"A man needs a mistress just to break the monogamy." This is funny to someone in a good marriage, but to the weaker man it is an anthem, an impetus to play around with other women. I remember at work a long time ago a black man, a messanger by trade, stood in front of me shedding his facade. His infidelity had destroyed his wife, and his self-esteem was shattered by the boldness of following his dick to other women. Distraught everything he had been taught had abandoned him leaving him on the verge of losing a seven year marriage. He was in tears.
It is hard to watch a grown man cry without a mask. Everything within me wanted to hold him. I touched his arm, and asked him obvious questions to get him to speak clearly. Within his story the inadaquacies of his concept of manhood, marriage, communication, and 'pussy' (this is man talk) streamed out of him bouncing off the Bible he swore by.
