Pristine Edge is a tiny little thing. With wonder or regret how does she determine the quality of her life, of Life and how does she fits within the scheme of things? The answers remain, in essence, a riddle of existence. -Heart Song Stone Man [7/22/78]

Susan Sarandon's beauty rest deep within...

To a teachable Spirit

Sepia woman contemplating

The story of the heart is often told in actions, and stances reveal what ails, or exalts one's spirit. The strong body of knowledge isn't the safest place to find solace. The mind will trick you into not submitting to the heart song that knows the truth unable to lie to vanity. City life can alienate the busy person, the lonely, the successful, and the homeless making their heart songs feel like voids one atop the other. It is illusion. Who we are and what we need is within us and reflects in the perceptions others have of us. Answers are everywhere. Solutions abound. It is lifestyles we chose that separate us from the truth of who we are.

SEEING SHADOWS OR GHOSTS???

The realms are opening to you. There are rules and expectations. One thing: develop a good spiritual practice. One world is similar to other worlds in that math and law govern each. At the level of creation each world harbors its secrets, its gifts, and its facility with power, and what powerful gifts and lessons are from soul to soul. There are hierarchies, and there is space between worlds held together by stories come together in agreement. The questions are always who are you? What are  your gifts? Why are you here and alive, and what is your Medicine?

Relationships exist in all worlds, and invitations have to be considered and weighed. So the questions one could ask if other worlds are opening up to him or her is: who am I? How do I love, and what shields do I need to consciously wear in the unknown? How is my impeccability? What is the story in my heart, and of my heart? What do I know, or not know? What is truth?

There are many things to consider, and then there is only one: your heart. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 5.13.13

ROSE

Beauty's song
from Telma's galleries

MY MOTHER'S SONG IN ME

I am most compelled in my spirit to tell what Rose told me years ago about her origins. But online? No. It is the most inappropriate place to tell, in depth, the most sacred stories outside of the sacred circles, or lodge ceremonies.

This photograph captures the essence of a creation story worthy of its dignity and place within the beautiful  parts of Soul. The embodiment of Spirit that rest upon and within Innocence and Grace is the admiration and the adoration of Earth to Sky and Man to his Woman. It is in the song of our Heart of Hearts and the stories of our Minds telling us what Innocence and Innovation mean in the moment of Time's distinct quality of being a part of something Divine and Holy: Eternity, Service and Care. - Heart Song Stone Man 3.28.13

HER above within. . .

SHE
... more human than angelic the celestial power of suggestion fit right in with the notion of merging with her spirit. To part her legs he stopped short between the notion and touching her hearing her question to him, "Will you be man for me?" - Heart Song Stone Man 2.19.13

hand held heart

There is the intense drama and contribution of our souls, and the unction of spiritual connections between time and space and the unseen worlds we agreed to emerge from in every kiss with the twin of our souls, and mate to our souls. The questions beg to be asked:

"How many souls can our Being merge with another?"
"Can  we truly love in all the directions our spirit is called to and from?"
"With whom do we merge?"
"How many souls, and bodies do we have??

These questions of existence are they proof of our identity as sacred beings? Do these probing insights into who we are live as testaments to the permanence of intangibles that follow us from lifetime to lifetime? Do the answers shape our entry into the other worlds when we die? Gregory E. Woods3.31.13

INNOCENT WATERS

sacred i am

"I feel it too. I always have. The feel and the pull of innocence lives so deeply within a body. It is precious in the sight of the beholder. It is precious in a child. Virginity, the taste of good food eaten gratefully, play, the innocent freedom of child's play, and not being crass, or mean are all the attributes of freedom and the composition of freedom is sewn by innocent hands.

The violation of the principles of protection by adults is a harsh and cruel let down for innocent children dependent upon their adults. Teenagers hear all the time how much contempt is leveled at girls and boys who seek to maintain their innocence by Chasity, abstinence, or good behavior. Their deep feelings of innocence are inarticulate spirits, it seems, that the violated adults surrounding them are stung by. Perhaps the memories of a man, or a woman's loss spur the actions of the predator from hibernation into action? The inability of hurt adults to find refuge and validation from wounded childhoods in communities, churches and amongst people turns the precious into envy and scorn.

How sad. How sad for the children who give up their innocence, or denounce it to make others feel good about themselves." - Alowan Chanteh Inyan Wichasha 2.19.13

missing pieces from the Protector's Heart

"A country is the soul of a People, and soul sickness ails Americans. The white man told his story of contempt of the world through the stories he created around the waters that broke in his woman's womb. He spoke of the rivers and saw her blood and found it void of what acquisition needed. His paradoxes kill the world as surely as his fear of and actions against the essence of the Female, the Womb, the Waters, and the Air, and the Earth, our Mother kill the woman...".

This is your words, Gregory, and i am obsessed with this paragraph! talk to me. expound. expand. preach. teach. (calling on that access i got.) cause really, people would pay much money to have this conversation---hear what you got to say." - Jennifer

"Well, Jennifer, First, tell me what you felt, and perhaps the conversation will lead to the subject of balance. How do we balance ourselves with truth? Do we insist on vacillating between lies, and fear to convince ourselves we don't need to be truthful about the outcome of our beliefs? It is a good question one of several we will discover animals have been asking the Creator of us."  - Gregory 1.18.13

BALANCE

Flora « Hegre Art Porn « Nude Pictures
Balance the elements that separate us, change the dialogue we have with ourselves, feel the right  thing in the right moment to know what the moment has to offer and what you have to offer to the internal dialogue that separated the two of you in the beginning.

The sexual connections are a unit of measuring the spirit. Sexual union is a point to ascend to from attraction to conversation  and once there the heavens of the proverbial high plateaus of conscious awareness come alive. Springing forward in due season is the tide of evidence that convinced us to be separate. But with our fluids mingled there is no tide, and the era of discovery begins with fresh faces aglow. The orgasm plunged each into the abyss of above, not below. It is a magical and powerful thrust into other realms of being between two previously angry and entangled souls now copulating and relating to the internal powers of soul and mind that are now active and mindful of the bondage they've been freed from. Now you can now play.

Sex binds and liberates a man to a woman and woman within a man while he is inside her is the deepest commitment that starts the trajectories into the planes above existence, and mysticism that loves him to her and her to him. Logic bases itself during sexual exploration when the spirit is freed to move about the way it does when asleep and the body cannot conquer it or persuade it to not see, or create. Sex is the Creator we come from and who we are together defining so many things through the prisms love, commitment and sex induce. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

SOUL EXPRESSIONS: formless

Soul Expressions

RECOLLECTION of….

“... and so we flowed from one place to another free and unaware of what could constrict our play, our movement. Looking back there was only the immediate. The moments meant for the moment had layers and existed as unfoldings. It was fun. It was the most incredible of emotions to have that we could not take into our terrestrial bodies when we found out what two people were going to give us life on Earth.

I remember with fondest those long expanses of wideness, and how hard it was to fit our memory of endlessness into time.” ~ Heart Song Stone Man 1.19.13

from the hood a GODDESS ??

Black Goddess Stiletto

“There is something compelling about the spirit of the word Goddess. It is a deep shifting movement within the consciousness awakening much more than the trivia of naming oneself to be ‘special’, or unique. In the context of individuality taking on a name such as the Goddess is beyond selling good looks, pretty legs, and whatnot. I say all this to ask why you chose to call yourself a Goddess not as criticism, but as a query into your thinking. The title “Goddess” or “Diosa”, in Spanish, is serious. Connecting a sacred title with Stilettos is unique, but what does it mean to you?” - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 12.10.12

Natural beauty supersedes the pretense of making up an image with another cultures' contribution to the personal process of becoming, of discovering who you are as a Black American woman. It is difficult. If the backgrounds you've chosen to represent you have any accuracy it is safe to say you are struggling financially, and environmentally seeking a way out of where you live, and find yourself dreaming of becoming you.

What does it mean my reflections, and assertions, or guess into who you are and may aspire to be? Is it intrusive? I apologize, but don’t back up and not make a contribution to your development in some small way. As a father, and as a man it is fitting to point ways out of where you are towards the direction(s) you wish to go.  Your photos tell me stories.

Any man can make obvious observations about you, but the soul, yours, tells stories in all you do. You are no different from any of us in this respect. What is your soul’s story? What is your Heart Song? It is important to know it, and if you do, and few don’t, the first step into the light of your Being is in the meditations of your heart, and care of your Womb!” – Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

SHE IN I

She
She lives in so many dreams. Many concepts of reality and purity come from her songs, and the music she creates is a Muse generally accepted as holy. - Heart Song Stone Man

 A story I tell

One day she and I played together before a thought interrupted the streams of colors and sensations. The smell of that room was a little musty, but it was a warm feeling mingling with the sounds of the harp, and the pleasant feeling of being above clouds and near the top of the highest Tree of Life I remember most. We were in another world that reminded us children of what it was like before we came here to be children.

"Our play imagined our play."

Parents thought that, but we knew the exact measurement between being the children of our parents' understanding, and being children from somewhere else. - Heart Song Stone Man 2.19.13

to MERGE

"If only we try to live sincerely, it will go well with us, even though we are certain to experience real sorrow, and great disappointments, and also will probably commit great faults and do wrong things, but it certainly is true, that it is better to be high-spirited, even though one makes more mistakes, than to be narrow-minded and all too prudent. It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love, is well done."~*~ Denny Hutchison

RED HEARTS

Grandfather Bear-Tata Oso, an Apache- Mexika Medicine Man said the following words while leading a Sweat Lodge, Inipi, or Temascal Ceremony.“I am proud to call myself an Indio (Indian). I am an Indian. I am a Red Man, Yo soy Indio, Yo soy Hombre Rojo”.

These words were spoken in the Ceremony on the Aguaje de La Tuna Kumyaii Indian Reservation near Tecate B.C., Mexico, at the Spring EquinoxCeremon
y in March 2012.

There were about 30 people in the sweat lodge including men, women and children. The leader of the sweat lodge, Grandfather Bear-Tata Oso, said the following: “There are some that think the word Indio (Indian) is a bad word and that we should call ourselves Native Americans or other words. This is not true,

“A mi la palabra Indio quiere decir “En Dios.” “To me, the word Indio means “in God.”

There are some in here that are Indios (Indians) and have Red Hearts. There are some in here that are Indios (Indians) that have White Hearts. There are some White People in here that have Red Hearts. There are White people with White Hearts; however, none of them are with us. What do we mean by that? Creator created 4 colors or races of man. These are the 4 colors of maiz (corn) : red, white, yellow and black. The color of the skin makes no difference because we are all created equal by Creator.

The Lakota say “Mitakuye Oyasin” (all my relations). We are all one in the eyes of the Great Mystery, Creator, Wantan Tanka, and Ometeotl. We are all a small part of Creator. The color of the skin is meaningless. The color of the Heart is a different thing.

The Indio (Indian) with a Red Heart remembers that he or she belongs to the Earth and the Earth does not belong to them. The Indio remembers that he was placed and on Earth to care for the Earth, her water, air, the skin or surface including the rocks, the mountains and the mineral resources of Earth, the plants, the animals, the birds, the fish and the creepy crawly ones that are all part of Mother Earth and each other.

The Way of the Red Heart is the way of peace. It is a way of caring for and respecting all our Brothers and Sisters on Earth. The people with Red Hearts also respect all the elements of Mother Earth: air, water, fire and the earth herself.

The Way of the White Heart is the way of greed, the destruction of Earth for short-term gain and war. It is a way of materialism.

The White Heart says “I own that piece of property, that car, that home, whatever.” Those with White Hearts say that they own the air space, water, and land. They say “We can build large, high fences to keep the Indio and anyone we do not like out. We are superior to them.”

The Indio with a Red Heart says “Creator owns that piece of property. It is mine to care for.” There is a very marked lack of possessiveness among those with the Red Heart.

The White Heart teaches that one should distrust or even despise anyone with a different color of skin, different language, different culture or different religion (particularly non-Christian religions) and immigrants.

The Red Heart realizes that We Are All One and that we are all a small part of the Creator of the Universe. We are not separate.
The people of the Red heart live in a hoop, a circle. No one stands in front of them, no one stands behind them, and no one stands above or below them. All are one and equal.

“The time has come,” say the Elders of the Red Men, “to release the teachings of Red Road (La Via Roja) to all people. We need to teach all about the Red Heart of love, compassion, peace, trust, caring for all people”.

This is extremely important at this time since the rising of the Fifth Sun – The Return of Light is occurring now. The New Sun is gradually arising and shining on Earth at this time. This is the year The Return of Light. In order to enter the Fifth World or the Fifth Sun, we must cultivate the Red Heart. It is our choice. The time is now to decide.

The Via Roja the Red Road is the ONLY way to survive the troubles that we on Earth face at this time.

Many Indios or Red Men have forgotten who they are and why they are on Earth. They have developed White Hearts. Their hearts are filled with greed, jealousy, envy and materialism. Many Red Men are discovering who they really are and why they are on Earth at this time. They are becoming Beings of Light.

Many White, Black and Yellow people are also discovering the Red Way. They are learning that they have Red Hearts and are letting their lights shine.

This is not a Religion. This is a Spiritual Teaching. The Red Road has Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and members of many other religions as participants.

Many indigenous groups in all parts of the world follow the Red Road and have for generations. This is not to say that indigenous cultures cannot be greedy, patriarchal or warlike peoples. Some are.

The Red road does not require that you participate in Native American Ceremonies or wear Indian cloths. It is a way of the heart. As soon as enough lights shine, darkness will disappear from Earth.

The Light we have been awaiting for so long is returning! A glorious World is emerging!

We are the people we have been waiting for!
We are the people we have been expecting!

We need each other...

"I don't discount the heart songs of people. The heart knows itself, but in the work of reconciliation there are some rules. There is a transitory phase the predator and the prey pass through. It is very much like a valley between mountains. Quite often whites leap over this part with sweeping words and story that plays on emotions.

Do we ever hear Indians or Blacks publicly declaring "I have a white heart." The torment on and in the souls of people of color is fresh, and it never helps the way whites step in that pain with the same energy body that conquered into other people's identity and ceremonies. Many of us are so screwed up and hurting we go on automatic and in survival mode do things whites mistake as a passing comment, frivolous gesture. I don't think I have to go into detail, but on behalf of the many who aren't as articulate it has to be said. Reconciliation work between the races does not have full participation because most whites are incapable of a few things we all need if we are to eventually become a family, and sadly step out of the way hoping not to be called upon...

Dorothy Height, at Coretta Scott's funeral summed it the best. "The White man needs the Black man to help him with his guilt. The Black man needs the White man to help him with his fear."

We need each other. This work of reconciliation upon the Medicine Wheels is sacred, but it is hard and challenging. It is far beyond cliches and trying to make whites feel good about themselves in exchange for what we sacrifice by not sacrificing for the sake of our souls and our generations!

These are my words." -Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

Heart Song Stone Man

I've been on a short road trip with my wife, and when I travel I don't get on computers, and talking on the phone is rare. I don't own a cell phone. The phones don't live up to their assertions about connecting. It has added another dimension to disconnection I never anticipated as possible to an already disconnected population.  That little side step from the topic at hand has a lot to do with our on going discussion, but it is relevant to the questions you posed.

My work with the process of Rites-of-Passage is a natural offshoot from the upbringing I had with its attendant initiations and the ceremonies that got me here at this stage of life. I have been working as a Rites-of-Passage facilitator for some years now. If someone is looking for a title I could easily be called a ceremonial hunter. I spent many years honing a skill set in the forest tracking, stalking wild dogs, and other animals. I learned a great deal about covenant, death, risk, movement, space, stillness, time, eternity, ceremony, the hunt, etc. in those years applicable to various facets of modern life.

I have children. Four. The youngest child, a boy, is 18 years old. Two are in their early thirties, and my youngest daughter is in her late 20's. I think she is 28. I don't remember things like that easily. It is the moments I immerse myself into that renders the obsessions with clocks outside of my range of interests into shadows... - Gregory E. SACRED STORY

photo: julianna margulies with baby

"I pointed towards the sky as the daylight thinned out on the darkening horizon. The wings of large birds lifted eagles and hawks, pelicans and other smaller birds into the air and beyond.

A clap of thunder smote chests of living breathing men and the women around them burst into songs. The last chorus collapsed the sun into darkness and night life began to move upon the land.

Sun Flight is a precious entity. Darkness is a presence teaching the light to come boldly from the shadow of fears and restraint…

I never knew what happened to the man who didn’t rise with the next day, but the women’s songs modulated into deep longings and even deeper joy…" Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories, Heart Song Stone Man
