A selfish definition, a sudden light meaning...

Light within ...

"Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live. And unselfishness is letting other people's lives alone, not interfering with them. Selfishness always aims at creating around it an absolute uniformity of type. Unselfishness recognizes infinite variety of type as a delightful thing, accepts it, acquiesces in it, enjoys it."

- Oscar Wilde, The Soul of Man and Prison Writings

AS Luck Would Have IT.

"Luck? I don't know anything about luck. I've
never banked on it, and I'm afraid of people
who do. Luck to me is something else: hard
work -- and realizing what is opportunity and
what isn't." -Lucille Ball, actress, comedienne

HEALING IN THE DARKNESS???

Native American dancer by Raymond Haddad

"There will be no place to heal while the killing continues." – Scott Royder

Kill the wolves in idaho

The deep fears of our European relatives have run amok long years, and understanding them is still a great and compelling mysterious force in the world. How does the ice melt from the heart and mind? How can any assist in our own healings? There are a great many questions to connect us to each other's grief and expressions of pain. Perhaps it is a sense of isolation our white relatives feel? In this century our closeness with and to each other should have revealed the answers to the questions posed.

Perhaps it is as Scott Royder said, “There will be no place to heal while the killing continues."

Perhaps not. Even killing grounds can be made into sacred space. But, Sacred space is not part of the modern agenda as many of the things we need to become whole people are not in place... - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 4.26.13

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

"The real troubles of this world. Lie within each and every one of us. When we realize that, and work on gaining some self-control. The rest will fall into place. Blessings to All, and may you find Peace." Eddie C Kunze

ALPHA & OMEGA

"The universe begins and ends with each of us and it is based entirely upon our own perceptions. If the universe seems to be crowding in on you with negative things adjust your thinking and use the negative to bring about some positive result.. Negative things must exist to bring balance to our perception of the universe but we do not need for the negative things to bring us down and make us miserable..." - James Moss

"Pushing up against the glass ceiling is a luxury." Brown said in her opening speech on Thursday (April 4). "Try being a woman in Congo or Pakistan or Somalia... Our mission is not just to 'lean in' but to lean on corporations, prosecutors, pimps... brothers who murder their sisters, clerics who turn a blind eye, entire governments..." and all who try to shut down women's empowerment around the world. By

LOVING, the mystery of...

"It is in the face the story is told of who you are, and who you aren't. It is an old, an ancient way of telling stories to people you know, love, don't know, hate, like, need and don't need. Your people's history, its contradictions and its deep relationships with higher realms of Being is the beauty of and within your face. In your face are the complex stories of needs, and feelings wanting and waiting to be accepted, and validated, and there is the ever present poem; the songs unheralded by lovers, and the perpetual motion of newness. It is in you the mystery of being beautiful and unheard; seen, and accepted as being beautiful and easy to the eyes. The story, your story, is as beautiful in your face as it is in the memory I will hold of this moment.

- Gregory E. Woods (told august 2, 2012)
