TRADITION OF THOUGHT

As a preacher (Christian), I'm deeply concerned that the Christian community has become too judgmental of all races, cultures, ethnicities, and ideologies. While I understand there may be a faith and theological difference, we must seek areas of commonality. Faith is important, but I do believe in my heart that the love of God wants us to reach out in love, compassion, and understanding. We don't have to agree with everything and nor should we, however, we have a responsibility to love everyone. When we're able to love everyone, peace can resonate. When we're able to throw away stereotypes and unfair labels, our children can see people as human beings and not strangers, aliens, or foreigners. - Dr. Sinclair Grey III 9.16.13

There is a crucial gap in the capacity of Christians to grasp what you are saying, Sinclair and it lies in the disobedience to scriptures. In Paul's life he wrote, "Study to show thyself approved unto God..." There are other references to the art of study and writing. The Jewish tradition of rational thought, argument and study found a way to fade away from lay people subscribed to Western Christianity.

What I am driving at is a need to gain an understanding of the Axial Period in history. This will broaden the scope of understanding others and where they are. . . - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 9.16.13
