indigenous teachings from Mereana Taki

TAMARIKI MOKOPUNA ...

"Tama is sourced direct from Grandfather Sun Tama-te Ra, the Divine Spark. An Ariki is an Elder of the most revered status amongst Chiefly Kin. Riki on its own can also denote a smaller example of an Ariki. Tamariki is our Nativez word for Children. Our Children are the greatest legacy the Human Family has.

Mokopuna is sourced from Moko, meaning Blueprint and Puna, meaning Wellspring. Our Grandchildren. As Children of the Universe our greatest gift to life is Aroha e ...all embracing presence and Lifebreath of our Supreme Creator. We have been encouraged to give negative energy flows into the care of our Supreme Creator; whatever names we give, they will be answered and understood. Whaea Rose Pere reminds us that; 'Elders teach us that everything in the Universe is perfect ...untill being compared to or with someone or something else or when influenced by negative forces'. Aroha ki te tangata is one of our core ideals ...to extend all embracing unconditional Love to all of Humanity. Our Tamariki Mokopuna are often our reminders to observe these virtues, values and ideals ...as all energies travel ...often to those most vulnerable to negative energy flow ...our tamariki mokopuna. Kia mau tonu ki nga mea pono o kui me koro ma nga whanaunga. Hold fast to the Wisdoms of our Elders Whanau Kin. Kia tau te rangimarie ...walk in peace and calm in all that is said and done." - teachings from Mereana Taki
