the deeper

1st thing in the morning is expectation. The more potent your energies at any age sex engaged in the euphoria of waking up alive from sleep, the more power you have awakened. Sleep is the 'little death', as ancient Hebrew's taught each waking soul in their perceptions of the world around them. It is in the mystery of living that invigorates and the imagination to take pleasures from it while immersed in the elixir of vitality that is Aleph. ~ Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories [August 10, 2018]

Quietness is its own solace, a state of awareness. In a woman, it comforts, in a man it is a different kind of force. Merged the union is quietness. - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories [August 10, 2018]

Black American women defy definition. At the same time, defy the logic of intentional oppression and come out of fires transforming all within them! This is a mysterious force in their natures... - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 8/10/18

"Red haired sexy Black woman, like this, are by nature forceful and in their beauty the powers of it feel tangible. It's really something and hard to grasp logically!..." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 8/10/18

MARRIED with grace?

Clint & Dina Eastwood in 2010 at the Governor's Awards at the Grand Ball Room.
Today, legendary actor/ director Clint Eastwood is 82 years old with two grown daughters, one a 40 year old , Alison, and a 47 year old wife! How? is a common reaction to the revelation. How does a man that old keep a marriage as long as theirs. They were wed in 1996.

The first assumption is his wealth, but money can't sustain love, or does it? Financial woes has long been sighted as the cause of most of divorces. Infidelity, cruelty, boredom, etc. These have contributed to the dissolution of marriages, but the financial piece is the heavy hitter in a capitalistic culture.  Women have long sought financial security in their marriages, and traditional societies since ancient times deemed the fitness of a man's ability to provide as a major contribution to the esteem of the families, clan, tribe, and their futures. If judgments of this sort determine respect so does the ability to produce healthy children, protect his family, garner and maintain respect, and most important have a good family name!

Stability, marriage, and love are, as the song goes, 'a many splendored thing'. So, what do we ask ourselves of Mr. Eastwood's choice of mate? If we were sitting with him, and the subject came up how would one learn what he understands about marriage? How does one approach the Elders with questions fundamental to young people's maturation should that be a top priority, but alas the nature of American's is self-centered, fearful, and too narrow to grasp the depth of these need. In this society Eldership is a wisp of air, a footnote, something quaint and cute to recall. It isn't vital to economic stability, but the imbalance due to the disregard for Eldership is a root of the soulless quality of American life.

Asking, or admiring Hollywood marriages isn't the wisest thing to do. If your quest is to understand, and develop deep insight into the deeper mysteries in the oldest and most important, and powerful of unions between a man and woman look around you, and the place you live and work!

Clint Eastwood was first married for 31 years to Maggie Johnson. He followed this marriage with actress and singer Sondra Locke as his girlfriend for 14 years. They made some good movies together. Six movies I believe they made together. I saw a few of them. After they broke up Clint Eastwood met one of my favorite beauties, and actress, Frances Fisher, and they had a daughter, Francesca, now 16. Five years later she was free of him, and I was unsuccessful getting her attention. My recollection was the two split after Clint met Dina Ruiz, who was 35 years younger than him. They married in 1996.

As far as I know Frances Fischer is single and unavailable for a casual lunch, or coffee in LA somewhere. Pity, I am all the way on the East coast.  - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 4.26.13

2013 - The Year of The Sacred Feminine

mysterious energies of Shriya Saran
My New Year's resolution starts a month late. I want to blog with some regularity. Am I going to be able to maintain a once-a-week commitment? I have had time to consider it carefully as the year 2013 begins. Once again, the doomsday prophets misunderstood— the world did not end on Dec 21, 2012— the new era began as in our journey towards conscious evolution as we become, in Barbara Marx Hubbard's terms, 'homo universalis.'

Why 2013 as the year of the Sacred Feminine? ‘Triskaidekaphobia’ (the fear of the number 13) is why many high-rise buildings and hotels go straight from 12 to 14. There are 13 lunar and menstrual cycles in a calendar year; the moon travels 131 degrees in the sky every 24 hours. Physically, emotionally and intuitively, women are linked to the moon.

To the patriarchal mindset the number 13 represented femininity. Just as any new age tries to differentiate itself from past eras, considering the number 13 unlucky can been seen as part of the patriarchal suppression of the lunar calendar in favor of the solar cycle. Time to change that belief as we move forward. As we see the values of the Sacred Feminine begin to influence American society, we celebrate society finding ways of leveling the playing field of all members of our human family as an example to all — same sex marriage is becoming accepted by a majority of people, more women are being voted into office, we are starting to look at the utter stupidity of allowing the public access to assault weapons and their murderous clips. The majority of Americans are beginning to realize that women are autonomous beings and need to be in charge of decisions about their own bodies. Climate change, eradicating pollution, finding alternatives to nuclear energy— it seems everything is entering our field of awareness, begging for solutions that will benefit ourselves, our planet and the generations that are yet to come.

Just as I welcome 2013 and the new age, I welcome your comments on ways in which you see evidence of the rise of the Sacred Feminine in our journey to conscious evolution. by
