"Washington DC has long been known as Chocolate City. Much to the chagrin of women across the nation DC's Black women are of a kind and kilt without the angst over weight that is a socially acceptable diatribe. In short, one becomes used to their expressions of pride, and re-affirmations of power, and their sense of self that is intensely connected to an African sense of self. It is a deep thing more fully appreciated away from this city."
