fashion OF ILLUSION

black school teacher Diamond Jackson 2

According to a short biography someone wrote of her, Candace Von comes from the Bronx in New York (born in 1984). "She's one of the finest black amateurs in porn (probably along with Tyra Moore). You can find Candace on many hardcore sites like: Big Boobs Pass, Big Tits Curvy Asses, Assparade, Big Boob Dreams and others".

Is that her, I ask, or is that someone's assessment of her? Who's value and assessment of Candace is more important to Candace her handlers, her sex drives and fantasies, the men who hire her, or the one's who bone her?

A blogger has a feature of the popular and accomplished actress, Eva Longoria that is a photographic treat of a few minutes of her walking in the street. There are 25 pictures of her, but the title brings me back to a reality I, and others need to think about, and probably becomes abhorrent upon honest reflection. The title of his photography gallery is: 'Eva Longoria's Ass is God!' Doesn't that title reduce her to similar levels of perception a porn star like Candace Von projects into the world?

So far, the public doesn't share outrage over this assessment of either women and others like them, and many guys enamored of a woman's behind would go near that estimation, but to equate God with ass? That takes a lot of nerve. It is an assertion akin to Coca Cola's that says, 'Coke is the real thing!' On the surface it feels one way. Ripping to shreds the initial perception of the saying logic collides with absurdity and easily exhausts minds weakened already by gossip and trivia pursuits. But, aren't we graduating ever growing numbers of high schoolers without analytical minds in the U.S.? So, this train of thought is going over many heads!

But, on the other hand women and their bodies can and do inspire men. From a man's perspective those definitions of divinity women's bodies set into motion within men take on different forms and the criticism of what some of our remarks engineers does not fairly take into consideration the tremendous energies women can cause to swell within men, and move us into worship and action with their bodies. Women have to be careful determining what a man means when he is adoring and speaking about adoring women. Many times those inspirations lead men to God! - Gregory E. GODDESS ancient of DAYS

Egyptian Goddess of Love
Het-Hert

The study, acceptance, and understanding of the Goddess have not necessarily evolved. It has changed. In diminished capacity she, the Goddess, has been trivialized to imply sex, and sexual opportunity. Western Christianity has denied her existence so long women struggle with the notion of sexuality, power, divinity, beauty and spiritual power as one whole entity, or force of Nature. It has led to enormous upheaval. Daughters ill-equipped for the enormous energies of Womanhood make horrible mistakes and decisions. Without the advantages of ceremonies and rituals that bound and connect them to the vital energies of Water, their Wombs, and the Earth, our Mother this triangular relationship learns to live the way Kabbalah has learned to live amongst the mundane throughout the ages. - Gregory E. Women In The World Summit 2013: Watch it live!

Dedicated to spurring global change through sharing stories of courage, survival, and triumph, this year's...

VIEW & READ

eye of Mocha Mango

At the international level women are connecting through summits, and meetings in various places throughout the world. Spiritually, women are connecting within themselves in ways new to the downtrodden, and wise to those not well-versed in the strategies of survival at the international, social, political, and personal states of being. As a man what can I breath into this event, and the changes occurring around the world? is what I ask of myself.

Change as a creature is always dangerous. It leaves one momentarily exposed, and vulnerable as a serpent shedding his skin in a forest, near a gathering of stones, or underneath a shed. If it weren't necessary for the healers, and the serpents to renew they wouldn't be able to hear the voices of the plants, or the elements, or know the Invisible Ones were present. They would, in time, be unaware of the subtle changes, and shifts in the winds. To know the ways of healing and reconciliation requires a continual shedding of ways, thoughts, patterns, and states of being. It is the healer's job to be sensitive to the insensitive, knowing to the dull and ignorant sons, and daughters pained by the onslaughts of grieve, neglect, abuse, and misunderstanding. There are many things for the healer within women to know and do.

Being a healer is the part of womanhood, (as I've experienced it as a son, friend, lover, and soul mate), most intangible, volatile, dangerous, and essential for the continuation of Life through the passages of birth, renewal, the transition from life to death, the way out of denial and into the knowing belief is responsible for ushering the willing and initiated soul into. The shades of difference between the man who is a healer, and the woman who is a healer are less difference, and more other bodies of energies for specific purposes and states of being.

These thoughts come to me clearly as if a cold wind sped through a melted opening in the ice. I feel the coldness of hard reality like ice with the stark reality of my mother's spirit visiting me with sharp critical clarity to see me one more time. She is saying her goodbyes dying from a cancer, and from a lifetime of living deeply as a woman who ushered enormous amounts of healing energies into the bodies of her sons, and daughter, and husband, and those directed to be in her path, her home, her energy space. It is an awe-inspiring task in reflection. But during her lifetime it was a series of tasks for each of her roles, and her spiritual responsibilities that taught the souls of her children, and was wife to her husband.

I am not yet in mourning. I am in a state of being still, present and with the moments Mommy is within. Whether I am physically there, or at a distance in another room, or miles away I am a presence open to the winds from above, and the energies from the Earth, our Mother. Being that open to those forces has made my body a conduit, my spirit a vessel, or a force I cannot put to words. With a touch I can transfer those elements into Mommy's bodies. It is all I can do. I have long ceased praying for Mommy. I am just her son, and the spirit of a son present, open, there and immersed in my love for Mommy's soul, and life.

WOMEN IN THE WORLD

Eva Longoria Takes On Xenophobia

By  | Women In The World – Fri, Apr 5, 2013

Speaking on a panel on "Latina Power" at the Women in the World Summit 2013, actress and education activist Eva Longoria took on xenophobia in the United States. "They are scared we're going to have a Taco Bell on every corner," she quipped. More seriously, she pointed out that by 2050, the population of Latinos in the United States will have doubled. "If you look at the numbers, that’s our future workforce. If we don’t educate them, we are in trouble.” Longoria also pointed out that the United States is the only country that "promotes monolingualism." She encouraged teaching children "French…Russian…Chinese—we need to be worldly." Longoria also discussed her non-profit foundation which aims to combat the high dropout rates for Latina teens by giving them tools to get into, and stay in, college.

COMMENTS

Maybe she can help combat the xenophobic principles of the French population of the Canadian province of Quebec whom have declared French as the official and only language allowed to have a presence and actually have Language Police that go around fining people for having English signs or conversing in English in the workplace with the ultimate goal of eliminating English as a 2nd language at the expense of those whose mother tongue is English. All of this without passing through a judicial trial. Guilty as determined by the gestapo. - Rbw

English is the business language of the world, this is the language that needs to be taught first , then if someone wants to learn other languages, it is their choice and to their benefit. Canada is a bilingual country and look at the costs for this and the political problems they are having with Quebec. - William

I'm from California so in my lifetime I've met a lot of people from other countries that came here to America. All of them learned how to speak English except for the Hispanics. Sometimes their English wasn't perfect but they still tried. I've worked with people from Sweden, Russia, Norway, Germany etc. I used to work with quite a few Egyptians that came to the USA to work. They all spoke perfect English and they went by American names. There was a Steve, a Kevin, a Mary etc. If other foreigners can do it they can too. We should not have to learn their native language, they need to learn ours as long as they are going to be in America. - Candygirl

Agreed! Learn it or leave it. I am forced to learn Spanish for employment, and I HIGHLY refute that way of thinking. YOU came HERE, learn the native tongue. If our gov't would stop bending over backwards to please immigrants, etc, we would be much better off. - Kim

Native American woman  Regina Lakota Sioux - fb

"My recollection of American history spoke a lot about the number of European, and Native American, and African languages spoken in the 13 colonies, and on into the decades onward across the continent! How the languages became less significant, and important to their People are varied and often sad. The Africans and the numerous tribes of the People (Native Americans in today's lexicon) have the worse stories and reasons for the loss of their primary tongue to English.

The missing link to understanding this complex question has to do with the dance we all do around the insensitivity of the French, and the English people specifically, and in general Euro-Americans, and their deep sense of supremacy we scientifically call xenophobia!" - Gregory E. DEMISE: the conservative contribution to America

Slaying a Herd of Sacred Cows

November 17, 2010

Here we go again! The chairmen of the presidential, bipartisan deficit commission recently offered President Obama a slew of sacred cows to be sacrificed on the altar of fiscal responsibility. What makes this abomination of desolation so hypocritical is that former Clinton White House Chief of Staff, Erskine Bowles, and former senator, Alan Simpson (R-Wyo), have hatched a plan to send tax payers to the rescue…again, to save the country from the consequences of nearly 25 years of Conservative rule since 1980. And by the way, I am soliciting suggests for a new label to replace “Conservative.” It has become increasingly difficult to define conservatism. One of the bedrock principles of conservatism has been fiscal restraint; however, this pragmatic approach was killed long ago by President Ronald Reagan.

Reagan, the consummate performer, convinced his goose-stepping followers that trickle-down would benefit the entire country. But what trickle down did was place the nation on a spending binge that nearly caused a global, economic meltdown. To be sure, Reagan’s fiscal policies did not cause the mortgage crisis, the gas crisis, the near insolvency of the U.S, automobile industry, and the banking crisis, but it was the trigger that set the entire nation on a pork-feast at the hyper-deficit trough. If we consider what happened to America economically during the eight years of the Reagan Revolution, it amazes me that anyone who calls themselves a Conservative (there I go with that word again) can still pay homage to his legacy.

When Reagan succeeded President Jimmy Carter in 1981, the public debt was $998 billion, or two notches south of $1 trillion; however, when Reagan passed the baton to George H.W. Bush, the debt had exploded to nearly $3 trillion. This is a staggering demonstration of financial mismanagement. To place this level of reckless disregard in its proper perspective, one must consider that in eight years, Reagan tripled what it took the country 204 years to accrue in deficit spending. This is astonishing! Yet, former President Ronal Reagan is still revered in nearly mythological proportions. In fact, I understand that there is a move by Conservatives (there I go with that word again) to nominate him for a posthumous Nobel Prize.

There are three certainties in life: Death, taxes, and the requirement that every GOP leader genuflect before the portrait of Ronald Reagan that hangs in the headquarters of the Republican National Committee. Why? Because Reagan was the first president to demonstrate that you can overspend beyond your wildest imagination if you could convince the country that an enemy was looming: Reagan, of course, had the former Soviet Union; H.W. Bush had Saddam; and Dubya had bin Laden. Now watch very carefully, because the hands are indeed quicker than the eyes – During the 20-year reign of the Republican presidents since 1980, the United States has spent nearly $8 trillion on defense…you still watching?

· Russia disintegrated without firing one single bullet in self defense;
· Saddam was held up in a hole the size of my walk-in closet; and
· The last I heard, Osama bin Laden was last seen walking through the streets of Anacostia.

Did you see that?

This entire performance took place; not because of the trillions that were spent, but in spite of the trillions it cost the American taxpayers. According to one analysis of global defense spending, the U.S. spends more money on defense than the rest of the world combined. The United States spends nearly 57 percent of all military expenditures world-wide. The runner up to this dubious honor and the bronze medal winner go to China and Russia respectively with a combined military spending of $115 billion, or 10 percent of total global military expenditures. America’s closest NATO ally, France, spends about $45 billion per year, or four percent of the total global military expenditures.

Simple mathematics shows me that NATO is getting a free ride at the expense of the tax payers in this country. So let me make sure I have this right: The presidential deficit commission is recommending the elimination of the sacred mortgage deduction; increasing the age of retirement under Social Security; eliminating “all the expensive and popular deductions,” which almost certainly means cafeteria plans, charitable contributions and childcare deductions; programs to assist the poor would be drastically cut back; and an increase in the amount of income subject to Social Security taxes. To be fair, the Commission is also recommending a $100 billion cut in defense spending, but if we assume that the Military Industrial Complex will just roll over and play dead while the surgeon cuts, this would simply reduce America’s percentage of global defense spending from 57 percent to 48 percent.

But as the old saying goes, “Talk is cheap.” Therefore, in addition to my criticism of the plundering of the American treasury, I offer this recommendation: Let’s go back to where the Conservatives (oops, there I go again) ran off the track during the Reagan administration, and reduce military spending to those 1981 levels. This would erase nearly $400 billion in spending overnight, but here is the good part: The $317 billion defense budget during Reagan’s first year is still three times more spending than China and Russia combined, but what it does additionally is require NATO to shoulder more of the burden for living in a relatively safe world.

Although I do not subscribe to Marxism; I must say that Marx’s case on the misunderstood power of the working class is profound. Now that I’ve made my point, here is the overriding issue: Will you sit back and permit your congressional leaders to take the crumbs that Reagan gave you in trickle down, or will you make your political leaders accountable for the decisions that they make? Perhaps demanding that this nation’s vaunted, overpriced military capture bin Laden would be a great first step. With this nation’s almost surreal intelligence apparatus, unless bin Laden is communicating with carrier pigeon, surely we should have captured him by now…if that was a national priority. However, what seems to be most important to our leaders today is to push back the gains, benefits and amenities afforded to the working class over the last 75 years and not the capture of Osama bin Laden.

And unless a chorus of opposition is heard, over the next few years, the citizenry will be scratching their collective heads, wondering how their politicians did it to them again. Well, here is the memo: It is called forgetting the past. –David R. Tolson, author, scholar
