THOUGHTS on Black women's energies

pin up girl captured by a Black man

Reading this story about Pin up girls I decided not to refer to the few Black women posing for this style of feminine expression as girls, but women. Perhaps because I associate maturity with Black models, and dumbness seems to always be thrust, in American culture, to white women. That is a long history and the piece, Pin Up Girl Style for Black Women written by an anonymous Black Canadian woman spells out her perspectives as a woman on a subject men love to be authorities on. It is time for the 'object' to speak for herself, and for us to listen with open ears as men to what women feel in their role in the unbalanced game of sexuality and gender in its past and present tense. - Gregory E. "It is an odd task trying to capture the essence of oneself outside the medium of introspection, but that has been attempted and done by artists, dreamers, and musicians for a long time. How does a cell phone camera fare? It is a matter of interpretation, or is it a legitimate capture, or gaze into one's being?

Perhaps the ANK asks the questions and tells the answers!" - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 10.23.13

MOTHER'S nipple

Monique Washington
Ah, that touches me deeply, Monique. My first wife nursed our third child, Vania for 18 months. The breasts created and added intangibles to her beauty and power as a child and now a woman. I remember being breast fed. I talk about it with Mommy. The bond, the specialness of it is beyond words. I have not read anyone's comments yet, but I will point out the beauty of you breast feeding your child is the powerful story between Mary and Jesus, and most women and their children up until recent history.

As a father I encourage you. I love the testament of truth, and power expressed suckling on Mother's breast. Thank you for sharing a moment of revelation with us, Monique.

on the peripheral of normal men’s consciousness...

Monqiue Washington
I am and have always been fascinated by beauty, women, dignity within women, and by what I see and perceive looking at and within a woman. Hence, the number of pictures I have posted here for public viewing, and my private creative process which is a spiritual discipline outside of most men’s spheres of knowing. Photographers are magicians to me. The best ones I should clarify include rank amateurs with an eye to capture a moment of truth, a story within a moment with numerous potential to tell stories, and the photographers with an unbending determination to capture the essence, the soul of a subject, a landscape, view are by comparison: teachers, prophets, artists, and magicians. It is a high calling perceiving, and seeing Beauty. She is a mythical creation, and a mystical charmer of our erogenous zones, and spiritual palettes.” – Gregory E. Woods
