MOTHERING

"There is both a shallowness and a depth to celebrity parenting, but celebrities should not be the models of parents for parents. Famous actors, and actress operate from another level. They are not crippled by inertia. They have committed themselves to the higher levels of being to attain the things they have achieved in life. Their lifestyle, and how they got there creates  vibrations above the mundane commitments to the mediocre that passes for the mindsets of most of their fans." - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories

actress Helen Hunt

"Mothering is an art, and it has form. The traditional stories of indigenous people in the world instructs just as good as the Hebrew people’s stories. If I listened only to the Hebrew stories as preached by the Western church without discernment, or the presence of my ancestral voices I would have not been able to raise the children I raised. After such an accomplishment reflection is more appropriate a state of mind to be in. People in the Western world are fond of their pithy sayings (we are), and the clichés around parenting are simple minded and destructive. Across the TV screen, and in courtrooms across the landscape are parents; troubled by their children’s antics who have not reached the wisdom children need to nurse from. This culture has demonized the ancient rituals and developmental tools that understood the elements, and sacredness of growth and convinced modern day parents there are no indicators from parent to the invisible world that understands the times one is born in, and the children they have brought into the world..."
