The Change Challenge

Online, I saw a very short clip of a young white man protesting on a city corner on the abortion question. This pro-abortion advocate, in defense of his position, round house kicks the white woman both filming him and challenging him intellectually. She goes down calling for someone to call the police.

I have intervened in similar situations like this. My mother would have approved of the type of intervention he asked for. The sad fact is: now more than in the past women can get punched in public, and most will not intervene. The typical reaction would be recording it on a phone. "Who will protect the innocent?" when the old school of thought and practice leaves?

By the audio of this short clip it is clear there was no physical intervention. If it doesn't happen in the initial few seconds, it won't.... Taping an event like this is meaningless. There is nothing of substance to place upon the film clip! In others words: watchers have no power! They just stand there and watch! So, the pressing question stilled by indifference remains: "Who will protect the innocent?"

Fred Astaire. Looking at the man through the lens of how entertainment failed and divided the races (Black and white) with the ingratitude of white entertainers learning, as best they could, how to dance the popular African dances of the time is a tell. . . White people are indeed lacking in gratitude, they also prefer to not acknowledge the debt of African genius. It doesn't agree with the intelligence of their assumptions of superiority, arrogance.

Far beyond in terms of years, the current fad of playing around with words and concepts like diversity, getting along, tolerance and other trite movements white people distant themselves from self-analysis and we, the rest of us, have to grapple without the presence of the designers of the racial construct we live within, to get along with white people! That's some shit! But, that is the way the misconception: racial reconciliation conducts itself!

This is hard to understand with a Twitter frame of reference and developmental substance. There are those who would prefer I'd simplify complex subjects, but I am a mature man who has steeped himself in study and analysis of this culture since my teenage years. Why would I try to fit all of this into 140 characters like the President Trump currently does most days!

It is this division of intelligence wrestling this global power into ineffectiveness. In time, in ways I don't need to see from this vantage point because of my age is a grown up way of dealing with a child. Let the child stumble. In this sector of human history the risk is the loss of power, and Americans without the powers they are accustomed to will falter in terror, no longer being the most powerful nation in the world!

Reacting to the visual of two Black men, Garfield Burley and Curtis Brown, hung from a telephone pole, by a mob of 500 white men, women and children, October 8, 1902, in Newbern, Tennessee; who refused the assessment of a Criminal Court Judge Maiden pleading for them to wait for a trail the next day! They couldn't. They didn't. These were white people acting out the conditioning from their homelands. 

Reading the reactions of Black American women is painful, but laced with truthful insights, and the nuances of clarity the general population practices not looking their way. One woman, Sandra Mitchell said: 

"Black Lives Matter. This goes to show the horrific moments our black people had to go through in those days. Nowadays, we have mental lynchings which is similar to physical lynchings! Graphic picture; but, needed for us to see what they've endured. But, God!. . ."

For those who care, the pain of women speaking from the pain in their birth places hurts the ears, and stabs into the heart of being African in America! It took me two days to find and unearth my words to say: 

"... Sandra, the depth of your pain is a recollection you didn't have to live, but you feel. For that it is good because it keeps the spirits of our ancestors as a cry echoing in daily life. Whites try to minimize the strength and the power of what is your angst, but the echoes persist as white men kill without regard for the 'why' of their way, of their spiritual make up. Maybe, if women were connected to their wombs, and developed themselves to use those powers from on high, and from depth within, changes will occur from deep within? PARENTING in TRUTH 

It is hard to gauge the strength of moral character in the face, or in front of your sexual fetish; whatever it may be. What is difficult is restraining yourself. Some boys and men have never seen an example of restraint believing wholeheartedly pussy/women are to be taken. If it is warm and wet and she hints at intercourse, take it! If you imagine switching places, and there is a large homosexual man on the prowl, and you as a 17 year old boy are his fetish what do you face with him taking you from behind? He feels the way you feel about sex, and taking what he wants. How would you feel in the moment, and afterwards with him spent and relieved, and you sore and defiled?

This happens a lot. It is frightening. It is everywhere. This scenario is an indescribable terror silenced by the fanfare of Gay activism currently en vogue selecting what topics will be discussed from their agenda for validation, and acceptance. But, the question Elders pose is simple and profound. Who will protect the children? Who will protect innocence and the innocent child from the ravenous beasts?

Against the cultural backdrop of adults incapable of not giving their children to powers that work against the value and the substance of their child's essence what chance has a child to be their authentic self as an adult? Education is not the answer. The value of education is in its ability to steer a boat away from dangerous currents, not justify with the head what the heart knows to be a truth!

There are many examples of excellence around us, and in world history and American history of parenting styles that produced at a high level extraordinary adults who shaped the world from their vantage point of authenticity. Millions of people despise Condolezza Rice for good reasons, and unfounded reasons based in misconceptions founded in the way their parents raised them with unsubstantiated fears. The core of Ms. Rice is how her parents raised her in the segregated South!

There is my father who was the Chairman of C.O.R.E. in the late 1960's in Washington DC. Paul Hines who was the Virginia high school coach who was part of the team of black coaches that profoundly shaped Virginia white and black boys in the early 1970's. Their lives were featured in a film Denzel Washington starred in. There was Mr. & Mrs. Holmes down the street from us who were educators of the highest order in Black middle class Prince Georges County, Maryland, who raise their sons in their realms to such a degree their two sons could not help but be their authentic selves as family men. David Tolson's parents raised their four sons simultaneously on four levels of being to be principled, owners, men and investors in the four levels of their being.

These are people most don't know of, but live amongst us. If people cannot look at their celebrities to see these attributes look around your world. We are in every neighborhood, city, town and country.
