a CHEROKEE ELDER'S wisdom

Determination to succeed

“As we become older there will finally come a time in most of our lives when we must decide to take an action. When that time arrives we must go forward with the action in confidence believing the action will be successful and benefit us.

When we take the action we have decided on we should be willing to compromise a little and make some sacrifices along the way. Each of us must be willing to make a few changes and rearrange our priorities and our way of thinking in order for us to achieve our goal.

Very often things that are familiar and things we are comfortable doing must be challenged. We must gain strength and become strong enough to try our very best to make our life better and be able to take a few chances and create a better reality.

When we decide to take any action to better our life we must become confident in our self-ability. We must be bull headed and be determined not to settle for a partial success but only settle for complete success.

This is the time in our life when we must find our own way of doing things. Just because someone else did something one-way and failed or was successful does not necessarily mean that is the way we should do it. We must never let anyone convince us their way is the only way.

Become the successful person you want to be by setting and developing very high goals and equally high standards and do what it takes to achieve those goals and standards. If something gets in your way find a method to deal with it and remove it out of your way.

Here on earth there is nothing stronger than a determined person and their will to achieve their goal. Be determined to succeed a set goal and you will succeed…” - James Robert Running Fox Moss
