GRANDFATHERS speak in a world of trivial pursuits

We Have Moved Away

we have moved away from the Old Teachings
we are now embracing the new world order

we have moved away from the Old Medicines
we are now embracing pharmaceuticals

we have moved away from the Old Ways
we have 'invented' new ones

we have moved away from the fires
that we created with Brush and Wind and Breath

as we now pour gasoline on the b...ranches
because we are in a hurry
as we spit on the ground, Our Mother

we have moved away from Everything that Worked for us
we have embraced a broken world
in which nothing works or grows anymore

we swam in the Waters and drank
from Streams Mother Nature had provided for us
now we live in a polluted world
in which you cannot drink or swim the waters

we have moved away from our World
in which the Elders were the Source for Everything
we are now embracing a world in which there is no place for the Elderly
and we lock them away in 'old-folks-homes' to rot in loneliness

we have moved away from our Life
It is now time to take it back.

snooki is a reality star in trivial pursuit.

“Yes, it is past the time. I fear the truth of who we have become. We know the truth of your words, but the truth of the nation we live in will not respond responsibly to the err of our thinking about age, the aged, or the Elders. Eldership has no value in a consumer's mind set upon eating and discarding. It is movement and stagnation that attracts this kind of a beast. As long as there is movement forward, and a push against the aging process the focus of the young, and the middle aged consumer cannot set anything in its rightful place.” - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories
