THE WHITE MAN

THE WHITE MAN AND SNAKE

A white man, it is said, met Snake upon whom a large stone had fallen and covered her so that she could not rise. The White Man lifted the stone off Snake, but when he had done so, she wanted to bite him.

The White Man said, " Stop! let us both go first to some wise people."

They went to Hyena, and the White Man asked him, "Is it right that Snake should want to bite me, when I helped her as she lay under a stone and could not rise?"

Hyena (who thought he would get his share of the White Man's body) said, "If you were bitten what would it matter?" Then Snake wanted to bite him, but the White Man said again, "Wait a little, and let us go to other wise people, that I may hear whether this is right."

They went and met Jackal.

The White Man said to Jackal, "Is it right for Snake to want to bite me, when I lifted up the stone which lay upon her?" Jackal replied, "I do not believe that Snake could be covered by a stone so she could not rise. Unless I saw it with my two eyes, I would not believe it. Therefore, come let us go and see the place where you say it happened whether it can be true."

They went, and arrived at the place where it had happened.

Jackal said, "Snake, lie down, and let thyself be covered." Snake did so, and the White Man covered her with the stone; but although she exerted herself very much, she could not rise. Then the White Man wanted again to release Snake, but Jackal interfered, and said, "Do not lift the stone. She wanted to bite you, therefore she may rise by herself."

Then they both went away and left Snake under the stone.

Story from unknown tribe.

Funny to me how indigenous peoples picked up the scent of white people's spirit upon contact, or soon after. It is the way 'we' have talked about white people to our children and each other that informed us about the narrowness of their vision.

"You gotta train white people in the way they should go!" I've heard all my life, one way or another.

Whispers in the Air.

Mystery and mysterious things weave through our lives the way serpents like to be present, but invisible. Choosing to see is choosing to believe. The choice made to believe leads one soul away from mere faith towards the depths of knowing and another remains moored in the mire of mere faith only believing, never doing.

Finding a serpent is hard. Being found by a serpent requires no effort at all. All we have is presence to be felt, presence to be perceived, and the presence of the Unknown to know who we are and how we fit serpentine of spirit into the heavy, wet underbrush in any forested area on earth.

These mysterious things women bring to the forefront of men's limited ability to grasp the connections between the vulva, water and the movements of a woman intertwined through sex with a man's soul. ~ Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories Jan. 15, 2017

The body of this Black woman in an orange Peplum Bodycon dress well above her knees is a wonder. It is impossible not to look hard and wonder about who she may be, who she is to Life, and what is in her face.

stories of creation

Stories of Creation are creation stories. Their merit is based upon the amount and level of truth and depth of insight into creative processes poured into them. Who first told them, at one point in time, was important until a third generation came along and the telling and potency of the story was still alive and vibrant. An assembly of special people, or a person was the conduit for the revealing and understanding of the creation of the world. As the expanse of time grew from the first moments the practical understandings became the stories each group of people believed and understood as their own.

Creation stories within individuals are equally intriguing. What do you believe, and how were you created? What is your creation story? These questions are fundamental to the journeys we take and the decisions we make daily. I know traditions have taught the magic out of creativity and enforced the idea that Creation is fixed in a time long ago, and gone, but the process of life-death-resurrection contains evolution and magic and introspection from one life to another and one lifetime to another. This process challenges the notion of permanence and says creation like blood flow continues until the idea of existence loses its vibrancy.

Christian Minority & the Serpent

Many Christians state, or suspect being a Christian puts them in a minority status. I disagree. This country is very interesting. The Puritan's impact on the culture, on one's thinking and basis in 'American thought' is profound. It echoes, and resounds in the annals of the things atheists, and agnostics write, think and talk about. Why? Because they come out of the very Puritanical framework their conscious minds took them away from. The Christian faith seems to reside within many of us in varying levels of maturity, and degrees of acceptance. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 6.4.13

"Man is like the serpent in his need to shed skin and allow the growth of a new self, and the urgent need to connect with the healing balm of the Earth, our Mother to do such a thing as re-establish order, and harmony within." ~ Gregory E. Woods

AWAKEN SHE

Anayalisa LOVE is...

Awaken she the primal Goddess within... the hunter, the keeper, the protector. Her instincts crystallized  She see's right through you. The serpent arises, moves infinite energy, her thirst for shifts of change, the mother of the forest...grounding her every move into the belly of spirit mother. Slowly looks to her right and to her left she walks straight into the unknown. Conscious and aware of her surroundings...she bleeds YES...leaving traces of her path. Who will follow. She leads you into the core of your primal breath...silence fills the forest...She releases aloud, claiming her right of the Wild Animal within...I AM SHE... -Anayalisa Love

Women In The World Summit 2013: Watch it live!

Dedicated to spurring global change through sharing stories of courage, survival, and triumph, this year's...

VIEW & READ

eye of Mocha Mango

At the international level women are connecting through summits, and meetings in various places throughout the world. Spiritually, women are connecting within themselves in ways new to the downtrodden, and wise to those not well-versed in the strategies of survival at the international, social, political, and personal states of being. As a man what can I breath into this event, and the changes occurring around the world? is what I ask of myself.

Change as a creature is always dangerous. It leaves one momentarily exposed, and vulnerable as a serpent shedding his skin in a forest, near a gathering of stones, or underneath a shed. If it weren't necessary for the healers, and the serpents to renew they wouldn't be able to hear the voices of the plants, or the elements, or know the Invisible Ones were present. They would, in time, be unaware of the subtle changes, and shifts in the winds. To know the ways of healing and reconciliation requires a continual shedding of ways, thoughts, patterns, and states of being. It is the healer's job to be sensitive to the insensitive, knowing to the dull and ignorant sons, and daughters pained by the onslaughts of grieve, neglect, abuse, and misunderstanding. There are many things for the healer within women to know and do.

Being a healer is the part of womanhood, (as I've experienced it as a son, friend, lover, and soul mate), most intangible, volatile, dangerous, and essential for the continuation of Life through the passages of birth, renewal, the transition from life to death, the way out of denial and into the knowing belief is responsible for ushering the willing and initiated soul into. The shades of difference between the man who is a healer, and the woman who is a healer are less difference, and more other bodies of energies for specific purposes and states of being.

These thoughts come to me clearly as if a cold wind sped through a melted opening in the ice. I feel the coldness of hard reality like ice with the stark reality of my mother's spirit visiting me with sharp critical clarity to see me one more time. She is saying her goodbyes dying from a cancer, and from a lifetime of living deeply as a woman who ushered enormous amounts of healing energies into the bodies of her sons, and daughter, and husband, and those directed to be in her path, her home, her energy space. It is an awe-inspiring task in reflection. But during her lifetime it was a series of tasks for each of her roles, and her spiritual responsibilities that taught the souls of her children, and was wife to her husband.

I am not yet in mourning. I am in a state of being still, present and with the moments Mommy is within. Whether I am physically there, or at a distance in another room, or miles away I am a presence open to the winds from above, and the energies from the Earth, our Mother. Being that open to those forces has made my body a conduit, my spirit a vessel, or a force I cannot put to words. With a touch I can transfer those elements into Mommy's bodies. It is all I can do. I have long ceased praying for Mommy. I am just her son, and the spirit of a son present, open, there and immersed in my love for Mommy's soul, and life.

IMPERIAL DYNASTY of the EMERALD SERPENT

African art - a woman with horns of the Imperial Dynasty of the Emerald Serpent

IMPERIAL DYNASTY of the EMERALD SERPENT

“The Priestess-Warrioress dominated the minds of her subjects without oppression because she embodied the elements of Fear as a woman who created and mastered fears. The People thought highly of her abilities, but stayed away from her as a necessity for their survival. The danger of her lineage was at the triangle, the apex of the triangle between her legs where only one Man ever entered, explored and faltered in his movements. He barely regained his sense of Self prior to their sexual explorations. What he did have of value to her was intimate knowledge of her possessed by no one, but sought by many. She was the essence of a sensuality dark with danger, red with resolution, and powerful enough to scale the heights of creativity, and tar the lower caverns of a soul.

If this isn’t her then who is she?"

breasts of a woman from the Imperial Dynasty of the Emerald Serpent

... the only man who had ever entered her making love to her had this image of her imprinted into his memory as a talisman, a healing balm, an energy of divine principles not easily discern without a mind to serve, heal, empower, and trust in the divinity of her will, her essential elements that made Creation possible, and copulation mysterious. Everything he ate of hers tasted good, and elevated the senses he had to perceive the fragrance of her breath, her tantalizing breathe of Life as prayers, and unctions of her spirit. Such was their union: powerful, memorable, and dangerous.

African woman of the Imperial dynasty of the Emerald Serpent

No one dared look at her breasts, but every man did. The strength and the invisible delicate flower petals within her countenance was implied, and the physical strength she projected was not perceived. The amount of hair upon her head took up where her physical strength left off taunting masculine prowess, and opened peripheral vision to see the vision she carried within her capacity to kill, and absorb the men who came to her beds.

Creation story from the Imperial Dynasty of the Emerald Serpent

“Every element essential to the rituals shamans and healers employ took on the forms of animals whose bodies hold their Medicines gathered around the concepts of duality and the serpentine fires of healing and restoration…”

Elders ancient of days in the mountains of the Imperial Dynasty of the Emerald Serpent

“... the Elders Ancient of Days did not allow, permit, or know how to stop praying and doing ceremony for the lands they came from, and the people they are responsible for. Their inability to perceive the lines of demarcation is a telling, a testimony of focused energies their descendents absorb into their bodies..." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

RESTORATION

Erin Melissa Pillman

"Had Eve known Lilith, or known her story with a deep understanding of who she was Eve would have probably, and wisely allowed herself to be penetrated by the Serpent. That copulation would have resurrected the capacity to heal, and restore life without being self-conscious." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories
