LOVE AMERICAN STYLE

Aylen Alvarez's look, she says, "when she doesn't get what she wants..."

There is a lot inherent within the old colloquialism, 'Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am', that has not changed since its inception into American English, and the dichotomy of masculine dominance over women's bodies.

Historically, it has been a thinly disguised way to justify using women's bodies as if no soul lives within. But, here we are together in the early part of the 21st century, and the catch phrases, and words of the last century that led a literate and thoughtful populace into behavioral discipline, and critical analysis of government, corporate, and military complexes has gone the way of the dinosaurs. In its stead are reality shows titled Big Brother, for example, played out for a infantile mind not well read, or intelligently analytical of corporations, and governmental policies that directly and indirectly interfere with the basic tenets and assumptions of freedom.

The butt of international jokes for and about our contradictions affect our daughters, and our sons adversely. As each year following the bombings of September 11, 2001 increases in distance the only population in the world that sees us as the victims of terrorism are US citizens. Our grandchildren and their children are less likely to experience the reality of freedoms fought for justly. The insights into the mysterious depths of life are less likely to be taught by the wisdom of the ages or wise elders during initiatory rituals and ceremonies because of what we hold dear as a collective, and believe to be the 'American Way'!

Today, when it is still popular for women to rejoice in a man's predatory practice of taking a woman's body for his pleasure and leaving to the next woman the spirit of the phrase, "Wham Bam Thank You, Ma'am' continues to be the predator's lure of the injured souls considered less than in the social and mathematical equation of acquisition. - Gregory E.
