A fat woman naked has been deemed inappropriate in one lexicon, and more brutally replaced by malnourished body types as the standard of beauty for haute couture contemptuously. Removed from thousands of years of being the conceptual art form of divinity, lusted after, and courted, admired, and held lovingly the meaning of today’s fat woman is reviled in one culture and in another adorable. But this sweeping view of fat women is complex. The assertions made between the illusions of the fashion industry, the flapping gossips in the news business, and the fear tinged attention grabbing alarms the pharmaceutical, and fitness industries blast across the internet and television alter the perception of the Goddess, and in the same breath cripples self-esteem and devalues the sacred aspects of a woman: her vagina, her menstrual cycles, her birthing process, her breasts, and her face, and in the same breath it is accepted by millions as OK.
