Challenge to Reason

I disagree that religion is for fools. It is for several good reasons, but religion is necessary for many people's evolution. It is a safe space for the brute, for example, who needs a religion to be his/her focus tool, for lack of a better term. It is a place never intended to be permanent. It was meant to be a series of steps that lead to understanding, initiation, enlightenment  and Knowing!

Mathematically, religion, as I see it, is a triangle and Knowing is a circle. Looking at the top of a pyramid is the tip of the relationship between preacher and lay person, master and student, Iman and congregants, Pope and his followers. It is the zenith, the end of what can be learned from religion. Fears set in here at this point if the next right step is to step off and away from the pyramid into the unknown to become a part of the concentric circles of Knowing. It moves the mind, and the spirit into the deep feeling of what Creation is, and a person comes to be embraced within ever evolving light and concentric circles reveal that the shadow of death is light viewed from another angle, and Creation is not a fixed point in a distant past, but a continual moment ever in the present.

Lay persons in most faiths, as I understand religions I've studied, don't have this language and many lack the fundamental skills to intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually grasp what this means in the sacred language of math and law. I suspect it doesn't become clear until one's death visits, or they die and cross over into the next world(s). - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 12.12.13
