"At this stage of a child's life a child would slowly over time loses the magic of his life by the lack of return of joy and an inquisitive nature from the conditions of being a slave child, the limited time to play, and worse the lack of love needed to match soul to life..." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 5.12.16

Angela Davis, elder statesman, scholar, political activist

"I’ve been involved in the campaign to save Assata’s life for all of those decades. And now, of course, as there are new openings with respect to Cuba, we welcome the end of the embargo, the blockade, but at the same time we have to be attentive to what this might mean for Assata Shakur, given that there is $2 million reward on her head, that she has been designated as one of 10 most dangerous terrorists in the country." ~ Angela Davis

Indigenous Youth Ambassador to the United Nations
May 9, 2016

Today is my first day away from the UNPFII sessions, it's also my first day of my new appointment as the Indigenous Youth Ambassador to the United Nations at the High -level "sustaining peace mechanism, partnerships, and the future of peace building in Africa" for the NGO "New Future Foundation".

I will be addressing concerns and new solutions to the Security Council on implementation of indigenous and global education and how to utilize traditional and cultural mechanisms to sustain global peace. I'm humbly honored to have received this new appointment here at the U.N.
