As Hurricane Florence churned toward the Carolinas, President Trump on Thursday diverted attention from the government’s preparations for the monster storm to his personal grievances over last year’s Hurricane Maria by falsely claiming a conspiracy to inflate the death toll in Puerto Rico.

Trump drew immediate rebukes from Democrats as well as some Republicans for denying a sweeping study, which was accepted by Puerto Rican authorities, estimating that there were 2,975 “excess deaths” on the island in the six months after ­Maria made landfall. Providing no evidence, Trump incorrectly alleged that Democrats raised the death toll “in order to make me look as bad as possible.”

The Trump administration came under sharp criticism for its recovery efforts after Maria, which devastated the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico in September 2017, despite the president’s insistence this week that his handling of Maria was an “incredible, unsung success.”... 

Insight from a Liar.

Today, during the Congressional hearings centered around Michael Cohen he answered Rep. Jim Cooper's question with these words: "... and I can only warn people. The more people that follow Mr. Trump, as I did blindly, are going to suffer the same consequences that I am suffering!"

Mr. Cooper asked: "What warning would you give young people, who are tempted as you were. Would you encourage them not to wait ten years to see the light? What advise would you give young people, in particular young lawyers, so they do not abuse their bar license, as you did?"

Cohen spoke from deep within for this answer.

"Look at what's happening to me. I had a wonderful life. I have a beautiful wife. I have two amazing children. I achieved financial success by the age of 39. I didn't go to work with Mr. Trump because I had to. I went to work for him because I wanted to, and I've lost it all. So, if I'm not a picture perfect..." He glanced to his left pointing to something out of camera range which I assume was a derogatory statement in large black print about him hanging on the wall behind the panel before him, and continued:

"That's the picture that should be up there. If I am not a picture perfect example of what not to do that's the example I'm trying to set for my children. You make mistakes in life, and I've owned them, and I've taken responsibility for them, and I am paying a huge price, as is my family. So, if that in and of itself isn't enough to dissuade somebody from acting in the callous manner that I did. I'm not sure that person has any chance very much like I am in right now." - Gregory E. The actor, James Dean, amongst other young white men, famous for their fashionable aloofness, their rebellious attitudes, set the tone of disenchantment with the 'Establishment' (as expressed in the 1960's). Motorbikes were symbols of rebellion since the 1950's, and into the 1970's as the myth of white disenchantment became more and more violent until organization skills turned motorcycle gangs into business aligned with the mythology, and value system of colonization, conquest and terror their ancestors invested in and employed. 

The recycling of ideologies is composed to continue to stir violence in white American blood. Donald Trump is deeply intuned to its byproducts, its presence and his duty to white Americans, and their sense of global dominance.

Nobody is up this time of day at the beginning of another year. We were asleep other years. Let us hope this has changed. Maybe this will be the "Year of the Dawning of Awareness"!!! 

OK. That was funny. Americans love the slumber of their awareness, and enjoy a non-relationship with intellectual prowess, and have some kind of pride in not being at a high level in their thinking about global responsibility. Their actions demonstrating the juvenile discontent they believe makes them forceful is associated, in their minds, with national pride. It is the strangest thing, but it is very white American!

Contradictions over Time.

Kim Kardashian West is worth $175 million dollars in 2018. What she is really worth is in the realm of perception, high intelligence, and a knack for fitting into a hard world for women without the compromises ordinary women make to survive. It is a far cry, this reality for her, from the days of Europe's dark age, and from the Armenian massacre over a hundred years ago! For those two people is their reconciliation between the two cultures of her bloodlines, and marriage to a Black American man? This is a blood question only she can answer; we can only speculate, or judge her on this note.

What is it for us and the ancestry of our peoples we need to recognize and work with, and work through? Kim Kardashian West married an eccentric and gifted man whom she seems to understand and definitely loves. "How do we love?" is the more important question, and perhaps the best place to start a study of a person. But, that is not how people begin their assessments of each other, nor is it a place immaturity leaves a person!

Immaturity is a major factor in American culture. It is the financial support of reality stars, and it is foundational to President Trump's appeal, and is part of the spell he holds over his followers. For Mrs. West this works one way in the entertainment world; for the nation as a whole this fixation with immaturity is a facet of the political  and moral manipulation of America's sub-conscience. As a force, immaturity goes about its business with little fear of being corrected. It is a drug of the sort that does not hesitate to implode because it is forever trusting in its revival. Immaturity leads public perception directing inaction so skillfully millions of Americans have lost the reason it takes to be a major force in the complex world of global politics. These citizens rely on the cruelness of people like Trump who cannot fathom how and why the pieces that hold nations together needs a high level of education in many disciplines and deep respect for Life, in all its forms!

White people are at the center of this trauma in America. This is their creation we are conditioned to, their dichotomy entangled in our ancestral lines, and we of the darker hue are in this with a deeper responsibility. We are the carriers of what needs to be done to undo this mess. Our spiritual responsibilities have depth in the intuition of what eludes us: the truth, and those truths bath in the bloodletting of this nation's past and present.

That Painting of Trump Having a Diet Coke With Abraham Lincoln Is Now Hanging in the White House

President Donald Trump liked a painting of him having drinks with Abraham Lincoln, Richard Nixon and Teddy Roosevelt so much that he called the artist on the phone and then put a print of it in the White House.

Called “The Republican Club,” the print of 10 Republican presidents sitting around a table could be seen briefly in the background of Trump’s interview with “60 Minutes” Sunday, and an image of that moment went viral on social media.

As all this was playing out, Andy Thomas was at his home in Carthage, Mo., watching the Kansas City Chiefs play the New England Patriots on TV while working on a painting of a train robbery in the Old West. (It’s a favorite subject of his: “Lots of horses, lots of action.”)

Thomas’ phone began to ring, as friends reached out to tell him, but he assumed they were just pollsters asking about the Missouri Senate race. Finally, his wife came down to show him on the computer.

“I was ecstatic,” he told TIME afterward. “A lot of times gifts aren’t really hung up, they’re just pushed in a closet somewhere. To find out it’s actually hanging is really a treat.”

It’s unclear how the print made its way into the White House, but Thomas said Republican Rep. Darrell Issa of California had told him recently that he’d be showing it to Trump.

Thomas is not a very political person, but he’d done a portrait of Issa a few years ago and the two have kept in touch. But he was surprised two weeks ago when he came in from mowing the lawn and his wife and business partner, Dina, told him that Trump would be calling shortly.

“He basically said, ‘most portraits of me I really don’t like,'” Thomas said. “And he’s right. He’s hard to paint. There’s some bad ones out there.”

As he often does, Trump then asked Thomas how he was doing as president and what his friends and neighbors think about him, as well as how he thinks the heated Senate race between Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill and pro-Trump Republican Josh Hawley will end.

Thomas said he was a bit surprised at that turn in the conversation.

“I’m thinking, ‘I’m a damn artist, what is he asking me about this for?'” he recalled.

As a cowboy painter who dabbles in presidential portraits, Thomas said it was nice to hear back from one of his subjects directly. He’d once met a cousin of Bill Clinton’s who told him, secondhand, that he liked the portrait, and Richard Nixon’s niece once praised his painting.

But Thomas was proud that Trump had recognized the work he put into one of the toughest parts of the painting: the president’s smile.

He said he’s found that some presidents have a natural smile: Ronald Reagan, Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Barack Obama. But others, like Trump, have more of a forced campaign smile that doesn’t look right in a painting. He found it particularly hard to get Nixon right the first time he painted him.

To get Trump’s smile, Thomas said he looked at thousands of photos.

“Trump has that one thing where he sticks his chin up and smiles really big, and it’s great for a caricature but not necessarily flattering to him,” he said. “I had to find a photo where it looked like he’s actually heard something funny, so it looks like a genuine smile.”

One of the puzzling things about white Americans I have noticed and puzzled over is this: Excellence in Black Americans was often a surprise, and deeply resented! In translation of how they feel about and how they react to Blacks excelling where they (whites) have believed no Colored could excel is brutality. President Barack Obama is experiencing the backlash of committing to excellence my parents predicted would happen to any one of us. In the short months after his presidency white backlash turns on itself and they begin to undo the quality of their lives to make a point. As millions of whites rejoice in Trump ravaging the legacy of Mr. Obama there is a lessening of the power of American dominance in the world-at-large. I don't need to point out any one thing. It just sits there as sad evidence.

White Boys, Drinking & Violence

The climate of the white school Kavanaugh went to in the DC area was, and is exactly how Dr. Christine Blasey Ford described. It was and is a very loud way of life among those white kids up to and in college. Many Black and Hispanic parents, myself included, steer our children from them during celebratory events like football games, parades; anything to do with patriotism because their propensity towards violence unwinds with beer, and liquor unwinds a violence they believe has a right to out in the open. 

I won't share my negative encounters, but many have similar stories in this area of encounters with white boys, and white men with the same belief systems. The way the white boys compress this is familiar to our ancestors. How we protect our grandchildren changes as the laws white men change our focus on where they might be designing life for us with violence, not that far away.  

Kavanaugh can't face the women offended by his terror inspired disregard for their well being. Men and women of this persuasion can't feel the weight and the pain of this history for fear it will attach itself upon their livelihoods. It does despite emotional denial as this power they harness empowers the history of terrorism without words, but a distinctive feeling known all too well by those of us not of that group of men. - Gregory E. Small Gesture Against Wrong.

Cyclist fired for flipping off Trump's motorcade is running for local office

The cyclist who was fired from her job last fall after flipping off President Trump's motorcade is running for local office in Virginia. Juli Briskman announced Wednesday she will seek a seat on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors in 2019.

Briskman, who went viral after a photographer caught her flashing her middle finger at Mr. Trump's black SUVs, filed paperwork to challenge Republican incumbent Suzanne M. Volpe in the Algonkian District.

"You might know me as the woman who was fired for flipping off the Presidential motorcade," Briskman wrote in her campaign announcement. "And while it may be the most public display of my political opinion and activism, I have been deeply involved in the Loudoun County community for nearly 20 years."

Volpe, who has been on the board since 2012, won her 2015 contest by 4.5 percentage points, according to the Loudoun Times-Mirror. Loudoun County historically votes for Democrats on the state and federal level, the Washington Post notes, but Republicans maintain control of the county board, 6 to 3. 

Briskman told The Post that she didn't consider running for office until last October, when she was forced out of her government contracting job. 

"We have a right to peacefully protest and criticize and express dissent toward our government," she told The Post. 

"I've gotten some feedback that folks say you should respect the president. Even if you don't like what they're doing, you shouldn't show this sort of disdain. And I simply disagree, and I think the Constitution grants me that privilege." 

Briskman did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CBS News.

Briskman was cycling on her usual path in Northern Virginia last Halloween when the president's black SUVs pulled up alongside her. A White House news photographer who was trailing behind immortalized the moment.

The photo of her gesture quickly went viral, and Briskman even featured the photo on her Facebook and Twitter pages. After she informed her employer of the photo, she said her bosses pulled her aside and told her she had violated the company's social media policy.

But if she had the opportunity, Briskman told The Post, she'd probably do it again.

She is unaware of what the Old Post Office was to Black DC residents. The Pavilion, as it was named when it became a commercial hub of the city, was a focus for social life. Before that, when it was abandoned, the homeless lived there, and transients found solace there. Prior to that DC residents from the top to the bottom of society and people from Virginia and Maryland gathered here for all kinds of reasons. 

Commerce is not for the president's gain, is not to be center of a presidency. But, in this administration Trump is using his office to make money that his devotees won't take into account as a lack of integrity, but as a clever business practice. Pouring U.S. tax dollars into his pockets when he goes to his resorts on official business is defended by his fan base. It is revelatory what we allow. As a nation, our credibility weakens daily under this administration, but the dumbass notions of white supremacy are allowed to undercut the status we have taken, and earned collectively for a simple and obvious reason. 

It is pointless to point this out to his base. Let them live with the inevitable outcome some decades from now, some of us say in disgust. But, being that dismissive is ignorant. Anything done by another affects us all. Citizens have to be conscious and mature enough to care at this level and white Americans have to enlarge their view of their priorities to understand the undercutting effect of their Doctrine of Discovery.

That Smell is not a Scent.

Ivanka Trump as fine and elegant as she is made the mistake of stepping out of her field of expertise into an arena she and her father are ill-equipped and not trained for participation. There are games within the Game of Life we are born for, and train for in this complex game that overlaps with others and needs the relationships with others to sustain itself. It centers powers to have relationships, but fear based relationships in politics produces dictators in leadership roles, and subservient government officers. It is in the eyes these dynamics show, but denial, as illustrated in the European story of the Emperor's New Clothes, smells like fear, and white Americans are afraid of Donald Trump because they smell like him... - Gregory E. Evidence of the Fool!

I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration.



I have not read the New York Times' opinion editorial released the other day anonymously in the literary form of a diatribe against Donald Trump. The excerpts on the news are all I've read. Someone, in this administration, has moral fiber and the texture of responsibility floods his or her being with integrity. At the core of this piece consider the weight of this small quote:

"...we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic. That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump's more misguided impulses until he is out of office. The root of the problem is the president's amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making."

White House press secretary, Sarah Sanders believes and said, "This coward should do the right thing and resign." The unnamed official who wrote this editorial said others at his/her level, who are like-minded, chose to stay on the job to save the country from President Trump believing the President's leadership style is erratic, and his "...leadership style is petty and ineffective."

In response to the assertions in the opinion piece, Republican senator, Bob Corder, stood in front of reporters today and said with clear eyes and clarity; "It wasn't new news to me. It wasn't new news to anybody who served in the Senate." Bob Woodward's book, "FEAR" paints Trump "as ignorant and impulsive and of aides who struggle to reign him in".

With over 3,000 recorded lies, to date, coming out of the president's mouth the question to precede any response is: "Is he lying?"

We are long past a tolerable point. There is no parent or spouse who would suffer three thousand lies from a child, or a relative and maintain the possibility the child is telling the truth! Such a low standard in a marriage does not survive, if such a one exists! There is something amiss in the purpose of this presidency, and something hides within the shadows of the allegiance for this man, who has built a reputation over the decades in business based upon his name, and not dependent upon integrity, but his ability to bring value to the market place.

That's his value. His substance is not based upon moral integrity. His presence in high office is telling a profound story millions refuse to acknowledge because of things they want that are consistent with their vision in life for and from this country. All of this is buried in the long history of the psychopath of the European characters that left that land that likes to call itself a continent without fulfilling the qualifications for such a distinction!

A fundamental question to ask in the shadow of these facts is: "Is there an agreement to undermine the very strength of a nation's core to maintain a divisive substance that will temporarily validate a belief system itself not beneficial to all citizens?"

There is a lot of buzzing around in the White House. People, up to the Vice President, are denying they wrote this opinion piece. There is an opinion poll on the television screen, right now, pointing out that 64% of the people, at least, in the Washington DC area think this is article is treasonous, and 37% believe it is patriotic! It will change each minute, but understanding the pulse of this area the outcome will be stirring because the two words: treason and patriotic mean one thing to white Americans and something different to Native Americans and Black Americans, who are not considered in the estimation of this White House.

[Many] Asian woman's provocative way of being unstable in the stability of mutual support from a googling male population, and assertions of feminism in their own countries is a cultural challenge read by American culture with not much accuracy. Under the pleasure of assuming superiority many Americans think they understand Asian cultures. With this mistaken belief system the danger of negotiating with any Asian nation, from a presidency like Trump's, is a disaster waiting to express chaos. In the criminal mind weaknesses Trump displays with aplomb are played with by manipulative killers, because white men like Trump think there are no things unattainable to them.
