By October 9th this posting 290,479 people liked this picture, and there were 50,252 shares. In addition there were 6,899 comments including mine posted before 10 am.
That's cool. What is funny or sad is that on Facebook there is more commentary and input for the most trivial of things. To the winds with the important things. This is reflective of the why, and how legislation not for the people is typically passed through Congress into law. It is like distracting a child, a kitten. It is easy and leads towards one outcome. Even in the midst of the outcome there is unawareness. It is astounding, but that is pretty much the way it works. In turn Americans tend to settle in circumstances, simmer in anger, and pray for a Savior, who always looks like, talks like and feels similar to the same ones who got lead us by our silent nods of "OK, whatever." into our confounding national state of affairs. - Gregory E.
