Goldie Hawn, at 68 playing tennis in a skirt !!!!

Actress Goldie Hawn is active in the way many, if not most baby boomers are doing: engaging and embracing life! She reportedly plays a lot of tennis, tries for at least four workouts a week, does yoga, meditation, Pilates and cycles. In short, she is playing. Any hard work deserves play. Harshness deserves release and pliable moments, or states of being. Maintaining a good life-vibration needs lots of play. Time away from the frivolous means maturity will move at the pace and with the same intensity of hot lava down a volcano. I am not sure how the current generation with all of the deliberate holes in their basic framework will fare, but they will mature differently, and perhaps do a better job with the heap of tangled messes we left unto them.

In the United States play is being taken away from this generation of children by their parent's and teacher's sentry style of parenting. With their children's heads hooded in protective gear parents can be seen monitoring and lording over every aspect of their children's lives adding nausea to what should be years long time spent in a state of abandonment into magic and discovery. Without play people lose their flexibility and become hard and conservative in all aspects of their lives. Perhaps that is why the Islamic world lost its brilliance and creativity it was known for during and a bit after the Axial Period of history. I don't know, but surely someone will break free, and somehow freedom will better embrace the conceptual lives of a whole generation steeped in not knowing so many fundamental things whilst pretending their phones are the only technological advancements of their era!

That is a rather narrow assessment of a generation, but most people of each generation are herded into an idea of self, and don't have the courage to become who they are. It seems to be a law of nature. But, laws like prophecies can be altered and changed abruptly by the simplest of technologies: the spoken word. But, that takes a special skill in human evolution that is largely ignored by people today who think they are connected and don't understand their connection is based upon their financial ability to keep paying into it with money and good credit.
