Hard if you Colored!

"These stories need to be embedded in our stories. It would change a lot of us steering us collectively towards the direction of excellence the stars, and artists of the 1940's were aiming towards."

Dorothy Dandridge with her husband one of the Nicholas Brothers,

What a painful life she led. Given that as a cultural background and the life stories of countless Black folks who lived during the Jim Crow years logic would dictate a different mentality amongst Black Amricans today. The logic follows a course of evolution that should happen to a people after the struggles from bondage, and its aftermath of terror. We missed something, and we got what we got. Here in the 21st century and grappling with the same issues of identity and place and purpose with the language of the 1940's, the 1970's?
