MANHOOD TEACHING # 4

PART 4

“Pedestals are dangerous, precarious perches better suited for birds. Pedestals are subject to the whims of the direction and mood of the four winds. Ideals don't only live in high places. They are directed to live in common areas accessible to the four common fears of people, and the dreams of young and old, alike. Ideals travel in the air alongside the stories we all agree to be bound by in our families, towns, and countries of birth.

To obtain an ideal place is a work always in progress. To lay hold to an ideal requires a humility that brings clarity to the mess of inconsistencies within the stories we hold as truths. It takes too much effort to hold someone, or an ideal on a pedestal. Pedestals are out of reach because it is safer than the battlefields of ideologies, and dogma that needs to be right!” –Dawn Wolf

REPARATIONS

I have an unpopular rejection of the notion of reparations for African-Americans. It is based on the relationship with money Black Americans have with money in part, and on the self-knowledge Blacks carry within. Whites in power, and in general, respect power, and Black Americans consciously have not negotiated with power, wrestled honestly enough with its implications, and hold a set of paradigms that do not garner the respect of nations.

If money is given to Black Americans it would be pissed away, and deepen the contempt millions around the globe hold for us because of what we present to the world as a people. There isn't enough to express it all, but would you give money to a people that justify being called niggers? -Gregory E. Woods

MASHANTUCKET PEQUOT

The Mashantucket Pequot Indian were the people the English slaughtered and later nearly destroyed. This happened four hundred years ago. In the 1970's this tribe was reduced to a small spit of land where two women were the sole caretakers. As the Pequot tell their story in their museum, (which my wife and I visited on their land) an African-Mashantucket Pequot Indian had the messianic vision, and ability to win the congressional battles that got their Federal recognition, and began a process of obtaining the legal rights to more and more of their traditional land. Their casino, although the state of Connecticut puts small effort in promoting it, is prosperous.

The thrust of my point is the simple but profound. Were it not for the African the Mashantucket Pequot Indian would not be. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories (novembre 2009)

ZSA ZSA GABOR

Kudrow and Cramer are selfish shits

This guy is proof positive that there is class warfare occurring in the USA. The first few times I watched his show I was wondering who actually watched it and what they took away from it. His show is for the super rich. Nothing wrong with that, except that they are spoiled, criminal, only out for themselves, and worse, sitting on the sidelines watching the rest of us go up in flames. The investor class. He uses that term. It is a show for MBA's who create create, not wealth for all of us, but wealth for the wealthy. The MBA's who invented the financial systems which were unregulated and created their wealth at our expense. Kudrow is a fraud.

There is a huge difference between an American, an honest tax paying citizen, and these selfish bastards. They talk about creating wealth as if it is good for all of us. And then they spend millions of dollars on lawyers and consultants in order to avoid their responsibility in paying their share of taxes. . So how does their acquiring wealth have a positive effect on Society? It does not. And as bad as their not paying taxes is, the thing which pisses me off even more is this sitting while Rome burns. I sort of understand what investing entails. You want to make a profit. What I mean by stating that they are spoiled is that it is the lack of investment which demands that the Government place capitol in the banks.

The investors hate this. They call it Socialism. But they wont do it and it absolutely has to be done. They won't do it because there is no guarantee that they will make loot. They want to know that there is profit in their investments. The insanity of them sitting on trillions of dollars which should be invested is beyond shameful. Itis immoral. And it is not something that Kudrow would discuss on his show. The fact is that they create the markets. They create demand for stocks and they create the losses. It is a kind of Catch 22. They grip about the Governments interference, but won't invest, creating the need for the very infusion of money they bitch about. They bitch about Fannie and Freddie but were quite happy to exploit them. They lobbied, and continue to lobby ,for the end to regulation, and bitch about the laws which were passed to make home buying easier. It seems to me that if the two concepts had coincided we would have had increased home ownership with out this nightmare. by Mike Keough
