the TREE OF LIFE

Walt Thirion Photography

"Tree glowing in sunset -- lucky enough to see this tree lit up by the sunset while driving through the Santa Fe National Forest. I like the way the clouds spray out, too." - Walt Thirion

Tree of Life.

"Certain Asiatic myths carry through centuries the continuity of their religious and social structures. They can be compared to very old trees of knowledge whose fruits have dried on their branches for lack of any renewed sap. Contrarily, the Qabala has died and has resurrected many, many times amidst spectacular displays, on each occasion accomplishing and then burying its past.

If, by chance, we happen today to be in such a time, we are the very conjunction, the very timeless spark, which at one time appeared as Abraham, at another time as Mosheh, and later as Jesus. That pinpoint of recurrent eternity is the Qabala."

~ Carlo Suarès, author The Cipher Of Genesis: The Original Code of the the Qabala as Applied to the Scriptures

What Many Avoid:

“Life in itself is an empty canvas; it becomes whatsoever you paint on it. You can paint misery, you can paint bliss. This freedom is your glory.”

A Gentle Touch

Walt Thirion Photography

"Greenland Icebergs
- I just finished a 12 day, 2400nm expedition/exploration around
Greenland and the icebergs and fjords are awesome." - Walt Thirion

"Ice bergs are evidence of more water trapped into a large monument on earth. God created with mankind in mind. Water is a gift given from above, to feed and refresh the life of man. This photo is a reminder that He has provided us with the basic tools in life to live. As the Lord lives, so does man, we are blessed with the gifts from above, air, water and soil, praise the Lord!" - Yolanda Alvarado

"It is not by chance, but by purpose a woman would perceive this and interpret it thus. Would that one day men's inspirations, and thought processes be dependent upon women's sensitivity to water and birth. One day. Maybe one day the ice in the heart of men will melt." - Gregory E. Woods, 2.3.14

Photographer, Walt Thirion specializes in fine art images of Landscapes, underwater photography and street photography. His pictures of the melting icebergs in Greenland are particular, and poignant in their majesty. The floating icebergs on top of the world, beautiful they are, disturbs the soul of me because the ice is melting, why it is melting, and the fact of the number of Americans choosing to believe it is not melting. How deep is our entitlement?
