dust underneath our feet
In the wind blowing through the trees
And every blade of grass underneath those trees
Are like you and me, longing to reach and be free

Reach out to be free
The connection between you and me
Is far greater than the sum of our parts
That are dividing the very heart
Of this Earth
Of our being
Our seeing
Believing in the common truth
When you feel love you have the proof
That we can all be free
Of the confines of our mind that determine reality
Because it’s all just an illusion
That we perpetuate with our delusions
With wisdom and clarity
We can see it all more clearly
We can free our minds
And open our hearts
Now is the time to make the start
To walk this path hand in hand
Together may we understand
That we are all here as one
A united family of love
Longing to reach out beyond them and you and me
Let us all reach out toward love and peace
All reach out and be free
Be free! Be free! Be free!

DEVOTION

December 25, 2011

"God has made many doors opening into truth which He opens to all who knock upon them with hands of faith." - Kahlil Gibran, poet, author of The Prophet

MADNESS

"Madness is the first step towards unselfishness. Be mad and tell us what is behind the veil of "sanity." The purpose of life is to bring us closer to those secrets, and madness is the only means." - Kahlil Gibran
