Now This Makes Me PROUD!

The U.S. Wanted to Discuss Iran. Russia Brought Up Black Lives Matter

It was an afternoon of high diplomatic theater that began with a passionate denunciation of Iran’s “oppressive government” by the American ambassador, Nikki R. Haley, and ended with the Iranian ambassador delivering a lengthy history of popular revolt in the United States — from the violent demonstrations at the Democratic National Convention in 1968 to the Occupy Wall Street protests in 2011...

The Russian ambassador, Vasily A. Nebenzya, was more blunt. He asked rhetorically why the Security Council had not taken up the issue of Black Lives Matter protests in Ferguson, Mo., which were at times also met with a violent police response.

“The real reason for convening today’s meeting is not an attempt to protect human rights or promote the interests of the Iranian people, but rather as a veiled attempt to use the current moment to continue to undermine the Iranian deal" - Michael Scipio

Instagram, the value of

Viktoria Odintcova, a Russian model sitting in a park.

Wearing jeans cut off way above her thighs, a black loose fitting t-shirt with a V-cut showing her ample breasts, and tennis shoes, Viktoria Odintcova allowed herself to hang on to the grip of a man 73 stories above the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates dangling in the air to have pictures taken for the 'likes' on her Instagram account. The video features the crew practicing on ground, and then arriving at the Cayan Tower in Dubai to do the real thing (without permission). This is an international problem and she violated laws. The most grievous thing she did was to be socially disrespectful and contemptuous of Arab culture and the rules of safety accepted by nations without exceptions made for 'entitled' people from European countries. Somehow, Europeans and white Americans are snug in their assumptions of exclusivity.

Well, there is another thing not taken into consideration. There are ripple effects. Global economies. The things citizens do in other countries have impact internationally, and during a time of Arabic people's reaction to Western powers she left herself vulnerable in the part of the world who see her in a different light out of a woman's place in their house! Also, an assistant to the chief of police in Dubai said that Viktoria Odintcova “had been summoned to sign an undertaking not to repeat any dangerous moves that could endanger her life in Dubai.” According to Emirati newspaper The National

This young wisp of a woman, Viktoria, "grips a blond helper’s hand as he confidently encourages her to lean away from the top of the 1,000-foot building. As she leans back, her hair flows and her eyes close, and somehow she gets comfortable enough to look serene in images captured by her team. As if that were not enough of a risk, she then gets down on her knees, while still holding the hand of her “spotter” and then gracefully flops off the rails, the guy’s forearm strength the only thing keeping her from plummeting to the ground.

Somehow, she still looks beautiful, with her T-shirt falling off her shoulders, and her sneakers (they’re not even fancy suction-cupped shoes or something high-tech!) kicking about as if she’s just dangling from the side of a pool."

The Russian model is a thrill seeker. She has done other stunts in other parts of the world. Daredevils are not unusual. They are generally found in every culture as variations of the sort in guises such as wildly creative musicians or artists, soldiers of exceptional skill, athletes, politicians, parents, and so forth.  In today's world daredevils like this young woman face a challenge: too much attention immediately and a lack of business acumen. They cannot live invisible lives as we older people all have been able to do in times past. She will probably have her insurance rates increase. Undisciplined or uncaring or not knowing better people like her have to broadcast every adventure of their lives to be liked by total strangers, who either love and admire them, or despise them.

For 'likes' on Instagram, Angela Nikolau, another Russian model who last year in 2017 stepped off the roof of a ridiculously tall building in Guangzhou, China, in an adorable dress and heels! Viktoria Odintcova posed on the edge of a cliff in Sri Lanka, and has also bungee-jumped in Sochi, Russia, with a camera in hand, and prettily posed on the edge of a cliff in Sri Lanka.

Top model Coco Rocha pulled something similar when she balanced in pink heels on a ledge lots of stories up with no strings attached for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Taiwan over the summer. Then she sat on the ledge, saying, “So here we are on set, you think it’s a normal day, until you might be asked to do something like this, and you do it willingly, ’cuz you love the art of fashion,” in her behind-the-scenes video for Instagram. She made sure to add the hashtag #DontTryThisAtHome.

It is childish. It's fun. The urge within them must burn to act out what they envision but the dangers are in the shadows and children raised to be unaware of how things work are easy targets in the vicious political games of terror, exploitation and a few other nefarious ventures. The questions they didn't ask most likely were who would protect them? How do I be disrespectful, and why is it important to have deep knowledge with your dreams?

I HOPE

Having A Deaf Ear To Your Haters and Doubters
By
Dr-Sinclair N. Grey III

If you want to blow up from the floor up, you can't listen to everybody. Let me say it another way. If you're really ready to excel, you can't listen to people who have never been where you want to go. People who never stepped out on faith will give you all kinds of reasons why you shouldn't do what's in your heart. Those aren't the people you need to listen to. As a matter of fact, don't even ask them ...to pray for you because they're not the ones in your corner. Seek out people who have faith, have seen God do the impossible, and believe God has something great for you .

The Bible tells us when God called Abram to leave the familiar and go on a journey, "Abram left, as the LORD had told him..." Please don't miss this. You'll always have haters and doubters. From family members to close friends, there's no way to escape it. However, I urge to trust in the One who called you and know that doors will open for you. You can do it. Stop making excuses and position yourself for God to use you.

IN THE GENESIS OF MY MANHOOD

W O R D S

It is, and has always been care that attracts me to a woman. Without it the first hello did not happen. A heart song would not have developed between the friends, and the women who've become my sisters. I would not have the doctors I have now, and the women close to me would not be close had it not been the care they embodied, and exuded. There are other things, but the care in a woman's hands wafts over me the way wings dance above where the bird intends to land. As slow as hands can move they can vibrate from the speed of a hush to the speed of the Hummingbird's wings. It has always fascinated me how care manifests. Women's care has saved the health and well-being of many a person I was aiming to hurt for good, and I thought, a just cause.

Early in my first marriage Renee and I knew very little about money, taxes, credit and creditors. It was daunting for me forging my way as a 'new' head of household. I frequently woke up in terror envisioning my failure and what it would feel like to be homeless with a wife and children. I didn't have the skill set that attracted large salaries to me. It seemed I was out of place for the times and the area I lived in so I stuck to what provided me with the essentials in life.

I got intangible gifts at my bachelor party. To this day men never associate me, or invite me to party with strippers so I don't get invited to bachelor parties. At my party I received a Bible and sage advise. Larry Fitzgerald, our saxophonist, showed me his pay check. I was stunned at the amount. $40,000! He showed me his bills, and I shuddered. He was paying more out than was coming into his household. He looked in my eyes in his way of speaking, which was always tinged with humor to say, "Don't ever get a credit card. Buy with cash."

A few years of wise spending, and cash transactions we were renting a nice townhouse. We'd never missed a meal, and no one went naked. Our furniture was bought from Budget Furniture, which was owned by Chief Billy Tayac of the Piscataway nation on Suitland Road in Suitland, Maryland across from the US Census building. His family had built rapport with the surrounding communities and many struggling Blacks, poor whites, and later Hispanic families got their first credit starts, and their house furniture from Chief Billy Tayac and his son, Mark.

Eventually, we got an American Express card. I used it sparingly paying up in full within the first 30 days. We got the card when a financial adviser commended us on our monetary discipline pointing out how little of our income was in the red. But, he chided us, no he ridiculed our insistence to not get caught trapped in the credit game. He was a harsh man, and the name creditors gave to people like Renee, and I stung. This system holds in disdain anyone who disciplines themselves financially without going into the credit game. There was non-complimentary name for us. That hurt, and then it angered me.

Certain weekends we'd rent a car and purchase whatever we needed, and afterwards I'd gas up my rental, and lose myself in the back roads of Maryland. With the windows wide open and the wind blowing through  I'd speed and explore until sunset. It was exhilarating. One day I miscalculated and found myself in credit card debit. Then the devil came.

I hated every moment of that ordeal. It came to a head when I came home one afternoon, and my wife was devastated and in tears because the man calling us about our debt had said things to her that crushed and humiliated her. Over money? I didn't fight for or over money. I still don't, but that was the last straw. I told her to put me on the phone when he called again and that call came quickly. The brother was enjoying his role. We had words, and I filled with dark rage. I told him I was coming after him. He scoffed at the notion and said more of the wrong words.

When I hung up I put my right fist through the glass of my bookcase. I didn't bother to dress the wounds. I set out walking the distance through the woods to the subway station, rode the train to Silver Spring, Maryland, got out and walked a short distance to an anonymous building, took an elevator to their secret location, walked in the office, and a woman asked, "How can I help you."

"I am looking for Mr._ !"

The Black man behind her with a handful of papers turned from the copier and started to extend a greeting, but froze in terror and surprise when I said, "I am Mr. Woods."

He glanced at my bloody hand. I went over the counter for him. He ran with a high pitched sound of terror in his voice. Right behind him I was silent, relentless and full of dark menace. I was hunting and had found my prey. Nothing was going to save him until a woman stepped between me and the fleeing man.

"How can I help you, sir?"

I looked up the length of an unbelievably fine Black woman's body and into the landscape of her eyes, and the beast within me shivered, and began to snort a bit, and rest itself. I couldn't believe her presence and how calm and beautiful she was. Her composure did not shed at the sound of my angry voice. Instead she looked at my right hand and said, "Oh, you hurt yourself. You're bleeding." She held my hand gently and led me into the men's bathroom, and washed my hand carefully in a studied silence. The blood, now dried, moistened in the water and left trails of blood and dirt down the slope of the bowl as she carefully picked glass out of my hand. Her soft voice got my story out. My voice had lost its menace so gentle was her touch, and so aroused I was by her command, her sensuous nature, her touch that the danger within her  halted the danger within me.

Back in her office she sat at her desk and crossed her legs my direction. I lost my breath, and almost fainted  looking at her legs. They were smooth, brown, and suggested an impeccability I'd not noticed until seated facing her. I was done.

"I was no more good." as Black Southerners often say.

There was no more fight left in me. I became compliant and agreed with everything she suggested. I believed then, and I do understood she knew exactly what she was doing to me. How to distract and tame the savage beast was her art. Her form was the compelling assemblage point for me that aroused, caressed  understood, held me, and made me safe from the dangerous and fierce beast within me.

An amicable arrangement was made that simplified paying American Express off, and she encouraged me not to continue with the company. She had bought our debt, she revealed. She gave me a brief tutorial on the insidious nature of the credit system, and assured me she'd take care of her employee.

"You will never hear from him again." she said.

She, as was my wife, and the others who heard this story at the time didn't understand how I knew the location of that office. I never told how I did it because the moment the words hunter came into my mouth people's faces blanked out. Not everything is for everybody. The prey has a scent and leaves an impression.

LOOK FOR A WIFE

Russian woman looking for a husband is what the entire site is about on Facebook. It is interesting a thing to ponder at my age because during the Cold War Russian and German women were presented to American audiences in the movies as hard, muscular and mannish women devoid of tenderness. The propaganda of the era and of the US government was adamant about portraying Russian culture as bleak with no color save greys. Today with the fall of Communism, and the rise of pseudo empires of crime and a struggling government there seems to be a transformation. The perception of Russian women is coming from the Western influence, and the casual attitudes of sexuality seems to have sprung onto cyberspace the way hidden species unravel from the mysterious places they hide.

I am not looking for a wife. I learned a long time ago not to look for what you need, but to be prepared for what you need. Old Man used to tell me not to look for a wife amongst mistresses. It is good advise to internalize, young man.

HOPE IS NOT ACTION

Hoping to be married one day this Russian woman posted her picture on a site  that raises questions about its integrity. Many people do that innocently, raising questions about their integrity. Those questions can get in the way of yutheir objectives, but reveal who they are in the moment. Who one is is an evolving question, and a simple answer. The simple answer is we are who we are right now and who we will become, or envision ourselves becoming.

Love is an action. What we put into any project, any endeavor comes from the basis of our belief, the structure of our inner stories, and the fabric of our being attracting either beneficial or malefic spirits into our sphere. There are many things to develop and ask for in the steps towards matrimony, but often men and women live by the fantasy of their mnds to avoid the depth of an undertaking that will transport them into the deepest riddles of existence." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 8.14.13

She said, "I am from Russia, and I am looking for a husband." Pretty vague isn't it. Many of us are not clear about our intentions. What we want is difficult to say because we want to believe all is possible, but shutter at the prospect of failing. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 8.14.13

ELIZABETH IN RED

Small points of interests in the psychological effect of high esteem are easily seen as crystals within an aura, a body, in the countenance of a person, and in the eyes. The healing effect of boycotting the hysteria around being superficial is merely a step in the right direction. It is not enough to know when enough is enough. It is enough to become conscious, but the increase of personal powers is in the healing process one submits one's Self to do the work of undoing. This is hard to do.

Growing up during the Red Scare of the 1950's & the 1960's was as challenging as the first two decades of the 21st century with the constant propaganda against the United State's ever changing enemies. One of the images the war machine plays with is the image of a nation's women, and how they are perceived is always used against them, and it could be any characteristic that at any other time would be endearing. Coming up Russian women were always depicted as mannish in men's clothes. Their hair was severely wrestled into tight buns on the back of their heads, or under stern hats in muted colors to match their outfits, and accent their muscular calves.

Russia is no longer a threat to world peace, or to the US sense of dominance so the images of their women are like flowers coming out in the springtime after a long winter of discontentment. - Gregory E. Woods 5.12.13

APPEAL ACROSS THE BORDERS

I am a Russian woman looking for companionship.

This one cat, Stefano looked at you once and said, "Tall, brunette, long legs, round face. Can I have a phone number please?" It was a spontaneous reaction to you, and how you come across and against a perception about Russian women. Said with honest astonishment his words could easily not come across as a line.  Stefano is a younger man. Good for him. He is probably unaware of how, and how long Russian women were depicted as mannish men/women with no sex drive, or appeal during the Cold War. Good for him. The old images can fade, and young people can refine love, and its definition for their time and their needs. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 8.31.13

The phrase, 'meditate upon the peace of growth' came to me when my son, Lemuel was born. Each of my children gave me words from the other side of the wombs they lived in. The urgency and anticipation of their lives in their mothers, and the way their mothers looked and felt mediated my apprehensions. The children's entries into this world was harsh because of the hard lights, the firm tones of people, the coldness of the air and the lack of water. For the baby touch was important, and the feel of plastic gloves should have been disorienting!  As quick as possible the babies went to the mothers embrace. In Andrew's case (my second son)there were songs in the air from the other world he'd come from!  - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 8.30.13
