Cross Purposes

Cross worn by a vixen in front of his car!

It is interesting how a Cross worn by a woman, in this instance a vixen, determines something innate within not the nervous system, but the vibrancy of truth bared by the witness of the soul! It is a vast mechanism communication. Symbols speak to the 'unvoice'. What that is, is mixed by the thought process swirling around desire, want and taste.

It is hard to put to words what temptation does to reason. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 3/13/18

FIGHT OF OUR GENERATIONS!

Yvonne DeCarlo, aka Lily Munster from The Munsters.

What Colored or white boy didn't have a thing for Lily Munster on the old show, The Adams Family in the 1960's? She was fine, sexy in a way outside of what a boy would understand but would feel and translate as something else in his fantasy. But, outside of those shared moments when TV shows were on back in those days the way we watched television as a collective at the same time on the same channels the race wars, and the blood sports of whites on Colored peoples raged on. Whites trying to justify themselves was a shameful display of emotions to make up for the justifications of racial superiority whites said to themselves and each other. Whites didn't see it that way, nor could they ever grasp how absurd they looked and sounded. They just saw and relished the terror they inspired and instilled.

It is true to this day, but outside of that whites like to believe they are distant from their recent past which has not rectified itself, or overcome any obstacle they created to make their way to bring peace to fellow citizen's, or thought of how to see the absurdity of their claims of supremacy, of right, of freedom. In their reluctance they place their trust in what cannot work because anything or anybody that works against the common good cannot create trust, build communities, or fortify what or who needs the fort. So, what did white folks do in their logic? They put Trump in office who is their mirror they cannot use properly to see themselves.

1964- The owner of the Monson Motel pours acid in the swimming pool to force the black children out who attempted to integrate the pool. This is the same hotel that denied entry to Martin Luther King Jr that same year. It became an important location in the St. Augustine Movement, which is a major part of the Civil Rights movement in the 60’s.

2016 - Presidential hopeful Donald Trump gives white Americans hope in their dream to the exclusion of those they despise. What he does is pour illusion upon the truths, and drove the thinking class away from the real dynamic that could expand upon the good work of President Obama, and past presidents, and capitalize upon the brilliance of President Obama's principals, and the genius of the work he did manage to get done that was genius.

Unable to see far all stock was placed in undermining the country to undermine a Black president to be able to say, "I told you so. Nothing he did worked." Where truth fits in is of no consequence. Facts have no place or voice in a thinking process supported by the "scientific evidence" of white's superiority over others. In other words, Donald Trump is going to make American Great again! This leaves the many in society to think, "OK. What do I do, and how do I participate?" In Black America and Indian country we know better than that to entertain that misconception. We know what making American great means. We have the truth of it. We all have ancestors killed to make American great!

First of all, thinking is not the bane of civilization. It is the crust of the pie. Many American citizens need to separate their lives from spectating and get involved in what matters as aggressive participants. I know the success of waging war on Iraq, in large part, was dependent upon the slogan: "Let's Not Have Another Vietnam!" What that meant was kept vague. To the uniformed and the average American (oh, am I being redundant?) that meant no more scrutiny of conscience, and history or the facts coming into focus with the question: "Why did we go to war in Vietnam?"

But, that aside I want to probe into the deepest problem.

The athletic ability of sex is not the texture or tenor of sexuality imbued with sacred powers. How this fundamental truth escapes most is because we have been totally seeped into the essence of what white people come from as evidenced by the Greek's sexual depravity and the well documented depravity of the European exhibited with ease in their abilities to subjugate. Black Americans need to cleanse themselves of the illusions forced on us in a brutal, systematic and consistent way during their occupation by slavery and murder.

I am charging Black Americans to see what has been in our faces the entire duration of our relationship with whites: the order of importance of Greek thought. In this order, if you reexamine what we learned in school man on boy was the ideal of love, and proper sexual relations. The love between women and men was non-existent meaning: romantic love between men and women was not their ideal. By their own words, their own philosophers, like Plato, women were for procreation, marriage with a woman was an economic tie.

They had to have children. How else could they have sex and enjoy it without children? The Greek rules of man on boys had its rules and had its name, which I cannot remember at present. What I do remember with clarity over the span of my lifetime is the vague references to sexual depravity inherent within white men's humor, and the saying white men said amongst themselves during the torture and hanging of Colored men.

"A man ain't a man 'til he's had a nigger!" They sodomized Black men during the torture or after they killed them, however they killed them.

This dynamic is coming out with force in the decades since Gay Activists laid down in writing their agenda point by point. One of their chief insistences is the freedom to have sex with whomever and whatever they want. Children are not safe in this dynamic; not safe by any stretch of the imagination. So, the question goes to Black men and Red men: who will protect the innocent?

Within the deepest problem in the Black community is the feminization of boys and men. The horrors of what that means flies into the 'righteous' fervor of the Gay activist movement passing themselves off as a benevolent force and a practical lifestyle with logical retorts to any opponents. Black Americans need to take this on as a matter of life and death, not only for our sakes, and our children's sake, but for Africans living at home in their countries like Uganda, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and so on. Why? Because in African nations the problem is deep and a horror story of unprecedented proportions! Black Americans need to school Africans at home because we've been through what they are experiencing now! Our knowledge is their salvation!

We need to unlearn a great deal and the real men, the alpha men of the darker hue need to come out in their strength and clarity because without our dynamic force the white agenda will grow even more powerful and Black America will be no more than a part of a centuries long cultural phenomenon of sexual depravity that Greek culture is and is the core of the American whites. More and more children in general will be taken from their parents into the sex trade, and cannibalism in some quarters; death after sex in other quarters of the world-at-large.

Our ancients have seen this from the beginning and never been proven wrong. Pain and deep suffering and the surgical removal of spirit, spirit powers connected to African cultures, and dark spirituality the whites performed on us changed us into vessels for semen, rape, and degradation never seen at the scale it is today compared to our yesterday with the white people. There is no time to find and save the 'good' white people. That has never worked. It is time to study the Black Africans who have successfully defeated white powers. It is a question of life and death this one thing.

If the presidency of Donald Trump means anything it means our Elders need take our boys and train and initiate them properly and to make our men not lost, men. Men are our protectors. Without the protectors no one is safe. Simple math. It is simple math and the hard work of unlearning, and the even harder work of facing the whites with power with these truths in the name of being men, and protectors and warriors at the deepest level protecting our women, our children and communities with the knowledge that killing, if necessary, and taking back what was taken is our first priority!

Book. Question. Did Africans cultivate culture in Europe.

"Africans have been historically portrayed as savages to support European colonialism and missionary agendas to exploit African natural resources. Were the ancient Egyptians black? Did Egyptian explorers land in Greece some 4,000 years ago? Did they plant colonies, establish royal houses, and bring civilization to Europe’s savage tribes? Did the secret rites of their temple cults resurface among the Knights Templar and Freemasons?" - anon

Growing Up Wisely!

Older woman light in the winds of summer.

I remember how difficult it was as a young man to resist older women who saw something within me they could release in their beds. I did succeed. I did because I was disciplined by what I was taught. I had a warrior's code, and deep insight into my make up. I was also afraid. Scared of them because often I wanted to give in, and get some of what I knew would be good punany. I was also scared I'd never know what it would feel like to not be a whore when I was an old man.

When I was near giving in I reached out for unorthodox help, and of my options would bring my wife physically into the construct threatening the vow I made. It was hard.

It is important for young people to know how to resist. Simply saying no is weak. It isn't enough to not have powers you can use, but have no inkling how to use what powers you do have! This is the plight of too many.

the Complexity of Marriage

"By experience, I know how such a relationship feels and functions from both sides. I don't get the part about texting. I am not one who believes in 'falling in love'. It implies an option: falling out. What disturbs me about this article, this approach to marriage is it is one-sided. This doesn't feel like a union, but a wish from an incomprehension of reciprocation. It is more wish from a comfortable place between a harsh reality, and a non-understanding.

Many times survivors of relationships based upon conflict spill out a stream of words describing what they could not do, but felt should happen to them in their own ideal of marriage. It is sad because the wish list does not serve the other; it is a seeking of someone to serve them as in a fairy tale." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories [8/16/17]

Fall in love with someone who can love your soul more than your body.

Fall in love with someone who will love you unconditionally. Who will accept your flaws, imperfections, shortcomings and make you feel that you’re worth having. Who will fight for you despite the difficulties and storms in life. Who will understand you and your insane or annoying mannerisms. Who will pacify you until you become okay. Who will talk to you after a long fight.

Fall in love with someone who will appreciate your efforts, and who will guide you and support you throughout your goals in life. Who will still be with you at the end of the day, who will travel for hours just to see your smile. Who will always be by your side, whatever happens.

Fall in love with someone who will kiss you every time and make you feel that you’re the most significant being in the world. Who will make you feel the sudden rush and sensation inside. Who will serenade you through phone calls until you fall asleep, and greet and text you with long and sweet messages when you wake up.

Fall in love with someone who can be your best friend and a lover at the same time. Who will stay up late with you and talk about random things in life. Who will spend the rest of the day with you, joking around, playing and laughing all day long. Who will never ever get tired of holding your hand and show to everyone how deeply he/she is in love with you.

Fall in love with someone who will forgive you every time. Who will love you first before his/her hobbies, work and anything/anyone else in this world. Who will make your every moment a heavenly bliss. Who will comply his/her promises to you. Who will respect you and your decisions in life.

Fall in love with someone who can love your soul more than your body. Who can eliminate your worries, tears and doubts. Who will never get tired of understanding you. Who will make you happy and feel contented. Who will never fail to amaze you.

Belief in our Breath

Hadassah Richardson, author & model.

Gifts to the world come in all kinds of guises. It has to be that way. So precious is the gift of soul it merits protection by illusions to keep it from those forces housed within people who do not respect or value innocence. Many children deserve this kind of protection. Not receiving it places them at a crossroads (Elegba). One direction is hard. It is discovering self through severe hardship. The other road is addictions and the option of suicide.

Overcoming these kinds of childhoods is a dangerous series of events and decisions in a world demanding conformity abrasive with its attendant fears. When such a feat is accomplished the world changes against its will, and people are freed in the presence of those who walked away with the light they were born with to do what they came here to do in this lifetime. Such people are magical people, healers, craftspeople who make the tools for those engrossed in their spiritual work, and the music makers who travel between the worlds of sound, color and light.

From this point on the work has clarity and power is its food. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 5/30/16

Feel Free

Juno Brown free as a bird. (2013 August)

Just as much, and perhaps more difficulty goes into learning balance in an asana as is difficulty to master one's spirit and gain freedom from within. How these two concepts work corresponds with whether and if a person knows themselves, or wants to know!

Another way to say this is: "Just as much, and perhaps more goes into learning to balance in an asana as it is to be free from within."

Balance and mastery are relatives. Freedom comes from somewhere bondage begins. Freedom is not only a goal it is a study of why one is bound in either body or mind, spirit or emotion. Perhaps all those elements are in place to be enslaved, but being free of a master we can see, and what is within us recalls the lack of a balanced scope to view one's truth courageously? - Gregory E. LOOK IN

Do You Like Who You Are?

By Kimberly Hudson-Grey
April 10, 2017

There was a really powerful scene on The Young And Restless not long ago. The character Devon was talking about his turbulent relationship with his wife, Hilary to his Dad, Neil. She lied, schemed, and manipulated him throughout their marriage. He described her as toxic. This scene followed after Devon was released from the hospital, recuperating from a major car accident, an accident that was the result of an argument with Hilary. The argument enraged him to the point of driving recklessly on an icy road with no regard to his safety or to anyone else’s.

In his script, a few thing he said really struck a chord with me. For instance, “I gave so many second chances I’ve lost count.” But he continued, “That’s not who I am, I don’t do stuff like that. That’s not me…My relationship with her has been destroying this family and me since the beginning. I wake up, I look in the mirror, I don’t even like the person I’ve become. I shouldn’t feel like that, that’s not OK. this has to end.” The really sad and unfortunate thing is that even though Devon and Hilary are fictitious characters, his situation is probably very real to many people. The feeling is obvious when you’ve begun to lose yourself. Acknowledge it as instinct or your intuition. So, my question to you is, do you like who you are in your relationship?

Hopefully, the answer to this question is yes. Yes to knowing your worth and the value you bring to a relationship. So, if you find yourself dissatisfied and disappointed with yourself in a relationship, any relationship, be it with a sibling, coworker, friend or even a parent and you find that you’re making regretful decisions because of their influence, then maybe it’s time to examine why.

Do this – look inward and be honest. Are you going along just to get along ignoring every red flag that’s chipping away at your self-identity? Are you someone who can’t say no to drama and wretchedness? Recognize the red flags because ignoring them won’t make them go away. As a matter of fact, they’ll get worse as time goes on.

I encourage you to be fearless enough to make sound reasonable decisions for your own well being. After all, what is your reward for being influenced by an individual? Be free from toxicity and learn to say no to losing yourself in your relationships. Of course, in the scenario above, Devon and Hilary were married. And despite statistics, it’s not that easy to escape a toxic marriage. Counseling may be recommended.

Black Relationships

Black American family by love lace photography

Kimberly, what a powerfully written piece. It isn't by accident, I believe, the script writers dig in deep and write from powerful insights into the human condition because one who is living cannot help it. The words Devon said in the Young & the Restless speaks to and of and about a keen warrior awakened. The misconception of what a warrior's way is, who a warrior is, and what a warrior can and cannot do is based upon belief in the fantasy of storytellers in the mediums of television, radio in the old days, and the movies we watch.

The retelling of how one group of Americans want the world to be has changed the truth into something else and convinced countless people they have no power, or place, or cannot ever be positioned into a place of power. I dig the style of a woman capable of living to tell the story of over-powering the illusions one can live with. Telling the story of the escape? Well, each of us should have that pleasure in the aftermath of struggle to victory.

Focus.

Kate Walsh making a leggy appearance at the ‘Get Hard’ premiere wearing an oversized double breasted jacket, flimsy silk shorts and sexy heels !!!!What a far cry from the outrageous role of an unorthodox judge in her series a couple years ago.

Katie Holmes, actress in a black Azzedine Alaïa LBD with see-through slivers !!!! What a far cry from the dangerous villain with insatiable appetites for sex in power, acquisition at any cost, and vengeance in her role in the Ray Donovan series! It was chilling and focused her portrayal. It was hard to place her good looks in light so dark was her character. What a skill.

The ability not to use one's beauty or be indifferent to it as a chameleon in a role as an actress, to me, has long been impressive. It is a strength translatable in life situations to be indifferent to features that can and do endear one to other people's admiration to focus on a task at hand important enough to benefit others.

How many times have we seen ball players inwardly, and obviously focused on how 'pretty' they are, how good they look at the expense of the game 'profiling' for attention to be drawn on their good looks losing games, making mistakes, or worse get injured injuring another in their vanity?

Self-serving is vanity. It is enough to get killed in a battlefield. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories Nov. 5, 2016

It does require us to question whether the forms and roles we have chosen communicate the values and wisdom we honour." ~ Tina Arriola

What you must know...

It is pointless to point out a Sexy body as a way of attracting women. It works on a type of women themselves on the prowl, but the need for sex is too obvious a distraction to see beyond into what follows after sex. Such a glimpse is important to have for a warrior's code, but not every man has one because not every man is a protector or a warrior of spirit and training.

Who am I speaking to is a question on someone's lips. I am speaking to the spirit of both genders. We all need training of our spirits. It is a prerequisite for sexual activity. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 10.12.16

JOY: a Warrior Teaching

horse & rider

Joy is one of the least written about, and talked about subjects. So seldom is it vaulted as an attribute that when it is seen it is marveled at. Children's essence is joy, and exceptional displays of joy at some point in their little lives become subject matter for adults. Accompanied by excited behavior professionals come in to diagnosis them with a condition and inoculate them for the duration of their tenure in school.

The rewards of joy are elusive, but attainable. To have joy is to have the ability to be one's self. To be an adult living joyfully is be an adult strong enough to facilitate the maturing process of joy within the soul and essence of who one is in the world-at-large! Without maturity people do not take joy in adults without a pinch of salt. American adults usually struggle with the evidence of joy because the puritanical ethic shuns the presence of joy.

The joy of wisdom and the joy of a wise person can overwhelm the millions addicted to despondency. Deeply attached to the culture of fear and bondage joy does not serve well in prime time television unless it can be managed. There are exceptions on television. The chef, Rachel Ray, is the prime example of joy operating within an industry that thrives on the sadness of the time.

An Act of Power

a Black woman in a beauty salon by Ray Pitts !!!!

Rebecca Rosé by Kerry Baleka above the fray. 2016

Pretending to be coy is as complex an act of seduction as intentionally seducing. How it is played is through the tension desire and need play with sexual energies.

With fondness looking back upon the life I led it is different than the memories of men I know who took advantage of every woman's advances. I had a code not to brag about but to try living up to.

It was extremely difficult at times without guidance from a wise Elder, but with the counsel and examples of men like my father and a couple of holy men I gained insights I am proud of, pleased with and stirred by. The most provocative women of substance beckoned and summoned me. I had many adventures of the soul. Whores came and beckoned. I refused them, but invited them into a realm none had experienced in their lives, and some transformed became themselves for a time.

How One Finds Herself in Water.

Potomac River, Washington DC by Gail Dickert 2016 August.

I went to the river to find some solace and observed how the driftwood and trees/roots take a beating from the water and debris. The amount of glass in the Potomac is shameful. We live on a planet that is ravaged by carelessness literally but also emotionally.

I found myself first as the littered sands, the cluttered shore - the sadness of feeling taken advantage of came over me in small waves of tears...

Until I saw how butterflies still visit, smaller trees and plants still... press through... and turtles still pop up to say hello.

This planet is full of emotional litter and garbage energy, yet we can be the smoother stumps and the eager butterflies. We can be the curious turtle or the watchful Osprey.

We don't have to let the energy of others turn our hearts to glass shreds and plastic pieces.

I will never let this world make a stone wall out of my soul.
I still fall apart in the face of carelessness because I am whole.
I still smile in the face of hate because I have no reason to fear.
I breathe because the river still flows...
In all seasons and in all storms, I will only get smoother...

Namaste, Potomac.
Aho!

I AM teaches. . .

brown exotic Island woman, Reba

The ideology: "Faithfulness isn't just physical, it's emotional as well." sounds secure as a definite meaning when you hear it said a certain way, but upon examination it is too broad a speculation.

One may have bought a wild horse, but taming it takes particular skills, and the mastery of one person who has mastered himself enough to place dominance over an animal not meant for subjugation. How can one judge one's self faithful based upon the wildness and unpredictability of one's emotions under the gaze of any number of stimuli one has to wade through in the course of a day, or a lifetime of change and challenge?

Often, this advise is specific for sexual tendencies, but there is much more to master in the realms of our emotions. For example, war, sports and business competitions are tests and challenges to the spirit of one's emotions, and the frailty of one's emotions. We need to be impeccable in word and deed if we are to become strong and principled warriors, because in the course of disciplining our spirits our emotions may be in another assembly wrecking havoc. Here, in this arena, we need to eventually learn how to navigate this type of complexity.

I don't know how much clarity I've brought to this discussion, or what could become a discussion, but I know how important it is to move into the depth of a subject if one is unlearning, and learning to be a spiritual warrior above the average run of the mill approach to a faith walk. I know it isn't easy to plant the words, "A man that cannot control his spirit is like a city without walls!" in one's spirit to allow the process of changing form to create the deep roots within our Center-Being for those words to become us! Many before us, and many around us have done this work.
